New Hadley Halt was a minor station between Oakengates and Wellington on the former Great Western Railway's London Paddington to Birkenhead via Birmingham Snow Hill line. It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1934. It was closed on 13 May 1985 due to uneconomic required repairs and it was demolished in 1986.

Hadley Learning Community is a coeducational all-through school for students from 5 – 16 years of age located in the community of Hadley in central Telford.The school opened on 1 September 2006 and is a £70 million PFI project, in partnership with Interserve. The campus consists of a Primary, Secondary and two special schools: 900 place secondary phase for 11-16 year olds, with 180 students in each year group, currently transitioning from this to 1200 places with 24p students in each year group as of September 2020 intake. This transition will be completed within 5 years. 420 place primary phase for 5-11 year olds with 60 children, in two classes, in each year group. 160 place Special School, The Bridge, which is co-located on the campus, for children with severe and profound disabilities. 40 place Special School, Queensway, for children who have an SEN statement with a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder (ASC) 60 place Local Authority Nursery, which has a morning and afternoon session for 30 children A Family Centre for children's services and an early intervention team ABC Nursery, which is privately run but works with HLC Community facilities, called The Circle, for sports which includes a swimming pool and fitness suite as well as a Public Library, Coffee shop, Theatre and Dance Studio all used by the public during the day, evenings, weekends and holidays.Previously a community school administered by Telford and Wrekin Council, in March 2018 Hadley Learning Community converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the Learning Community Trust.

Telford Town Football Club is an English football club from Wellington, Shropshire but currently located in Telford. The club plays in the West Midlands (Regional) League Division One. After many years in the Wellington League, the team was promoted to the Shropshire County Football League. They were promoted to the West Midlands (Regional) League in 2006. "The Ams" won Division One three times in four seasons and gained promotion to the Premier Division for 2012–13. In 2024 the club was taken over by businessman and former Hednesford Town owner Hayden Dando and renamed Telford Town Football Club.

Hadley is about 3 miles (5 km) north-west of Telford Town Centre, and is in the civil parish of Hadley and Leegomery (previously called simply "Hadley"). The population of the civil parish mentioned at the 2011 census was 14,166.It neighbours Wellington, a market town also part of Telford, and that town's two colleges of Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) and New College (NC), all to the west of Hadley. Wombridge Priory was a small Augustinian monastery in Shropshire. Established in the early 12th century, it was supported by a network of minor nobility and was never a large community. Despite generally good financial management, it fell within the scope of the Suppression of Religious Houses Act 1535 and was dissolved in the following year.

The station was opened in 1936 and closed in 1962.The station was located on the Severn Valley Line, which ran from Hartlebury to Shrewsbury. The station was a small halt, with minimal facilities and was primarily used by local residents and commuters. The station had a single platform, with a small shelter for passengers. The station was closed as part of the Beeching cuts, a process of rationalisation of the British railway system in the 1960s. The Severn Valley Line was deemed uneconomical to run and the station, along with many others on the line, was closed.

Trench Crossing railway station was a station in Trench, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1854 and closed in 1964. The line was lifted following closure but was relaid in the late 2000s as a single track to serve the Telford International Freight Park at Donnington.

Hollyhurst is an area in the civil parish of Oakengates, near the villages of Trench and Wrockwardine Wood in the Telford and Wrekin borough in Shropshire, England. It is located to the southeast and southwest of the villages and close to Wombridge. Nearby towns include Oakengates, Telford and Wellington. As well as the villages and areas of Hadley, Ketley and Donnington. The area is predominantly residential and close to the A442 road and the Wolverhampton - Shrewsbury Line. The nearest railway station is Oakengates railway station. It also forms part of the Oakengates and Hollyhurst Ward of Oakengates Town Council.
