Bolivar ( BOL-i-vər) is an unincorporated community in northern Denton County, Texas, United States. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 40 in 2000. It is located within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Sanger is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States. Its population was 6,916 at the 2010 census, and 8,839 at the 2020 census.

Krum is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States. The population was 4,157 at the 2010 census, more than doubling its 2000 census population of 1,984. By 2020, its population was 5,483.

Krum High School is a public high school located in the city of Krum, Texas, USA and classified as a 4A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Krum Independent School District located in west central Denton County. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.In addition to Krum, the school's boundary includes a portion of Denton.

Lane Field (FAA LID: 58F) is a privately owned, public use airport located two nautical miles (4 km) east of the central business district of Sanger, in Denton County, Texas, United States. The airport is used solely for general aviation purposes.

KTCK-FM (96.7 MHz, "The Ticket") is a commercial radio station licensed to Flower Mound, Texas, and serving the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It simulcasts a sports radio format, along with sister station KTCK 1310 AM. KTCK-AM-FM are owned by Cumulus Media with studios on East Lamar Boulevard in Arlington. Weekdays feature local Dallas-based sports shows, while Fox Sports Radio is heard late nights and weekends. KTCK-AM-FM are the flagship stations for the Dallas Stars Radio Network. KTCK-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 90,000 watts. The transmitter is on Farm to Market Road in Rosston, Texas, about 35 miles northwest of Dallas. The signal extends into Oklahoma but may be hard to hear in some southern suburbs of Dallas and Fort Worth.

KNTU (88.1 FM) is the campus radio station of the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. The signal of the station covers much of the Dallas and Fort Worth Metroplex of North Texas with an alternative rock format. KNTU also produces the UNT football and men's basketball broadcast feeds for the Mean Green Sports Network, a radio property of Learfield, but no longer airs the games on 88.1 FM. UNT women's basketball will move to streaming only on Learfield's Varsity App beginning with the 2022-23 season.

The University of North Texas Discovery Park Campus, formerly Research Park, is a satellite research facility of the University of North Texas. Discovery Park is located in Denton, Texas, north of the main campus, on U.S. Highway 77. In January 2004, the 550,000-square-foot (51,000 m2) facility, formerly occupied by Texas Instruments, opened to students from the UNT College of Engineering. In 2008, the newly formed College of Information joined the Discovery Park campus. The facility houses offices and labs for the Departments of Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Information Science, Learning Technologies, and Linguistics. The Center for Technology Development and Transfer (CTDT) began operations from Discovery Park in 2006. The University of North Texas Discovery Park Library serves the Discovery Park Campus as a satellite branch of the UNT Library system. Cross country running meets are held at the facility.The Discovery Park Campus is located at 3940 North Elm Street, Denton, TX 76207.

The Selwyn College Preparatory School is a school in Denton, Texas. On January 21, 2012 the school's main building along with the kindergarten-5th grade classroom building burnt to the ground.Selwyn will relocate to Argyle, Texas.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton (formerly Denton Community Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital of Denton) is a hospital in North Texas and southern Oklahoma. With over 890 employees and a medical staff of more than 300, the 272,538-square-foot (25,319.6 m2) hospital is licensed for 255 beds, and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).

Denton High School is a public high school located in the city of Denton, Texas and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Denton Independent School District located in central Denton County and was the original high school for Denton. Denton High School was established in 1884. In 1910 it moved to what is now Calhoun Middle School. In 1957 it moved again to Fulton Street. In the 1990s, DHS yielded grades 10–12 to the newly opened Ryan High School until 1995. In 2022, it was moved northwest to its current location on Bronco Way. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.After voters approved a May 2018 Capital Improvement Plan, Denton ISD purchased land to rebuild Denton High School at a new location and expand the school land size from 35 acres to 150 acres. The site is located north of Windsor Drive, west of North Bonnie Brae Street and south of North Elm Street (U.S. Hwy 77) near the University of North Texas Discovery Park and less than 1.5 miles from the current Denton High location at 1007 Fulton Street.

CH Collins Stadium is a 12,000-capacity multi-use stadium in Denton, Texas. The stadium is used mostly for high school football and soccer. In the offseason of 2013, the field was upgraded with new artificial turf.
