Rudskogen Motorsenter is Norway’s oldest asphalt race circuit, opened on May 20, 1990. It has hosted rounds of the TCR Scandinavia Touring Car Championship, Danish Thundersport Championship, Swedish GT Series, NBF GT Championship, GT4 Scandinavia, Danish Super GT, V8 Thunder Cars, Formula STCC Nordic and F4 Danish Championship. In 2006 the Norwegian government selected Rudskogen Motorsenter as the main national motorsport facility. The venue was rebuilt by Hermann Tilke and re-opened in 2012.The current motorcycle and car racing track at Rudskogen Motorsenter is 3.254 km (2.022 mi) long, set in rolling forest terrain and considered technically demanding for drivers. The longest straight is 640 m (2,100 ft) and the elevation difference is 42 m (138 ft). Races for cars and bikes are arranged there in a variety of classes and the track is also hired out privately for corporate events and organisational training, for example for emergency services personnel. The Rudskogen karting track, located at the same facility, is 1.2 km (0.75 mi) long and satisfies international karting standards. A range of large-scale events have taken place at this track including a round of the European Karting Championship in 2005. Data from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute shows that the circuit at Rudskogen can be in use for 8 weeks longer per year than other existing race circuits in Norway, because of the southerly location.

Os is one of three parishes in the municipality of Rakkestad in southeastern Norway. The parish was separated from Rakkestad parish in about 1878. The parish, between Rakkestad village and Glomma, forms the northwestern part of the municipality, and covers an area of about 44 square kilometres (17 sq mi).

Rudskogen Motorsenter Station (Norwegian: Rudskogen motorsenter holdeplass) was a railway station on the Eastern Østfold Line located at Rudskogen in Rakkestad, Norway. Situated 62.90 kilometers (39.08 mi) from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), it featured a simple platform. The station was located next to the motorsport venue Rudskogen Motorsenter. The station was opened on 19 May 1990 and was only used that year. It was only served during sporting events with shuttle trains operating to a parking lot located next to Kampenes Station.

Jelsnes is a village in Sarpsborg municipality, Norway. Its population is 308. Jelsnes is located in the north of Tunøya, and belonged to Tune municipality before 1992. The mayor of Sarpsborg, Sindre Martinsen-Evje, comes from Jelsnes.

Skiptvet Church (Norwegian: Skiptvet kirke) is a medieval stone church dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Skiptvet in Østfold county, Norway. Supposedly built in the second half of the 12th century (the date is not documented), it stands on a ridge west of the Glomma River. The church belongs to the Church of Norway and is part of the Deanery of Vestre Borgesyssel in the Diocese of Borg.The original church burned in 1762 and parts of it were rebuilt. None of the original furnishings remain. The current altarpiece portraying the Eucharist was painted by Albert Lobech in 1768 and was kept by the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History until 1937, when the church was restored by Harald Sund. The baptismal font is made of wood and was created by Harald Sund and Helge Amundsen. There is a cemetery next to the church.

Rakkestad Station (Norwegian: Rakkestad stasjon) is located in Rakkestad, Norway on the Eastern Østfold Line. The station is also served by the Oslo Commuter Rail line R22 from Oslo S with two trains during rush hour. Rakkestad Station was opened in 1882 as part of the eastern section of the Østfold line and is the terminal station for the commuter rail services.

Rakkestad Airport, Åstorp (Norwegian: Rakkestad flyplass, Åstorp; ICAO: ENRK) is a private general aviation airport located at Åstorp in Rakkestad in Viken county, Norway. It features a 1,080-meter (3,540 ft) runway aligned 15/33. The airport serves a maintenance base of Norrønafly–Rakkestad, the aviation club Rakkestad Flyklubb and the parachuting club Nimbus Fallskjermklubb. The airport is operated by Rakkestad Flyplass AS, which has Rakkestad Municipality as a majority owner. The airport was built by Norrønafly in 1970. Originally it featured a 600-meter (2,000 ft) grass runway. It has been home to the aviation club since 1972. The airport underwent a major upgrade in 1998 when it received state grants to build a 860-meter (2,820 ft) asphalt runway.

Hasle is a village in the municipality of Sarpsborg, Norway, located on the eastern bank of Glomma. Its population is 698. Before 1992 Hasle was a part of Varteig municipality.
