Berners Street is a thoroughfare located to the north of Oxford Street in the City of Westminster in the West End of London, originally developed as a residential street in the mid-18th century by property developer William Berners, and later devoted to larger commercial and semi-industrial buildings or mansion blocks of flats. It has associations with Charles Dickens, and was the location of makers of musical instruments including pianos and harps, as well as furniture and film-makers.

The Sanderson Hotel is a hotel on Berners Street, London, built in 1958 as the new headquarters and showroom for Arthur Sanderson and Sons, manufacturers of wallpaper, fabrics and paint, for the company's centennial. The building was designed by architect Reginald Uren, of the architectural firm, Slater and Uren. The original design allowed for dynamic room configurations. The building surrounds a courtyard with a Japanese garden designed by Philip Hicks. The Sanderson building was listed Grade II* by English Heritage in 1991. After refurbishment by Philippe Starck and Denton Corker Marshall, it was reopened by Morgans Hotel Group as the Sanderson Hotel on 25 April 2000. In 2019 the hotel was sold to Vivion, a real estate firm backed by the Israeli tycoon Amir Dayan.The hotel occupies the site of 54 Berners Street, known for the Berners Street Hoax of 1810.

The Berners Street hoax was perpetrated by Theodore Hook in Westminster, London, England, in 1809. Hook had made a bet with his friend Samuel Beazley that he could transform any house in London into the most talked-about address in a week, which he achieved by sending out thousands of letters in the name of Mrs Tottenham, who lived at 54 Berners Street, requesting deliveries, visitors, and assistance.

Berners Mansions is a six-storey Edwardian mansion block located in Berners Street in the City of Westminster. Berners Mansions was designed in 1897 by George Dennis Martin (1848-1915), Architect, of Pall Mall East. It is an unlisted building of merit within the Charlotte Street West Conservation Area and recognised as a positive contributor to the townscape of Berners Street and East Marylebone. It is a red brick building situated on the corner of Berners Street and Mortimer Street (formerly Charles Street), opposite the site of the former Middlesex Hospital (now called Fitzroy Place) and comprises 10 residential flats and 4 ground floor shops.

Dickie Fitz was a restaurant in a former pub at 48 Newman Street on the corner with Goodge Street in the City of Westminster, London. It closed in June 2017. It had traded under that name for about one year as an Australian-themed restaurant but had previously been the home to restaurants Ping Pong and the Newman Street Tavern.It was built in 1899 on a site where there has been a pub since the 1780s. Previous pub names include The Oxford and Cambridge, The Cambridge Stores, The Cambridge Arms, and Garrick's Head. The "Cambridge coffee house" is recorded on the site in local directories of 1841 and 1856.

Wells Street is a street in the City of Westminster. It runs from Riding House Street in the north to Oxford Street in the south. It is crossed by Mortimer Street and Eastcastle Street. It is joined on its western side by Marylebone Passage and on the eastern side by Booth's Place and Wells Mews.

The Duke of York is a public house at 47 Rathbone Street, Fitzrovia, London, W1. It is located in the north of the street on the corner with Charlotte Place and bears the year 1791.In 1943 Anthony Burgess and his wife were drinking in the pub when they witnessed it invaded by a "razor gang". It has been speculated that this influenced the content of his later novel A Clockwork Orange.The current landlords are Debbie Sickelmore and Alan Monks. In 2012, the pub's licence was reviewed, after it was wrongly accused of failure to control customers outside the pub. The owners won their court case against Westminster council allowing customers to drink outside.In 2014, Prince Andrew, Duke of York gave permission for his image to be used on the new pub sign, making it the only known pub to bear the current Duke of York's image on its sign.

The Champion is a grade II listed public house in Wells Street, in the City of Westminster, London. It was built around 1860 to 1870 of gault brick with stucco dressings and a slate roof. Historic England comment on its "lively classical detailing". It was refitted by architects John Robson Reid and Sylvia Reid in the 1950s following a competition in Architectural Review.

Newman Street is a street in the City of Westminster. It runs from the junction of Mortimer Street, Cleveland Street, and Goodge Street in the north to Oxford Street in the south and is joined on its western side by Eastcastle Street.

The London Fo Guang Shan Temple is located at 84 Margaret Street, London W1, England. It was established in 1992 and is also known as International Buddhist Progress Society. It is one of two British branches of Fo Guang Shan Order, Taiwan.The temple is located in a former parish school and Church House of 1868–70 designed by William Butterfield. The building is grade II* listed.
