Ermine West

Lincoln Castle Academy is a secondary school with academy status located on the north side of the historic city of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. It is situated a couple of miles due north of Lincoln Castle, and just west of the Ermine Street Roman road heading north out of Lincoln towards the Humber estuary.

BGU was established as a teacher training college for the Diocese of Lincoln in 1862. It gained taught degree awarding powers in 2012, applied for full university status, and was granted on 3 December 2012. It has around 2,300 full-time students enrolled on a variety of programmes and courses.

Sobraon Barracks is a military installation in Lincoln, England. It is currently occupied by the 160 (Lincoln) Squadron Royal Logistic Corps and Lincolnshire Army Cadet Force.

Newport is an inner-city suburb and historic district of Lincoln in the county of Lincolnshire, England. It is located to the north of the city centre and is close to the Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral as well as Newport Arch. It is one of the original districts and streets of the city itself. It dates back to around 1269 following the arrival of the Augustinians who built a priory in the area between Newport and Rasen Lane. In about 1839, George Gilbert Scott and partner William Bonython Moffatt designed the church of St Nicholas in Newport. The church is a Grade II listed building.

The museum collection is a varied social history that reflects and celebrates the culture of the county of Lincolnshire and its people from 1750 to the present day. Exhibits illustrate commercial, domestic, agricultural, industrial and community life. The story of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment and Lincolnshire Yeomanry is explained and illustrated by a variety of methods.

St John the Baptist is a Church of England parish church on the Ermine Estate in the city of Lincoln, England. Designed by Sam Scorer and consecrated in 1963, it is a Grade II* listed building.

Newport Arch is a 3rd-century Roman gate in the city of Lincoln, Lincolnshire. It is a Scheduled monument and Grade I listed building and is reputedly the oldest arch in the United Kingdom still used by traffic.
