County Road 178 (Norwegian: Fylkesvei 178 or Fv178) runs between Eltonåsen in Nannestad and Jessheim in Ullensaker, Norway. The road is 11.1 kilometers (6.9 mi) long. Prior to 1 January 2010, the road was a national road, but after reclassification, it became a county road.

The 2020 Gjerdrum landslide was a quick clay landslide that occurred in the early hours of 30 December 2020 at Ask village, the administrative centre of Gjerdrum, Norway. It spanned a flow off area of 300 by 700 metres (980 by 2,300 ft) and additionally affected 9 hectares (22 acres) by debris flow. Several buildings were destroyed, most of them houses and apartment buildings. As of 22 March 2021, ten people had been confirmed killed by the landslide.In 2022, the police charged Gjerdrum Municipality. The causes of the landslide [... had by 2022 been] investigated by police; another investigation, tasked with finding - prior to August 2021 - the causes of the landslide, will be performed by a group of experts.

Kløfta is a town located in Ullensaker, Akershus, Norway. It has a population of approximately 7,170 inhabitants. Kløfta has a soccer team called Kløfta IL, and a shopping market. Kløfta has three schools – a middle school and two first through seventh grade school. Literally translated, the name means 'the cleft' in English. It probably refers to a junction of three roads heading for Oslo, Trondheim and Kongsvinger. At Kløfta, the road RV2 towards Sweden branches off from the E6. Two railway lines to the north also split here. Norway's main prison, Ullersmo prison, is located in Kløfta. It is also home to some of the largest farming equipment companies in Norway. Ullensaker Church, built in 1958, lies just outside Kløfta. This church is often referred to as the "Romerike cathedral". Augustus "Gus" Halvorsen Hilton (1854-1919), the father of American hotelier Conrad Hilton and emigrant to the United States, was born at Kløfta Kløfta was, until 1995, the location of a longwave broadcasting station, which broadcast on 216 kHz.

Kløfta Station (Norwegian: Kløfta stasjon) was opened at Kløfta in 1854 as a part of Norway's first railway, the Trunk Line between Oslo and Eidsvoll.The station was originally called Kløften, but the name was changed to Kløfta in 1920. A new station was built at Kløfta as part of the construction of the Gardermoen Line in 1998.

Nystulia (1–147, 2–148) is a road built as a three-part road network in a residential area of the same name in the village of Ask in the municipality of Gjerdrum in Viken county. The road has access via three intersections from the road Fjellinna, where each branch of Nystulia does not meet in the residential area. The river Tistilbekken flows partly open and partly in pipes through Nystulia. The residential area was hit by the 2020 Gjerdrum landslide on the night of 30 December 2020, which is described as the most serious in Norway of this type in recent times.

Sand is a village in Ullensaker municipality in Akershus, Norway. The village lies halfway between Gardermoen and Jessheim. The village was previously its own urban area, but now is part of the urban area of Jessheim. Raknehaugen, Ljøgodttjernet, Olaløkka and Kjosbakken are places in Sand. Sand is the location of Ullensaker golfklubb (UGK). Sand also has its own football team, named Sand IL. The first team played for a while in the Norwegian 8th division and play their home games at the Olaløkka stadion. The sports club have activities for all ages, including skiing, basketball, table tennis, BMX, skateboarding, aerobics and dance.
