Milliken GO Station is a GO Transit train station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the neighbourhood of Milliken which is on the city's northern border with Markham.

Splendid China Mall (traditional Chinese: 錦繡中華; simplified Chinese: 锦绣中华) (formerly known as Splendid China Tower) is a 90,000-square-foot (8,400 m2) Chinese-themed ethnic shopping centre located at the southeast corner of Redlea Avenue and Steeles Avenue in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is on the Scarborough side of Steeles Avenue (the other side is in Markham, Ontario). It is located adjacent to Milliken GO Station and across from the Pacific Mall along with the now closed Market Village. The structure was formerly occupied by Canadian Tire.

Market Village was a 325,000-square-foot (30,200 m2) shopping mall in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 1990 and expanded in 1995, the mall closed on March 1, 2018.

Remington Centre (Chinese: 滙通廣場) is an upcoming 800,000-square-foot (74,000 m2) Chinese-themed mall to be built at the corner of Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue in Markham, Ontario, Canada, on the site of the former Market Village mall which closed on March 1, 2018. It will be connected to Pacific Mall by an indoor walkway. Market Village was scheduled for demolition and construction of the new mall which should have begun in the third quarter of 2013, but demolition began in October 2018. The new mall will have a contemporary design and unique features, including light-filled hallways, indoor and outdoor public spaces and signature night market.In 2009, plans were developed to demolish Market Village and replace it with a larger and modern complex called the Remington Centre. It will feature a two level structure with over 800,000 square feet (74,000 m2) of retail and commercial space and two condo towers (billed at The Grand Residences at Remington Centre) located on the southeast end. The Remington Centre will aim for LEED status along with the installation of 1100 tonnes of geothermal capacity. It is currently unknown when the mall will be constructed and completed due to several delays.

Pacific Mall is an Asian shopping mall in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest indoor Asian shopping mall in North America and has been reported as the largest Asian shopping mall in the Western world. The mall is located on the northeast corner of Steeles Avenue and Kennedy Road, along the city limits with Toronto. Opened in the mid-1990s amid a period of significant Chinese immigration to Canada, the mall operates as a condominium corporation with 450 individual units. The mall also includes Heritage Town, a food court and market that functions as a notable tourist destination in the Greater Toronto Area. The Remington Centre, a proposed shopping mall first announced in 2005, would occupy the site formerly held by Market Village, a now-defunct mall adjacent to Pacific Mall. The expansion would see the construction of a structure that would bring the combined size of the malls to 1,000,000 square feet (90,000 m2), though the project has faced numerous delays. Pacific Mall is further noted as a location for the sale of counterfeit goods; stores in Pacific Mall have been raided multiple times by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and in 2018 the mall was listed as a notorious market by the Office of the United States Trade Representative.

Milliken and Milliken Mills are neighbourhoods in the cities of Toronto and Markham. Milliken is situated in the north west section of Scarborough, whereas Milliken Mills is situated in the south-central portions of Markham. The neighbourhoods are centered on Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue, the latter street serving as the boundary between the cities of Markham and Toronto. A large percentage of residents own their homes, which are primarily single family detached homes. As the majority of the homes present were built when the farming left the area in the 1980s, there are many two storied houses with garages, typical of the time of building and affordability.

Dr. Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute (also known as Bethune, BCI, or Dr. Norman Bethune CI) is a high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the Steeles neighbourhood of the former suburb of Scarborough. It was founded in 1979 and named after Norman Bethune, a Canadian doctor and communist who served under the Eighth Route Army. The school is attended by over 1000 students, most of whom speak a primary language other than English, the language of instruction. Bethune is also partners with the neighbouring senior's homes: Mon Sheong and Tendercare, and with Beijing#15 High School in Beijing, People's Republic of China.

Finch–Kennedy GO Station (also referred to as Finch East) is a planned commuter train station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It will be an infill station on the Stouffville line of GO Transit in Scarborough, between Milliken GO and Agincourt GO. The station is one of five GO stations to be built as part of the SmartTrack Stations Program to adapt regional commuter service for urban public transit. Construction will start in 2022 for completion in 2026.A grade separation will be built prior to the construction of the station. The station will be located between Midland Avenue and Milliken Boulevard, and the station's main building on the north side of Finch Avenue East, on the east side of the railway right-of-way. The station will have two side platforms with canopies and heated shelters. From a new signalized intersection at Baylawn Drive and Finch Avenue, a new access road will provide vehicular access to the main station building where an accessible pedestrian pickup/drop-off area and bicycle parking will be located. Finch Avenue will be widened to six lanes under the railway bridge. The two curb lanes will be for buses only, able to accommodate three articulated buses in each direction. Bus riders from either direction can access either station platform via four access points below the railway bridge, each access point having stairs and an elevator. In addition to the six lanes, there will be pedestrian sidewalks and bicycle lanes under the bridge. L'Amoreaux Collegiate Institute (or L'Am for short) is a public high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the L'Amoreaux neighbourhood of the former suburb of Scarborough. Originally part of the Scarborough Board of Education, it is now consolidated into the Toronto District School Board. Founded in 1973, L'Amoreaux has an extended French program, and over three quarters of the students do not use English as their primary language. In 2020 the school had an enrollment of 439 representing 46% of its 957 total capacity. The motto of the school is "Freedom with Responsibility".

It covers the area of the City of Toronto bounded by Steeles Avenue East to the north, Highway 401 to the south, Victoria Park Avenue to the west, and Midland Avenue to the east.

Scarborough—Agincourt is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada that has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1987. The riding covers the northwest of the Scarborough part of Toronto. It is bounded on the west by Victoria Park Avenue, on the north by the Toronto city limits (Steeles Avenue East), on the east by Midland Avenue, and on the south by Highway 401. It contains the neighbourhoods of Steeles, L'Amoreaux, Tam O'Shanter-Sullivan, Agincourt (west of Midland Avenue) and Milliken (west of Midland Avenue).
