Tamansari, Bogor

Ciomas is a kecamatan in Bogor Regency, West Java, Indonesia. It is located near the provincial border with Banten, about 21 kilometers southwest of the regency capital Cibinong, and 3 kilometers west of the city center of Bogor. It borders Bogor Barat in the north, Bogor Selatan in the east, Tamansari in the south, and Dramaga in the west. In 2021, Ciomas has a total population of 172,336.

South Bogor (Indonesian: Bogor Selatan, Sundanese: ᮘᮧᮌᮧᮁ ᮊᮤᮓᮥᮜ᮪ (Bogor Kulon)) is one of the six districts (kecamatan) in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. The district covers an area of 30.50 km2, and had a population of 216,501 at the 2022 Census. Administratively it is divided into sixteen administrative villages (kelurahan).

Bogor Zoology Museum is a museum located to the next of the main entrance of the Bogor Botanical Gardens in the city of Bogor, Indonesia. The museum and its laboratory were founded in 1894 by government of Dutch East Indies during the colonial era. It contain one of the largest collection of preserved fauna specimens in Southeast Asia.

Paledang is one of the areas in Central Bogor District, Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. It encompasses the Bogor Botanical Gardens and Istana, plus a bustling urban area to the west between the Gardens and the river. Bogor Paledang railway station serves the Bogor-Sukabumi route. Because Paledang includes a busy area along the west boundary of the Bogor Botanical Garden and Istana, it has been proposed that this could act as a "buffer zone" between the Botanical Garden and the rest of the city of Bogor.The area includes shops, businesses, offices and several places of worship including the Roman Catholic Cathedral (BMV Katedral Bogor), the Batak Christian Protestant Church (Gereja HKBP Paledang Bogor) and several mosques including the Masjid At-Taufiq.An innovative education programme was introduced in the Lembaga Pemasyrakatan (prison) in Paledang to address the economic and health problems that prisoners face after release, due to poverty and unemployment because of prejudice. The programme teaches about personal and family health, and tackles the inaccessibility of expensive medicines by encouraging the use of medicinal plants that can be grown at home in pots.

Bogor Paledang Station (BOP) is a railway station located in the city of Bogor, West Java. The station is located in the altitude of +246 meter above sea level. It opened in 2013 to cut down human traffic in Bogor station which now serves commuter trains, KRL Commuterline. This station only serves intercity train to Sukabumi. In October 2014, the station was expanded because the existing waiting room was insufficient for the passengers and the parking area was too small. As part of double tracking project and preparatory works for electrification towards Sukabumi, the station was upgraded from a simple halt into a full fledged station separate from Bogor station's signalling system. A siding track and a downstream track were added on the eastern part of the railyard. The project forced Pangrango services to temporarily stop operations. Pangrango trains only resumed operation until 10 April 2022, much later than other trains affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

Bogor Cathedral, formally the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Indonesian: Gereja Santa Perawan Maria), is a historic church building in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bogor in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia.A church in Buitenzorg (Dutch name for the area) in 1894 served both Protestants and Catholics. The cathedral was built 1905. During the World War II era, it was desecrated in 1945.Currently it serves as the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Bogor (Dioecesis bogorensis) which was created in 1961 by the bull Quod Christus by the Pope John XXII, follows the Roman or Latin rite and is under the pastoral responsibility of the Bishop Paskalis Bruno Syukur.

The Bogor City Regional House of Representatives is the unicameral municipal legislature of the city of Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. It has 50 members, who are elected every five years, simultaneously with the national legislative election.

Bogor Station (BOO) is a railway station located in the city of Bogor, West Java. This station serves as the terminus for Red Line and Yellow Line services of KRL Commuterline. The station has five island platforms and two side platforms. The station is located +246 meter above sea level. The station was first commissioned as the terminus for Jakarta-Buitenzorg (Bogor's previous name) service in 1872. The current building was built in 1881. It was built in the style of Neoclassical architecture. On 20 October 2016, KRL Commuterline unveiled a new 570 square meter hall built in front of the station. This expansion was built mainly to maximize the passenger flow and to separate both incoming and outgoing passengers.This station used to serve intercity trains. Nowadays, the intercity services have moved from this station to the nearby Bogor Paledang station.

The Bogor Palace (Indonesian: Istana Bogor; Dutch: Het Paleis te Buitenzorg) is one of six presidential palaces of Indonesia, it is located in the city of Bogor, West Java. The palace is noted for its distinctive architectural and historical features, as well as the adjoining botanical gardens. Istana Bogor was opened to the public in 1968 to public tour groups (not individuals), with the permission of the acting president of Indonesia, Suharto. The gardens of the palace covers an area of 284,000 square metres (28.4 hectares). During the colonial era the palace became favorite residence of the governors-general due to Bogor's more adaptable climate. It was also favored by the late President Sukarno and became the official presidential residence until his downfall in 1967. The palace remained mostly unused until February 2015, when the new president Joko Widodo moved the president's office from Merdeka Palace to Bogor Palace.

Bogor (Sundanese: ᮘᮧᮌᮧᮁ, Dutch: Buitenzorg) is a city in the West Java province, Indonesia. Located around 60 kilometers (37 mi) south of the national capital of Jakarta, Bogor is the 6th largest city in the Jakarta metropolitan area and the 14th overall nationwide. The city covers an area of 118.50 km2, and it had a population of 950,334 in the 2010 Census and 1,043,070 in the 2020 Census. The official estimate for mid 2022 is 1,099,422. Bogor is an important economic, scientific, cultural, and tourist center, as well as a mountain resort. During the Middle Ages, the city served as the capital of the Sunda Kingdom (Indonesian: Kerajaan Sunda) and was called Pakuan Pajajaran or Dayeuh Pakuan. During the Dutch colonial era, it was named Buitenzorg ("without worries" in Dutch) and served as the summer residence of the Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies. With several hundred thousand people living on an area of about 20 km2 (7.7 sq mi), the central part of Bogor is one of the world's most densely populated areas. The city has a presidential palace and a botanical garden (Indonesian: Kebun Raya Bogor) – one of the oldest and largest in the world. It bears the nickname "Rainy City" (Kota Hujan), because of frequent rain showers, even during the dry season.

The Bogor Botanical Gardens (Indonesian: Kebun Raya Bogor) is a botanical garden located in Bogor, Indonesia, 60 km south of central Jakarta. It is currently operated by Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Indonesian: Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia or LIPI). The garden is located in the city center and adjoin the presidential palace compound of Istana Bogor. It covers an area of 87 hectares (210 acres) and contains 13,983 different kinds of trees and plants of various origin. The geographic position of Bogor means it rains almost daily, even in the dry season. This makes the garden an advantageous location for the cultivation of tropical plants. Founded in 1817 by the order of the government of the Dutch East Indies, the garden thrived under the leadership of many renowned botanists including Johannes Elias Teijsmann, Rudolph Herman Christiaan Carel Scheffer, and Melchior Treub. Since its foundation, the Bogor botanical garden has served as a major research center for agriculture and horticulture. It is the oldest botanical garden in Southeast Asia.

The Kujang Monument (Indonesian: Tugu Kujang) is a 25 metres (82 ft) obelisk located in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. It features a Kujang on top and the Bogor city coat of arms on the centre. The Kujang is a traditional weapon of the Sundanese people. The obelisk is located at the intersection of two roads: Pajajaran and Otto Iskandardinata road, near the Bogor Botanical Garden. It was built in 4 May 1982 during the rule of mayor Achmad Sobana.
