Hadley, Shropshire

Hadley Learning Community is a coeducational all-through school for students from 5 – 16 years of age located in the community of Hadley in central Telford.The school opened on 1 September 2006 and is a £70 million PFI project, in partnership with Interserve. The campus consists of a Primary, Secondary and two special schools: 900 place secondary phase for 11-16 year olds, with 180 students in each year group, currently transitioning from this to 1200 places with 24p students in each year group as of September 2020 intake. This transition will be completed within 5 years. 420 place primary phase for 5-11 year olds with 60 children, in two classes, in each year group. 160 place Special School, The Bridge, which is co-located on the campus, for children with severe and profound disabilities. 40 place Special School, Queensway, for children who have an SEN statement with a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder (ASC) 60 place Local Authority Nursery, which has a morning and afternoon session for 30 children A Family Centre for children's services and an early intervention team ABC Nursery, which is privately run but works with HLC Community facilities, called The Circle, for sports which includes a swimming pool and fitness suite as well as a Public Library, Coffee shop, Theatre and Dance Studio all used by the public during the day, evenings, weekends and holidays.Previously a community school administered by Telford and Wrekin Council, in March 2018 Hadley Learning Community converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the Learning Community Trust.

Hadley railway station was a railway station serving the village of Hadley in Shropshire, England. The station served both the former Stafford to Shrewsbury Line and was the start of the branch to Coalport. The station was opened in 1849 and closed in 1964.The line through Hadley was closed from 1964, with the last remaining stretches of track being taken up in 1991. In the late 2000s a stretch of track was relaid to the Telford International Railfreight Park for freight purposes only. The current closest station is Wellington, or a little further afield are both Oakengates or Telford.

New Hadley Halt was a minor station between Oakengates and Wellington on the former Great Western Railway's London Paddington to Birkenhead via Birmingham Snow Hill line. It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1934. It was closed on 13 May 1985 due to uneconomic required repairs and it was demolished in 1986.

Ketley is a large village and part of Telford in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. It is a civil parish. Immediately to the north of Ketley is Hadley.

Wellington was a rural district in Shropshire, England from 1894 to 1974. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 based on the Wellington rural sanitary district. In 1934, under a County Review Order, it took in the disbanded Newport Rural District. It was abolished in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972, and went on to form part of the Wrekin district. Since 1998 this has been a unitary authority under the name 'Telford and Wrekin' (Telford being the new town now at the centre of the district).

Ketley Town Halt railway station was a station in Ketley, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1936 and closed in 1962.The station was located on the Severn Valley Line, which ran from Hartlebury to Shrewsbury. The station was a small halt, with minimal facilities and was primarily used by local residents and commuters. The station had a single platform, with a small shelter for passengers. The station was closed as part of the Beeching cuts, a process of rationalisation of the British railway system in the 1960s. The Severn Valley Line was deemed uneconomical to run and the station, along with many others on the line, was closed.

Trench Crossing railway station was a station in Trench, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1854 and closed in 1964. The line was lifted following closure but was relaid in the late 2000s as a single track to serve the Telford International Freight Park at Donnington.

Telford College is a further education college in Telford, Shropshire, England. It operates from one main site and many in-company training sites and community-based courses spread out across Shropshire and the whole of the United Kingdom. During 2017 the college improved its Ofsted rating to Grade 3.

New Dale Halt railway station was a station to the south of Ketley, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1934 and closed in 1962.

New Bucks Head is a stadium in Wellington, Shropshire, England and the home of Conference National football club AFC Telford United. It was originally built for Telford United to play at before they went bankrupt. The stadium is on the same site as the original Bucks Head, which had been home to Telford United and Wellington Town for over a century. The stadium was completed in 2003, and has a capacity of 6,300. It is covered on three out of four sides. The stadium lease and assets are currently held by Telford and Wrekin Council. Until 2020, the stadium regularly hosted Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. reserve fixtures. When Steven Gerrard returned from injury in the Liverpool Reserves it attracted one of the biggest crowds the stadium has ever seen. The stadium played host to the National youth lions cup final in the 2006–07 season involving Sandiacre Town and Milton United. It has also been used for international football, hosting England U16's against Wales U16's in the Victory Shield.

Wombridge Priory was a small Augustinian monastery in Shropshire. Established in the early 12th century, it was supported by a network of minor nobility and was never a large community. Despite generally good financial management, it fell within the scope of the Suppression of Religious Houses Act 1535 and was dissolved in the following year.
