Gumyō-ji

Gumyōji Station (弘明寺駅, Gumyōji-eki) is a passenger railway station located in Minami-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway company operated by the Keikyū. Note that Gumyōji Station of the Yokohama Municipal Subway is located about 500 m away, on the other side of the Gumyōji Kannon Shopping Street (弘明寺かんのん通り商店街).

Gumyōji (弘明寺町, Gumyōji-chō) is a neighborhood located in Minami-ku in the city of Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. In reference to the Keikyu Line, it is between Kami-Ōoka and Idogaya Stations. Within Gumyōji is the temple, Gumyō-ji, from which it gets its name. Also located within Gumyōji are the Ōoka Harappa park, Minami Library, Miurayu Onsen, the Kannon Dōri Shopping Street, Minami Police Station, the Open University of Japan, and the Uny store.

Kanagawa Prefectural College of Foreign Studies (神奈川県立外語短期大学, Kanagawa kenritsu gaigo tanki daigaku) was a prefectural junior college in Isogo-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, established in 1968. It closed in 2011. The school specialized in teaching English, Chinese, French and Spanish languages.

Idogaya Station (井土ヶ谷駅, Idogaya-eki) is a passenger railway station located in Minami-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway company Keikyū.

Aoyama Gakuin Yokohama Eiwa High School (青山学院横浜英和中学高等学校) is a coeducational senior high school in Maita-chō (蒔田町), Minami-ku, Yokohama, Japan.Missionary Harriet G. Brittan established Yokohama Eiwa Girls' School in 1880, which moved to where it is now in 1916, during the principalship of American missionary Olive Ireland Hodges. In 1939 the name changed to Seibi Gakuen due to the political climate of the time. The former name was restored in 1996, then was modified to the current name after it began partnering with Aoyama Gakuin. It began admitting boys in 2018.

Minami-ku (南区) is one of the 18 wards of the city of Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of 2010, the ward had an estimated population of 197,019 and a density of 15,550 persons per km². The total area was 12.67 km².
