The Rusch Botanical Gardens 2 acres (8,000 m2) are located at 7801 Auburn Boulevard in Citrus Heights, California, United States within Rusch Park. The Rusch Home site dates back to 1858. Originally Gardens were laid out in 1916. Now gardens are a State Site of Historical Interest. Gardens open daily, dawn to dusk.

The District has constructed new elementary schools in the past four years. Creekview Ranch Middle School was the most recent school to open in the district, first serving students for the 2008–2009 school year. All American Speedway is a 1/3-mile NASCAR-sanctioned paved oval racetrack located in Roseville, California, United States. The track first began operations in 1954. The track was originally a quarter mile long, but was renovated before the 2008 racing season to its current length of one third of a mile.Between the years 1977 and 1982, five NASCAR Winston Grand National West Series events were held at the track. Since the renovation prior to the 2008 season, sixteen more ARCA Menards Series West races have been held at the track. The venue also hosts an annual round of the SRL Southwest Tour.

Established in 1965, Adelante High School had only eight students and one instructor and occupied a single room of the Roseville City District's Atlantic Street School. The following year, Adelante moved to the Placer County Fairgrounds where the program grew steadily as the demand for alternative education grew. In 1980 with over 200 students and ten teachers, Adelante moved back to its birthplace, the Atlantic Street School, this time as the sole occupants.

In late September 2019, Stones Gambling Hall, located in Citrus Heights, near Sacramento, California, came to prominence due to a cheating scandal that became known as Postlegate. Mike Postle was publicly accused of cheating in poker games he participated in during livestream events hosted at Stones Gambling Hall. "Stones Live" livestream poker games utilized playing cards with embedded RFID sensors that scanned the playing cards and transmitted identifying information (the cards' suits and ranks) into the livestream's technical control room and to play-by-play announcers and color commentators; casino management and livestream supervisors also had access to real-time identifying information of otherwise unknown, facedown, cards. The initial public accusation of Postle's alleged cheating was made by poker color commentator, interviewer, and recreational player Veronica Brill, whose day job of analytic analysis for the medical industry was instrumental in her being emboldened to accuse Postle of cheating. Brill's allegations were reported by Scott Van Pelt on ESPN's SportsCenter during its October 3, 2019, broadcast. Initially, industry, local, and national media closely followed the evolving story, but interest waned after criminal charges were not brought by law enforcement, and as civil lawsuits were adjudicated, settled, or dismissed (see litigation).
