L'Amoreaux Collegiate Institute (or L'Am for short) is a public high school in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the L'Amoreaux neighbourhood of the former suburb of Scarborough. Originally part of the Scarborough Board of Education, it is now consolidated into the Toronto District School Board. Founded in 1973, L'Amoreaux has an extended French program, and over three quarters of the students do not use English as their primary language. In 2020 the school had an enrollment of 439 representing 46% of its 957 total capacity. The motto of the school is "Freedom with Responsibility".

Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School (abbreviated Mary Ward C.S.S., MWCSS, MW, Mary Ward, or simply Ward) is a Catholic secondary school in Toronto Ontario, Canada. It is administered by the Toronto Catholic District School Board, formerly the Metropolitan Separate School Board. Mary Ward is a centre of self-directed learning and a member of the Canadian Coalition of Self-Directed Learning. It is one of only two self-directed learning schools currently in Ontario and seven in Canada. The school was founded in 1985 as a conventional high school between two campuses in northeast Toronto until it moved into a new building at Kennedy Rd. and McNicoll Ave., designed specifically for its self-directed learning program (formerly called Direction 2000) in January 1992. The school is named after Mary Ward, a seventeenth-century English Catholic nun who founded the Sisters of Loreto.

IBM Canada's head offices are currently located in Markham, Ontario and have been there since the early 1980s. The current building IBM occupies is located at 3600 Steeles Avenue East and was completed in 1995. IBM Canada's previous head office was located across the street at 3500 Steeles Avenue East (now Liberty Centre, Markham). The building rises from four floors on the west to seven floors at the east side. There is an underground ramp that is accessible from the left-most lane on east-bound Steeles Avenue that provides access to the building's parking area at the rear.

L'Amoreaux is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, situated east of Victoria Park Avenue, south of McNicoll Avenue, west of Kennedy Road and north of Huntingwood Drive. L'Amoreaux is named after Josue L'Amoreaux (1738–1834), a French Huguenot loyalist who settled in the area. Prior to the amalgamation of Toronto in 1998, L'Amoreaux was a neighbourhood of the former city of Scarborough, and prior to the amalgamation of municipalities, it formed part of the town of Agincourt.

It contains the neighbourhoods of Steeles, L'Amoreaux, Tam O'Shanter-Sullivan, Agincourt (west of Midland Avenue) and Milliken (west of Midland Avenue).

Pacific Mall is an Asian shopping mall in Markham, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest indoor Asian shopping mall in North America and has been reported as the largest Asian shopping mall in the Western world. The mall is located on the northeast corner of Steeles Avenue and Kennedy Road, along the city limits with Toronto. Opened in the mid-1990s amid a period of significant Chinese immigration to Canada, the mall operates as a condominium corporation with 450 individual units. The mall also includes Heritage Town, a food court and market that functions as a notable tourist destination in the Greater Toronto Area. The Remington Centre, a proposed shopping mall first announced in 2005, would occupy the site formerly held by Market Village, a now-defunct mall adjacent to Pacific Mall. The expansion would see the construction of a structure that would bring the combined size of the malls to 1,000,000 square feet (90,000 m2), though the project has faced numerous delays. Pacific Mall is further noted as a location for the sale of counterfeit goods; stores in Pacific Mall have been raided multiple times by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and in 2018 the mall was listed as a notorious market by the Office of the United States Trade Representative.

Timothy Eaton Business and Technical Institute, formerly Timothy Eaton Secondary School is a defunct high school in the L'Amoreaux area in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada originally operated by the Scarborough Board of Education. The school was named after Timothy Eaton, the founder of the now-defunct Eaton's department store chain. The site is now a residential development called Eaton on the Park Townhomes.

Splendid China Mall (traditional Chinese: 錦繡中華; simplified Chinese: 锦绣中华) (formerly known as Splendid China Tower) is a 90,000-square-foot (8,400 m2) Chinese-themed ethnic shopping centre located at the southeast corner of Redlea Avenue and Steeles Avenue in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is on the Scarborough side of Steeles Avenue (the other side is in Markham, Ontario). It is located adjacent to Milliken GO Station and across from the Pacific Mall along with the now closed Market Village. The structure was formerly occupied by Canadian Tire.

Market Village was a 325,000-square-foot (30,200 m2) shopping mall in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 1990 and expanded in 1995, the mall closed on March 1, 2018.
