Finch–Kennedy GO Station (also referred to as Finch East) is a planned commuter train station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It will be an infill station on the Stouffville line of GO Transit in Scarborough, between Milliken GO and Agincourt GO. The station is one of five GO stations to be built as part of the SmartTrack Stations Program to adapt regional commuter service for urban public transit. Construction will start in 2022 for completion in 2026.A grade separation will be built prior to the construction of the station. The station will be located between Midland Avenue and Milliken Boulevard, and the station's main building on the north side of Finch Avenue East, on the east side of the railway right-of-way. The station will have two side platforms with canopies and heated shelters. From a new signalized intersection at Baylawn Drive and Finch Avenue, a new access road will provide vehicular access to the main station building where an accessible pedestrian pickup/drop-off area and bicycle parking will be located. Finch Avenue will be widened to six lanes under the railway bridge. The two curb lanes will be for buses only, able to accommodate three articulated buses in each direction. Bus riders from either direction can access either station platform via four access points below the railway bridge, each access point having stairs and an elevator. In addition to the six lanes, there will be pedestrian sidewalks and bicycle lanes under the bridge. The station will have a service building on the west side of the tracks opposite the main station building.The following TTC bus routes are expected to serve the new station: 39 Finch East 339 Finch East Night Bus 939 Finch Express 57 Midland

Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School (abbreviated Mary Ward C.S.S., MWCSS, MW, Mary Ward, or simply Ward) is a Catholic secondary school in Toronto Ontario, Canada. It is administered by the Toronto Catholic District School Board, formerly the Metropolitan Separate School Board. Mary Ward is a centre of self-directed learning and a member of the Canadian Coalition of Self-Directed Learning. It is one of only two self-directed learning schools currently in Ontario and seven in Canada. The school was founded in 1985 as a conventional high school between two campuses in northeast Toronto until it moved into a new building at Kennedy Rd. and McNicoll Ave., designed specifically for its self-directed learning program (formerly called Direction 2000) in January 1992. The school is named after Mary Ward, a seventeenth-century English Catholic nun who founded the Sisters of Loreto.

Milliken and Milliken Mills are neighbourhoods in the cities of Toronto and Markham. Milliken is situated in the north west section of Scarborough, whereas Milliken Mills is situated in the south-central portions of Markham. The neighbourhoods are centered on Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue, the latter street serving as the boundary between the cities of Markham and Toronto. A large percentage of residents own their homes, which are primarily single family detached homes. As the majority of the homes present were built when the farming left the area in the 1980s, there are many two storied houses with garages, typical of the time of building and affordability.

Splendid China Mall (traditional Chinese: 錦繡中華; simplified Chinese: 锦绣中华) (formerly known as Splendid China Tower) is a 90,000-square-foot (8,400 m2) Chinese-themed ethnic shopping centre located at the southeast corner of Redlea Avenue and Steeles Avenue in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is on the Scarborough side of Steeles Avenue (the other side is in Markham, Ontario). It is located adjacent to Milliken GO Station and across from the Pacific Mall along with the now closed Market Village. The structure was formerly occupied by Canadian Tire.

Charles O. Bick College was a police college operated by the Training and Education unit of the Toronto Police Service to train various levels of police from new recruits to senior managers. The facility was accredited by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services to design and deliver specialized police courses. The facility was opened in 1977 and was located at 4620 Finch Avenue East in Scarborough and consisted of 14 classrooms, 2 computer labs, a range, pool and gymnasium. The college was made up of the following sections: Human Relations, Investigative Training, Officer Safety, Recruit Training, Police Vehicle Operations, Traffic and Provincial Statutes, Tactical Training - Firearms. The college was named after Judge Charles O. Bick, founding chairman of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Commission. The facility closed in July 2009, and was replaced by the new Toronto Police College located at 70 Birmingham Street in southern Etobicoke.The 75830 square feet building sits on 2.33 arces lot. The building was last used by a private school, Ontario International College, for a brief period after the police vacated the premises. Build Toronto is in the process of disposing of the property via sale.

Market Village was a 325,000-square-foot (30,200 m2) shopping mall in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 1990 and expanded in 1995, the mall closed on March 1, 2018.

Remington Centre (Chinese: 滙通廣場) is an upcoming 800,000-square-foot (74,000 m2) Chinese-themed mall to be built at the corner of Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue in Markham, Ontario, Canada, on the site of the former Market Village mall which closed on March 1, 2018. It will be connected to Pacific Mall by an indoor walkway. Market Village was scheduled for demolition and construction of the new mall which should have begun in the third quarter of 2013, but demolition began in October 2018. The new mall will have a contemporary design and unique features, including light-filled hallways, indoor and outdoor public spaces and signature night market.In 2009, plans were developed to demolish Market Village and replace it with a larger and modern complex called the Remington Centre. It will feature a two level structure with over 800,000 square feet (74,000 m2) of retail and commercial space and two condo towers (billed at The Grand Residences at Remington Centre) located on the southeast end. The Remington Centre will aim for LEED status along with the installation of 1100 tonnes of geothermal capacity. It is currently unknown when the mall will be constructed and completed due to several delays.

Francis Libermann Catholic High School (alternatively known as Francis Libermann CHS, Libermann High, FLCHS, FL, Francis Libermann, or Libermann) is a Catholic secondary school (as of 2003, an elementary school as well) located in the Agincourt neighbourhood of Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and part of the Toronto Catholic District School Board, formerly the Metropolitan Separate School Board. The school is named after the priest Francis Libermann, a French Jewish convert to Roman Catholicism in the 19th century and the "Second Founder" of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit. It was originally founded in 1977 as a semi-private school and became a public separate school since 1986. Libermann is enrolled with 927 students as of 2018-19 and ranked 148 of 738 schools in Fraser Institute Report Card. The motto is "Inter Mutanda Constantia" (Steadfast in the midst of Change)

Sir William Osler High School (SWOHS), formerly Sir William Osler Vocational school is a small specialized public vocational high school in Scarborough, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, opened in 1975, named after Sir William Osler, a Canadian doctor and medical educator.

Albert Campbell Collegiate Institute (Albert Campbell CI, ACCI or Campbell), initially intended to be known as Sir William Osler Collegiate Institute is a Toronto public high school in the district of Scarborough. The school was opened in 1976 by the Scarborough Board of Education. The school has a full range of programs and extra-curricular activities to provide all students with the Albert Campbell Experience: Academics, Community and Engagement. It is named after former Scarborough politician and mayor Albert McTaggart Campbell.

CJVF-FM was a multilingual/ethnic radio station which broadcast at 102.7 MHz in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Owned locally by Subanasiri Vaithilingam, the station broadcast with an effective radiated power of 6.5 watts (non-directional antenna with an effective height of antenna above average terrain of 63.4 metres), with a transmitter located on top of an apartment building near Woodside Square at Finch and McCowan in Scarborough, and studios also located in Scarborough.The license to the station was granted by the CRTC on December 7, 2011, with the stipulation that its programming consist of 60% Tamil, 20% Punjabi, 10% Filipino, and 10% English language programming.The radio station commenced broadcasting in March 2012 on 105.9 FM, though broadcasting exclusively in Tamil. The radio station was the first all-Tamil broadcaster in North America. On November 7, 2012, Vaithilingam submitted an application to the CRTC to change CJVF-FM's frequency from 105.9 FM to 102.7 FM. The change was required due to the sign on of neighbouring CFMS-FM in Markham, also located on 105.9 FM. The CRTC granted approval on January 30, 2014. On December 18, 2014, Vaithilingam applied to move CJVF-FM again, this time from 102.7 MHz to 105.3 MHz (due to a new station sign on), as well as seeking a power increase from 7 to 24 watts (38 watts Max. ERP), raising antenna height, relocate the transmitter and changing radiation pattern from non-directional to directional. During this time, the station suffered from poor management, lack of funds and failure to pay their workers for months. Because of this, numerous petitions were filed against the station. The application was denied by the CRTC on March 16, 2016, and resulted in the complete shutdown of the station.
