Naringi is a village in the city of Virar, in the state of Maharashtra, India.

Virar (Pronunciation: [ʋiɾaɾ]) is a coastal city in taluka Vasai and district of Palghar, India. It is clubbed into Vasai-Virar city, administered by Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation. It lies in south part of Palghar District in Vasai Taluka and north to the city of Mumbai. It is an important part of Palghar District, Because Palghar is the outermost part of northern side of Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Virar railway station is one of the prominent railway station on the Western Line of Mumbai Suburban Railway due to being the station on the line with high frequency of local-train transit for both ends, Palghar (Dahanu) as well as Churchgate (South Mumbai). Virar City is governed by Municipal Corporation and is situated in Maharashtra State, India. Virar is connected by roads to [[[Mumbai- Ahmedabad Express Highway]]] at Virar Phata(An exit node of highway towards Virar). Virar is famous for Jivdani Temple (Virar East) and Arnala Fort and Arnala Beach in the west in the northern coastal area of konkan region. As per provisional reports if Census of India, population of Virar in 2011 is 1,222,390; of which male and female are 648,172 and 574,218 respectively.

Vasai (Konkani and Marathi pronunciation: [ʋəsəi], formerly and alternatively Marathi; Bajipur, English: Bassein; Portuguese: Baçaim), is a historical place and City near Mumbai (Bombay)'s western suburbs, located in Palghar district which was partitioned from the Thane district in 2014. It also forms a part of Vasai-Virar twin cities in the Konkan division of Maharashtra, India. The Portuguese in Goa and Damaon built the Vasai Fort to defend their colony and participate in the lucrative spice trade and the silk route that converged in the area. Much of Portuguese Bombay and Vasai was seized by Marathas during the period of Peshva rule, after the Battle of Vasai in 1739. The British East India Company then took over the territory from the Maratha Empire in 1780 during the First Anglo-Maratha War.

Vasai-Virar is an agglomeration of four previously governed municipal councils i.e. Vasai, Virar, Nala Sopara, and Navghar-Manikpur and a few villages on the west as well as the east of the congested city area. It lies in the Konkan division of Maharashtra, India. The twin city of Vasai-Virar is a part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). According to the 2011 census, it is the 5th largest city in Maharashtra. Within a close proximity to Mumbai, it is located in Palghar District, & lies north of Vasai Creek and south of the Vaitarna River. Vasai-Virar is bordered by Mira-Bhayandar and Thane on its south and southeast, Bhiwandi-Nizampur on its east and Palghar rural district on its north. Vasai-Virar has several train stations. On the western line it has Naigaon, Vasai Road, Nala Sopara, Virar, and Vaitarna train stations, where as on the central line it has Juchandra and Kaman road stations.

Jivdani Mata is a Hindu goddess whose main temple is atop a hill in Virar, Maharashtra, India.

The Battle of Vasai or the Battle of Bassein was fought between the Marathas and the Portuguese rulers of Vasai (Portuguese, Baçaim; English, Bassein), a town lying near Mumbai (Bombay) in the Konkan region of present-day state of Maharashtra, India. The Marathas were led by Chimaji Appa, a brother of Peshwa Baji Rao I.

Vaitarna is a railway station on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network.

Virar (Marathi pronunciation: [ʋiɾaːɾ]; station code: VR) is a railway station on the Western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Virar is a terminus station. It is around one and a half hours away by train from Churchgate. Virar is a very crowded area, among other adjacent stations like Vasai Road because it is a major tourist spot. It used to be the only railway station to have services to other stations in Palghar District(in which the city of Virar itself is located), Saphale, Palghar, Dahanu and distant southern cities of Gujarat like Vapi, Surat etc. Since 2013 however, the Western Railway zone Suburban network has been extended up to Dahanu. Virar, a satellite city of Mumbai, was connected with the Salsette Island by electric train since 1925.

Datiware is a village in the state of Maharashtra (Palghar taluk, Palghar district) in India on the northern bank of Datiware creek at the mouth of the river Vaitarna. This area is especially famous for its birds and is a popular destination for birdwatchers in winter.

Dativare Fort / Hira Dongar is a fort located 72 km from Vasai, in Palghar district, of Maharashtra. The Fort is located on a small hillock and at commanding point for guarding the trade route along the Vaitarna River, which runs till, Arnala Fort. This was a busy route in medieval times.
