Arden railway station is a railway station In Melbourne, constructed as part of the Metro Tunnel project. When opened, it will be served by the Sunbury, Pakenham and Cranbourne lines. Located in North Melbourne, below Laurens and Arden Streets, it was constructed using the cut-and-cover method. Major construction commenced in April 2018, and was completed in January 2024.The station sits in a major inner-city urban renewal area for Melbourne, and will anchor the new high-density suburb of Arden. A structure plan for the former industrial area was gazetted in 2022.

North Melbourne railway station is the junction station for the Craigieburn, Flemington Racecourse, Sunbury, Upfield, Werribee and Williamstown lines in Victoria, Australia. It serves the north-western Melbourne suburb of West Melbourne, and it opened on 6 October 1859.Located on the northern edge of the Central Business District, the station is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.

Arden Street Oval (also known as North Melbourne Cricket Ground) is a sports oval in North Melbourne, Victoria. It is currently the training base of the North Melbourne Football Club, an Australian rules football club, and up to the end of the 1985 season it was used as the team's home ground for Victorian Football League (VFL) matches.

North Melbourne Locomotive Depot was the main location for maintenance of the Victorian Railways steam locomotive fleet based in Melbourne. Located in the middle of the Melbourne Yard precinct in the suburb West Melbourne near North Melbourne station, the site is now occupied by the Melbourne Steel Terminal. The depot was described by railway employees as "the hub of the universe", "the VR's nearest approach to Dante's Inferno", or "the Black Hole of Calcutta" depending on their disposition.

North Melbourne is an inner suburb of Melbourne, Australia, 3 km north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District. Its local government area is the City of Melbourne. At the 2016 Census, North Melbourne had a population of 14,940.North Melbourne is bounded by the CityLink freeway to the west, Victoria Street to the south, O'Connell and Peel Streets to the east and Flemington Road to the north. Since July 2008 its local government area has been the City of Melbourne, when it took over the administration of parts of Kensington and North Melbourne that were previously under the City of Moonee Valley, resulting in an increase of approximately 4760 residents and almost 3000 workers (2006 Census).Formerly known as Hotham, it was essentially a working class area, with some middle class pockets, and was one of the first towns in Victoria to be granted Municipal status. Today it continues to undergo gentrification, noted for its Victorian architecture, cosmopolitan demographic, commercial and older industrial areas.

North Melbourne was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria from 1859 to 1927. The Electoral District of North Melbourne was defined as being bound by Victoria Street/Parade on the south, Nicholson Street on the east, the southern boundary of portion 90, parish of Jika Jika on the north and a line south from Mains Bridge (now Flemington Bridge) to the Victoria Street alignment by the 1858 Electoral Districts Act. This included the suburbs of Carlton, Parkville and North Melbourne. The district was abolished, along with several others, when the Electoral Districts Act 1926 was implemented in 1927.

The Division of Northern Melbourne was an Australian Electoral Division in the state of Victoria. It was located in the inner northern suburbs of Melbourne, and was named accordingly. It included parts of the suburbs of Carlton, North Melbourne and Fitzroy. At the redistribution of 13 July 1906, it was abolished and replaced by the Division of Batman. The division was held by one member, H. B. Higgins, who was Attorney General from 1904 to 1905. He did not contest Batman at the 1906 election, as he was appointed a Justice of the High Court of Australia in 1906.

The Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral also called Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral Is a religious building of the Catholic Church of Byzantine or Ukrainian rite that is located in the North Melbourne suburb of central Melbourne, the capital city of the state of Victoria in Australia. It should not be confused with the Latin or Roman rite cathedral of Melbourne dedicated to Saint Patrick or with the Syro-Malabar Catholic Cathedral dedicated to St. Alfonsa. The building is the seat of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saint Peter and Paul of Melbourne (Eparchia Sanctorum Petri and Pauli Melburnensis Ucrainorum) which began as an apostolic exarch in 1958 with the bull "Singularem huius" of Pope Pius XII and was raised to its current status in 1982 through the bull "Christum Iesum" of Pope John Paul II. It is under the pastoral responsibility of Bishop Peter Stasiuk.

North Melbourne Town Hall is the former town hall of the Town of Hotham (later renamed North Melbourne) in Victoria, Australia. It is listed in the register of the National Trust (file no. B2388) "The building is of noble proportions, exquisite in design, tastefully ornamented, and reflects the greatest credit on the architect, Mr J.R. (sic) Johnson." North Melbourne Advertiser 23 June 1876. It has been under the jurisdiction of the City of Melbourne since 1905 and is currently used as an "Arts House".It is located on the corner of Errol and Queensberry Streets.

Festival Hall is a heritage listed entertainment venue located at 300 Dudley Street, West Melbourne, Victoria. It is one of Melbourne's larger concert venues and has hosted a variety of local and international acts over many years. In October 2020, Hillsong purchased the Festival Hall venue. It will continue to host entertainment events, in addition to hosting Hillsong Church Melbourne City's weekly church services. The building is set to undergo renovation to better suit the new uses.

Arts House is a centre for contemporary performance and interactive artforms in Melbourne, Australia. Established in 2006, it is a program of the City of Melbourne.It supports and presents a range of experimental theatre, live art, contemporary dance and similar types of performance, by Australian and international artists.Arts House operates at two heritage venues in North Melbourne: the North Melbourne Town Hall and the Meat Market.

The Melbourne Star (previously Southern Star) is a 120 metre tall observation wheel in the suburb of Docklands in Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. Described by its operators as "the Southern Hemisphere's only giant observation wheel", it is 120 m (394 ft) tall and has seven spokes, reflecting the seven-pointed star of the Australian flag.It opened two years behind schedule in December 2008, but closed 40 days later due to structural defects, and was subsequently dismantled for major repairs. The wheel itself was scrapped and replaced, but the original support structure and passenger cabins were retained. It was originally thought that reconstruction might be completed in late 2010, but repeated delays meant it did not reopen until 23 December 2013. A ride (one complete rotation) takes 30 minutes and, according to the Star's website, provides uninterrupted 360-degree views of up to 40 kilometres (25 mi) "encompassing the Docklands precinct, Melbourne’s CBD, Port Phillip Bay and as far as Mount Macedon, Arthurs Seat and the Dandenong Ranges."The Wheel permanently closed on 6 September 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
