Cheongdam-dong (Korean: 청담동; Hanja: 淸潭洞) is a ward of Gangnam District in Seoul, South Korea. The area is best known in South Korea as an affluent neighborhood populated by a disproportionately high number of high-income individuals and for having some of the most expensive real estate in the country. It is known as an upmarket shopping area, with the main shopping street dubbed Cheongdam Fashion Street. Along with Apgujeong's Rodeo Street in Apgujeong-dong and Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong, which are connected by the main Apgujeong-ro, they are seen as fashionable and trendsetting destinations.

SMT House (stylized as SMT HOUSE), commonly referred to as SMT Seoul, is a restaurant in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, owned by SM F&B Development, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment. The restaurant has five stories, each of which has different style and concept. The first and second floors offer a space for lunch, deserts and café in the daytime and for Spanish tapas restaurant at night. According to a 2021 article, the restaurant reportedly attempts to emphasize seasonality of ingredients. The menu reportedly changes every month, and there is no fixed signature dish. The restaurant serves an array of dishes from Japanese cuisine.

Mitou (Korean: 미토우; Japanese: 未到, lit. 'yet to arrive') is a fine dining restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. It first opened in 2018, and serves Japanese cuisine. It received one Michelin star from 2021 to 2023, and received two stars in 2024. The restaurant reportedly serves kaiseki (multi-course) meals. The menu reportedly changes every season and year, following the availability of ingredients. The cuisine serves both traditional Japanese cuisine and innovations on the cuisine. The pair reportedly adjust the menu to suit Korean tastes. Their signature dish is reportedly a savory monaka (Japanese confection). The restaurant is led by chef duo Kwon Young-woon and Kim Bo-mi; the pair reportedly both met while training in Japan. The restaurant is reportedly named for the restaurant's aspiration to a consistent work ethic and perfection.

7th Door is a restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. It first opened in 2013, and received one Michelin star from 2021 through 2024. It was ranked 18th of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2024. It serves contemporary dishes that often take inspiration from Korean cuisine. The restaurant's chef-owner is Kim Dae-chun. Kim previously operated the restaurant Toc Toc, which is in the same building. 7th Door reportedly creates 40 different ingredients and sauces from scratch. Such ingredients includes jang (fermented sauces), aekjeot (fish sauces), cheong (syrups), and pickled foods. The restaurant reprotedly has a passageway with seven symbolic doors. The first five symbolize the flavors of sweet, sour, salty, spicy, and bitter. The sixth door is fermentation or aging, and the seventh is a new experience of flavor. The restaurant is reportedly small and intimate, with a clear view of the kitchen.

KANG MINCHUL Restaurant (Korean: 강민철 레스토랑) is a fine dining restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. It serves French cuisine. It received one Michelin Star from 2023 through 2024. The owner-chef and namesake of the restaurant is Kang Minchul. Kang studied cooking in Korea until university. At age 24, he worked in hotels and restaurants in the United States. He then moved to France. He reportedly received training from French chefs such as Joël Robuchon, Alain Ducasse, and Pierre Gagnaire. A kimchi dish that he created reportedly appeared on the menu of a three-starred Pierre Gagnaire restaurant in France. He returned to South Korea in the early 2020s and started his restaurant. The restaurant's menu is reportedly not fixed. The restaurant is also reportedly small, and serves three tables at a time by 2024; it originally served only one table at a time.

Kojacha (Korean: 코자차) is a fine dining restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. It first opened in May 2020, and received one Michelin star from 2022 through 2024. The restaurant serves dishes from Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Its name takes one syllable each from "Korean", "Japanese", and "Chinese", and means "Koreans serving Japanese and Chinese food".

Sushi Matsumoto (Korean: 스시 마츠모토) is a fine dining restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. It specializes in sushi, of Japanese cuisine. It received one Michelin Star from 2022 through 2024. According to a 2021 article, the restaurant was led by chef Matsumoto Mizuho. Matsumoto worked at the restaurant Kyubey in Japan, as well as in the Westin Chosun Seoul's Sushi Cho. He became head chef of Sushi Matsumoto in 2011.

Kwonsooksoo (Korean: 권숙수) is a fine dining Korean restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. The restaurant opened in July 2015, and received two Michelin stars in the 2017 Michelin guide. It has maintained that rating through 2023. The head chef is Kwon Woo-joong (권우중). Kwon reportedly learned cooking from his mother. His family reportedly cooked extensively at home; they reportedly made 20 types of kimchi at once. The restaurant's cuisine takes inspiration from Korean royal court cuisine. Dishes are served in Korean ceramics.

The restaurant was named the best restaurant in Korea by Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2024. A 2018 list by The Guardian ranked it in the top 10 best restaurants in Seoul.

L'Amitié (lit. 'friendship'; Korean: 라미띠에) is a fine dining restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. It specializes in French cuisine and first opened in 1999. It received one Michelin star for 2018 (the first year the guide was offered in Seoul) through 2024.
