Krum High School

Krum is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States. The population was 4,157 at the 2010 census, more than doubling its 2000 census population of 1,984. By 2020, its population was 5,483.

The Selwyn College Preparatory School is a school in Denton, Texas. On January 21, 2012 the school's main building along with the kindergarten-5th grade classroom building burnt to the ground.Selwyn will relocate to Argyle, Texas.

Ironhead Airport (FAA LID: T58) is a public airport located three miles (4.8 km) southwest of the central business district (CBD) of Sanger, in Denton County, Texas, United States. The airport is used solely for general aviation purposes. It is not an army operated or controlled base. Civil forces have used it before, but they asked permission from the owners. The airport is a grass strip and is closed at dawn and dusk. It is also closed when it is too wet to take off or land.

KTCK-FM (96.7 MHz, "The Ticket") is a commercial radio station licensed to Flower Mound, Texas, and serving the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It simulcasts a sports radio format, along with sister station KTCK 1310 AM. KTCK-AM-FM are owned by Cumulus Media with studios on East Lamar Boulevard in Arlington. Weekdays feature local Dallas-based sports shows, while Fox Sports Radio is heard late nights and weekends. KTCK-AM-FM are the flagship stations for the Dallas Stars Radio Network. KTCK-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 90,000 watts. The transmitter is on Farm to Market Road in Rosston, Texas, about 35 miles northwest of Dallas. The signal extends into Oklahoma but may be hard to hear in some southern suburbs of Dallas and Fort Worth.

The University of North Texas Discovery Park Campus, formerly Research Park, is a satellite research facility of the University of North Texas. Discovery Park is located in Denton, Texas, north of the main campus, on U.S. Highway 77. In January 2004, the 550,000-square-foot (51,000 m2) facility, formerly occupied by Texas Instruments, opened to students from the UNT College of Engineering. In 2008, the newly formed College of Information joined the Discovery Park campus. The facility houses offices and labs for the Departments of Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Information Science, Learning Technologies, and Linguistics. The Center for Technology Development and Transfer (CTDT) began operations from Discovery Park in 2006. The University of North Texas Discovery Park Library serves the Discovery Park Campus as a satellite branch of the UNT Library system. With over 890 employees and a medical staff of more than 300, the 272,538-square-foot (25,319.6 m2) hospital is licensed for 255 beds, and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).

Fouts Field was a stadium at the University of North Texas, located in Denton, Texas. Its primary use from its opening in 1952 until 2010 was as the home field for North Texas Mean Green football. Over its 59-year history, Fouts Field was the college home of players such as Joe Greene, Abner Haynes, Steve Ramsey, and Steve Anderson, who would later gain worldwide fame as pro wrestler Steve Austin.

Denton High School is a public high school located in the city of Denton, Texas and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Denton Independent School District located in central Denton County and was the original high school for Denton. Denton High School was established in 1884. In 1910 it moved to what is now Calhoun Middle School. In 1957 it moved again to Fulton Street. In the 1990s, DHS yielded grades 10–12 to the newly opened Ryan High School until 1995. In 2022, it was moved northwest to its current location on Bronco Way. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.After voters approved a May 2018 Capital Improvement Plan, Denton ISD purchased land to rebuild Denton High School at a new location and expand the school land size from 35 acres to 150 acres. The site is located north of Windsor Drive, west of North Bonnie Brae Street and south of North Elm Street (U.S. Hwy 77) near the University of North Texas Discovery Park and less than 1.5 miles from the current Denton High location at 1007 Fulton Street.

DATCU Stadium (formerly Apogee Stadium) is a college football stadium located at the north junction of Interstate 35E and Interstate 35W in Denton, Texas. Opened in 2011, it is home to the University of North Texas (UNT) Mean Green football team, which competes in the American Athletic Conference. The facility replaced Fouts Field, where the school's football program had been based since 1952. The stadium was proposed by the University of North Texas System Board of Regents after the 2002 New Orleans Bowl. Designed by HKS, Inc., it was constructed at a cost of $78 million after a student body election in 2008. It was tentatively named "Mean Green Stadium" prior to ResNet provider Apogee purchasing the naming rights in 2011. DATCU Credit Union (DATCU. formerly Denton Area Teachers Credit Union) subsequently purchased naming rights to the facility prior to the 2023 season. The stadium hosted its first major event on September 10, 2011 when the Mean Green lost 48–23 against the University of Houston Cougars. Official home attendance figures for the team's first six seasons at DATCU Stadium averaged 18,563 per game, which is 60% of its capacity of 30,850. The facility includes various amenities, including a press box, luxury boxes, and an alumni pavilion. It also uses environmental technology; it is the first newly built stadium to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification. It can be reached by road, but because of limited parking and traffic congestion on game days, many attendees park on the northeast side of Interstate 35E and cross a pedestrian bridge to reach the stadium. Others use public transportation to reach the facility on game days.

The Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science (TAMS) is a two-year residential early entrance college program serving approximately 375 high school juniors and seniors at the University of North Texas. Students are admitted from every region of the state through a selective admissions process. TAMS is a member of the National Consortium for Specialized Secondary Schools of Mathematics, Science and Technology.

The UNT Coliseum is a 9,797-seat multi-purpose arena located in Denton, Texas, United States, built in 1973. While the arena's formal name is the UNT Coliseum, the building is more commonly referred to as the Super Pit, a nickname derived from its proximity to the former home of the Mean Green basketball teams, the Ken Bahnsen Gym, nicknamed the Snake Pit. Most signage inside the stadium uses the Super Pit name; the most prominent usage of the UNT Coliseum name is above a single new set of ticket windows added during 2017 renovations.

The Mean Green Village is a collection of athletic facilities in Denton, Texas. It is located on the opposite side of Interstate 35 in Texas from the University of North Texas campus at the intersection of Interstate 35 East and West. Since 2002, several buildings have been completed, including athletic department offices, softball and soccer fields, a running track, and a tennis complex. Apogee Stadium, UNT's new football stadium, is located in the Mean Green Village. The stadium seats 30,850 fans and has 24 luxury boxes. It is the nation's first newly built platinum-certified Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design stadium.
