Sobadhanavi Power Station

The Yugadanavi Power Station (also known as Kerawalapitiya Power Station) is a large oil-fired power station in Sri Lanka. The 300 MW power station is located in Kerawalapitiya, in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. Construction of the power station began in November 2007, and progressed in two phases, with the first 200 MW phase completing in a record 10 months, and the second phase completing later in February 2010. Phase 1 of the power station was ceremonially inaugurated by President Mahinda Rajapakse on 8 December 2008. The US$300 million power station was supported by a €152 million debt component through HSBC, which was supported by export credit agencies in the United States, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, France, and Austria.

The Aitken Spence Power Station (formerly referred to as the Meethotamulla Power Station) is a municipal solid waste-fired thermal power station currently under construction at Muthurajawela, Sri Lanka. It was originally planned to be built at Meethotamulla, the site of a large solid waste landfill which was under international media spotlight after the 2017 Meethotamulla garbage landslide which killed over 30 people. The power station will operate approximately 7500 hours a year, utilizing the 700 metric tons (1,500,000 lb) of fresh waste from the Colombo Municipal Council area, daily. The power station in being built together with the KCHT Power Station. The facility will generate 11.5 megawatt (MW) of power, of which 9.7 MW will be sold to the state-owned Ceylon Electricity Board, at a rate of Rs. 37.10 per KWh generated. Construction of the US$98 million power station began on 10 August 2017, and is expected to complete by 2020. It will be operated by Western Power Company Limited, a subsidiary of Aitken Spence. The power station's PUCSL energy license is EL/GS/13-03.

Kerewalapitiya is a suburb of Wattala, which acts an interchange to connect the Airport Expressway and the OCE-Expressway. Kerawalpitiya has opened an icon for Sri Lanka's largest privately owned power station, the Yugadanavi Power Station, and the beach resorts are attested in provision to satisfy the creation to the Airport Expressway and the reclamation of the old Dutch Canal.

Mabola or Mabole is a town and Urban Council in Gampaha District in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. With Wattala it forms Wattala–Mabola urban council. It is located in Negombo road and it is the route for travel to Bandaranaike International Airport. The newly constructed, Sri Lanka's second E Class highway, Colombo - Katunayake Expressway E03 crosses to the seaside through Mabola.

Naval Boat Building Yard (NBBY) is a shipyard of the Sri Lanka Navy situated in Welisara that produce small and specialist watercraft for the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, state institutions and civilians.

Navy Ground is a cricket ground in Welisara, Sri Lanka. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 2002 when Galle Cricket Club Under-23s played Nugegoda Sports and Welfare Club Under-23s. First-class cricket was first played there in 2006 when Burgher Recreation Club played Saracens Sports Club in the 2006/07 Premier Trophy. To date twenty first-class matches have been held there, though home side Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club didn't start playing there until the 2009/10 season. The first List A was held there in the 2006/07 Premier Limited Overs Tournament when Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club played Sri Lanka Army Sports Club. To date, ten List A matches have been played there.

Wattala (Sinhala: වත්තල, Tamil: வத்தளை) is a large suburb of Colombo city, in Western Province, Sri Lanka, situated around 9 km from Colombo city centre. This suburb is situated on A3 highway from Colombo to Negombo. Around Wattala, there are many villages and towns. People from all walks of life live in this area. The traditional fisher folk, large sections of the working class, many types of white collar workers, a fair number of professionals and even some richer folk live here. Churches, Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, mosques, schools of various grades and many private dispensaries are spread throughout the area. Though it is a majority Roman Catholic area, people of many faiths live here in peaceful coexistence. A sizable population also exists of minority Tamils and a smaller percentage of Muslims. There has been no record of any violence used by one faith group or racial group against another. This area also produces many migrant workers. Almost all families produce one or more persons who go abroad for employment. The migrant workers also bring back income and therefore have an influence in creating new trends in the society. Wattala has become a popular area for living and buying property and has recently become the 3rd most popular city for house searches, according to property website LankaPropertyWeb.com

Hendala Leprosy Hospital, established in 1708, is considered one of the oldest leprosy hospitals in South Asia. It is in Hendala, Wattala, Sri Lanka. This historic institution has served patients for centuries. It is considered to be Asia's first leprosy hospital, and is also believed to be the oldest functioning hospital in the world.

St. Anthony's College, Wattala (Sinhala: ශා. අන්තෝනි විද්‍යාලය, වත්තල Tamil: சாந்த அந்தோனியார் வித்தியாலயம்) is a catholic boys' school in Wattala, Sri Lanka.

St. Anne's Church, Wattala (Sinhala: සා. ආනා දේවස්ථානය, වත්තල is a Roman Catholic church located in Wattala, Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. It was established in 1872 as another Church of the Archdiocese of Colombo. The church is dedicated to Saint Anne.

The Kelani River (Sinhala: කැළණි ගඟ) is a 145-kilometre-long (90 mi) river in Sri Lanka. The fourth-longest river in the country, it stretches from the Sri Pada Mountain Range to Colombo. It flows through or borders the Sri Lankan districts of Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura, Kegalle, Gampaha and Colombo. The Kelani River also flows through the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo, and provides 80% of its drinking water.

St. Sebastian's Church, Enderamulla (Sinhala: සා. සෙබස්තියන් දේවස්ථානය, එඬේරමුල්ල) is a Roman Catholic church in the Archdiocese of Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is located in Enderamulla, Wattala. The church was established in 1891. After being a co‑parish with Dalugama (1879–1903) and Kirimetiyagara (1903–1934), it was declared as an independent parish in 1934. A tiny fragment of Saint Sebastian's forearm bone is preserved in a special reliquary, which is located together with the Monstrance in a glass chamber inside the eucharistic chapel on the left side of the main church building.
