Mastrils

Landquart is a municipality in the Landquart Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It was formed when the municipalities of Igis and Mastrils merged on 1 January 2012 into the new municipality of Landquart. The municipality "Landquart" draws its name from a locality in the former municipality of Igis.

Landquart District is a former administrative district in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It had an area of 193.91 km2 (74.87 sq mi) and has a population of 25,555 in 2015. It was replaced with the Landquart Region on 1 January 2017 as part of a reorganization of the Canton.It consisted of two Kreise (circles) and nine municipalities: In 2008 the municipality of Says merged into Trimmis. In 2012, the municipalities of Igis and Mastrils merged to form the new municipality of Landquart. The district was formerly called Unterlandquart and additionally included the sub-districts of Schiers and Seewis, now part of Prättigau/Davos.

Landquart Region is one of the eleven administrative districts in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It had an area of 174.67 square kilometers (67.44 sq mi) and a population of 25,463 (as of 31 December 2020).. It was created on 1 January 2017 as part of a reorganization of the Canton.

The Landquart is a river of Switzerland in the canton of Grisons and a right tributary of the Alpine Rhine. It is formed by the confluence of the two mountain streams, Vereinabach and Verstanclabach, both originating from glaciers in the Silvretta Alps. It flows northwesterly through the village of Klosters, the largest and uppermost village in the Prättigau valley. It empties into the Alpine Rhine in the town of Landquart. Length: 38 km (24 mi), drainage basin: 618 km2 (239 sq mi).

Landquart railway station (German: Bahnhof Landquart) is a major railway station in the municipality of Landquart, in the Swiss canton of Grisons. It is an intermediate stop on the Swiss Federal Railways Chur–Rorschach line and the junction of the Landquart–Davos Platz and Landquart–Thusis lines of the Rhaetian Railway. It is served by long-distance, local, and regional trains. There are trains to Zürich and beyond in the north and services to Chur and Disentis/Mustér in the south. In addition, there are connecting services to Klosters, Davos and Scuol in the east. There are currently six tracks in use at the station. Tracks 2, 3 and 4 are served by SBB and tracks 5, 6 and 8 are served by RhB.Landquart station is the start of the Prättigauer Höhenweg, a multi-day hiking trail that leads to Klosters.

The Chur Rhine Valley (German: Churer Rheintal, also commonly known as the Bündner Rheintal) is that part of Nordbünden through which the Rhine flows from the confluence of Anterior and Posterior Rhine near Reichenau to the cantonal border near Maienfeld and Fläsch. The plain of Bonaduz and Rhäzüns also belongs to the Chur Rhine Valley and forms its southern end. The valley is part of the Alpine Rhine natural landscape.

Landquart Ried railway station (German: Bahnhof Landquart Ried) is a railway station in the village of Igis, within the municipality of Landquart, in the Swiss canton of Grisons. It is an intermediate stop on the Rhaetian Railway 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) metre gauge Landquart–Thusis line. The Swiss Federal Railways standard gauge Chur–Rorschach line runs parallel but has no intermediate stops between Chur and Landquart.
