Cheung Tung Road

North Lantau Highway is an expressway forming part of Hong Kong's Route 8, linking Hong Kong International Airport and Lantau Island with the rest of the territory. The road has three lanes in each direction for its entire length with full-width hard shoulders for emergencies and breakdowns. The speed limit is 110 kilometres per hour (68 mph) for most of its length, the highest of any road in Hong Kong. North Lantau Highway is 12.5 kilometres (7.8 mi) in length, beginning at Airport Road on Chek Lap Kok. The road then crosses onto Lantau Island and bypasses Tung Chung New Town. The road then travels along the northern coast of Lantau Island, next to the Airport Express and Tung Chung line of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR). This section is built on reclaimed land and through various cuttings. Finally, the road climbs over Ta Shui Wan and Tsing Chau Wan to meet the Lantau Link and its bridges.

Oyster Bay (Chinese: 小蠔灣), previously known as Siu Ho Wan in proposals, is an MTR station on the Tung Chung line to be constructed southwest of Siu Ho Wan depot in Siu Ho Wan, on Lantau Island. The station will be built at-grade around existing Tung Chung line tracks. The construction of the station was gazetted by the Hong Kong Government in June 2021. The station is expected to open for service in 2030, with the depot remaining in use.It is expected that the station will serve new properties surrounding Siu Ho Wan depot, of which the station will be named after.

Siu Ho Wan (Chinese: 小濠灣, lit. small inlet bay) is a bay on the north shore of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The bay has been largely reclaimed for bus depots. The Airport Express, Tung Chung line of the MTR and the North Lantau Highway run across the reclamation of the bay. The Siu Ho Wan MTR depot lies on the reclaimed shore between Ngau Kok Wan and is currently used by Airport Express, Tung Chung line and Disneyland Resort line.

Tai Ho Wan (Chinese: 大蠔灣; Cantonese Yale: daaih hòh wāan; lit. 'big oyster bay', also 大濠灣; 'big inlet bay') is a bay on the north shore of Lantau Island in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It is located west of Siu Ho Wan, and northeast of Tung Chung and Kei Tau Kok. The surrounding land was originally planned to be part of the North Lantau New Town scope, but there is a current slowdown in its plans because of the lack in population growth and environmental groups opposed to the next in abeyance. Tai Ho was originally a rural area, to the northern part there is a shoal extend and to the southern part is the foot of Lin Fa Shan. Slopes are covered with grassland and shrub forests. There are monsoonal nature of swamps, as well as a stream named Tai Ho Stream which flows into the Tai Ho Bay.

Lo Fu Tau (Chinese: 老虎頭; lit. 'Tiger's Head') is a mountain on Lantau Island, Hong Kong, with a height of 465 metres (1,526 ft) above sea level.

The Discovery Bay Tunnel (Chinese: 愉景灣隧道) is a toll tunnel that links Discovery Bay Road at Yi Pak Au to Cheung Tung Road at Siu Ho Wan beside the North Lantau Highway. It was built for the Discovery Bay residential development on the north-eastern coast of Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is open 24 hours everyday to vehicles approved by the Transport Department; including residents' coaches, goods vehicles for goods delivery and servicing functions, and Hong Kong Government vehicles are allowed to use the tunnel. The toll charge ranges between HK$ 50.00 to 250.00 depending on the type of vehicle. As the development is car-free, private vehicles are discouraged from entering. Private cars or private delivery vans can only enter with special permits issued in advance, between the hours of 09:00 and 18:00 every day. The tunnel is managed by HKR International Limited.

Pak Mong (Chinese: 白芒) is a village on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The village was founded by Hakka settlers during the Ming period in the 16th and 17th centuries, and prospered in the trade from Canton to Cheung Chau. Ferries from Castle Peak (old Tuen Mun) to Pak Mong to Mui Wo to Cheung Chau facilitating the trade. The kai-to ferry service between Tuen Mun and Pak Mong only terminating in 1986.

Ngau Kwu Long (Chinese: 牛牯塱; lit. 'cattle pasture valley') is a village on Lantau Island, Hong Kong, located near Tai Ho Wan, a bay on the northern shore of Lantau Island, and northeast of Tung Chung.

The Tuen Mun–Chek Lap Kok Link (Chinese: 屯門至赤鱲角連接路, abbreviated as TM–CLKL) is a road project in the New Territories, Hong Kong. It comprises two elements: the "Northern Connection" and the "Southern Connection". The Northern Connection comprises an undersea tunnel crossing the Urmston Road, linking Tuen Mun to the "Boundary Crossing Facilities" (BCF), an artificial peninsula connected to Hong Kong International Airport. The Southern Connection, officially named Shun Long Road (Chinese: 順朗路), comprises viaducts linking the BCF to North Lantau Highway on Lantau Island. The construction of the link has helped facilitate travel between the Northwest New Territories (Tuen Mun and Yuen Long Districts) and the Hong Kong International Airport and the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge (Hong Kong Port). Though the project lies entirely within Hong Kong territory, its construction is associated with the new Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge (HZMB). The estimated cost of the design, site investigation, and construction of the TM–CLKL (including associated works, like land reclamation) is about HK$46.71 billion. The Southern Connection mainline opened on 24 October 2018 to tie in with HZMB's commissioning and the remaining Northern Connection to Tuen Mun opened on 27 December 2020.

The New Territories West geographical constituency was one of the geographical constituencies in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 1998 to 2021. It was established in 1998 for the first SAR Legislative Council election and was abolished under the 2021 overhaul of the Hong Kong electoral system. Located in the western part of the New Territories, it was the largest geographical constituency in Hong Kong with 1,308,081 electorates in 2020. It consisted of Tsuen Wan District, Kwai Tsing District, Tuen Mun District, Yuen Long District and Islands District. In the 2016 Legislative Council election, it elected nine members of the Legislative Council using the Hare quota of party-list proportional representation.

Tai Ho Village or Tai Ho Tsuen (Chinese: 大蠔村; lit. 'big oyster village') is a village on Lantau Island, Hong Kong, located near Tai Ho Wan, a bay on the northern shore of Lantau Island, and northeast of Tung Chung.

Discovery Bay International School (DBIS) (Chinese: 愉景灣國際學校) is a coeducational international school located in Discovery Bay, Hong Kong. DBIS opened in January 1983, when Hong Kong Resorts International recognised a need to create a new school to serve Discovery Bay's growing community. The school is accredited with the Council of International Schools and Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
