Rangel is one of the six urban districts that make up the municipality of Luanda, in the province of Luanda, the capital of Angola. The Rangel District is one of the older and more urbanized in Metropolitan Luanda. The district has an area of 6.2 square kilometers. The district is best known as the home of Americo Boavida University Hospital as well as several large sporting facilities including Pavilhão da Cidadela, Pavilhão Anexo and Pavilhão Anexo II.

Estádio da Cidadela is a stadium in Luanda, Angola. It is used mostly for football matches, while sometimes hosting cultural events, including musical concerts. It is part of the Complexo Desportivo da Cidadela, along with the Pavilhão da Cidadela, Pavilhão Anexo and Pavilhão Anexo II. While originally holding 60,000 people, in 2006, the stadium's upper ring has been declared unsafe by the CAF and banned for public use. Therefore, the capacity currently holds 40,000 spectators Until Angola's independence in November 1975, the stadium has been owned by Futebol Clube de Luanda, one of the most traditional and historical clubs in Luanda. Shortly after, it has been nationalised for the purpose of general government use. The stadium is often referred to as the cathedral of Angolan sports as over the years, it has witnessed some of the most important events in Angolan sports. Among other events, it has hosted the 2nd Central African Games, for which it was re-inaugurated on December 10, 1981. The stadium is also considered to be special to the Angola national football team and especially for Angolan football hero Akwá. From 2010 however, it has been overshadowed by the newer, modern Estádio 11 de Novembro. At present, the stadium is being used by Girabola clubs Progresso do Sambizanga and ASA as their home ground.

The Pavilhão Anexo II is an Angolan state-owned indoor arena located in Complexo Desportivo da Cidadela, Luanda. The arena, with a 1500-seat capacity, is the third to be built in the Cidadela Sports Compound, following the Pavilhão da Cidadela and the Pavilhão Anexo .It has a floating, hardwood flooring and is ready for such sports as Basketball, Handball, Volleyball and Roller Hockey.

Pavilhão da Cidadela is an Angolan indoor sporting arena located in Luanda, Angola. The capacity of the arena is 6,873 people. It is used to host the Atlético Petróleos Luanda and formerly of the Angola national basketball team before the appearance of Pavilhão Multiusos do Kilamba.

Atlético Petróleos de Luanda, commonly known as Petro de Luanda, is an Angolan basketball club based in Luanda. It competes at the local level, at the Luanda Provincial Basketball Championship and at the Angola National Basketball Championship. Additionally, the club plays at the continental level, at the Basketball Africa League (BAL), which they have won in 2024. Established in 1976, the team is part of a multi-sports club which includes a football and handball team as well. Petro has been one of the most successful teams in Angola, having won the second most Angolan championships with 16 titles, trailing only Primeiro de Agosto, and sharing the record for most Angolan Cups with 14 cups. The team has won three continental titles as well, having won the FIBA African Champions Cup in 2006 and 2015, and the BAL in 2024.

The National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) is an Angolan government agency responsible for promoting the peaceful use of space and conducting technical space studies. GGPEN was established through the Angola Presidential Decree 154/13, page 2673. The agency's mission is to conduct strategic studies aimed at establishing cooperation agreements with technical and scientific institutions in the space domain and ensuring the creation of national technological and human competencies and the transfer of technology and know-how within the scope of the National Space Program. The Angola National Space Strategy plan for 2016-2025 was approved by the presidential decree n. º 85/17, 10 of May, the strategy is based in the following 5 main pillars: Development of space and ground segment Human capacity building programs Creation and growth of the Angolan space industry International affirmation Space policy

Escola Portuguesa de Luanda (EPL) is a Portuguese-language international school in Luanda, Angola. It serves grades one through 12.

Avenida Comandante Valódia also known as Bairro dos Combatentes is a residential area neighborhood in Luanda's central municipality of Sambizanga in Luanda province of Angola, and is centered on a busy interchange. It has a length of 1.61 km ² and about 144,000 inhabitants and is split in both ways, it is bordered to the west by Kinaxixi, on the north by Marçal, in the east by São Paulo, and south by Avenida Brasil. It has the following coordinates: Latitude: -8°49'5.88" and Longitude: 13°14'51.36. The neighborhood is known for its office and residential buildings, and is also home to the famous Hotel Tròpico, the renowned 147 public school and the now defunct Feira Ngoma.

Estádio França Ndalu is an Angolan football stadium built and owned by Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto and will be the venue for the club's home games in all events that it takes part of. The stadium is named after Gen. António França, nicknamed "Ndalu" who was a key figure in the club's foundation in 1977. The 20,000-seat stadium is located in the Cassequel neighborhood, Maianga district, Luanda, Angola. The stadium is only the second private-owned stadium in Luanda, following Interclube's 22 de Junho as the remaining teams based in the capital play in the state-owned 11 de Novembro and Coqueiros.

The National Library of Angola (Portuguese: Biblioteca Nacional de Angola) is located in Luanda.

The Embassy of Sweden in Luanda was Sweden's diplomatic mission in Angola. The first Swedish ambassador was accredited to Luanda in 1976. The ambassador was also accredited to São Tomé. The embassy mainly focused on Sweden and trade promotion activities. The embassy closed in November 2022 following a decision by Sweden's government. The Swedish ambassador is from 1 December 2022 based in Stockholm, Sweden.
