Cogorno (Italian: [koˈɡorno], Ligurian: [kuˈɡuɾnu]) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) southeast of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,316 and an area of 9.1 square kilometres (3.5 sq mi).The municipality of Cogorno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) San Salvatore, Panesi, Monticelli, and Breccanecca. Cogorno borders the municipalities of Carasco, Chiavari, Lavagna, and Ne.

A church at the site is documented since 1190. Initially under the tutelage of the Benedictine order, the present church has a plain facade with a high oculus, and a bell-tower from the 18th century. The interior houses a Crucifixion with the Madonna and Three saints including Erasmus and Francis, attributed to Santi di Tito.

Chiavari railway station (Italian: Stazione di Chiavari) serves the town and comune of Chiavari, in the Liguria region, northwestern Italy. Opened in 1868, it forms part of the Pisa–La Spezia–Genoa railway, and is situated between La Spezia and Genoa. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Train services to and from the station are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company.
