Hawkmoor Hospital, originally known as Hawkmoor County Sanatorium, was a specialist hospital near Bovey Tracey in Devon, founded in 1913 as a pulmonary tuberculosis sanatorium as part of a network of such facilities, instigated by the Public Health (Tuberculosis Regulations) 1912. From 1948, the hospital catered for patients with a range of chest ailments (including tuberculosis), as well as chest surgery, and mental disability patients. From 1973, the facility dealt solely with mental health problems until its closure in 1987.

Great Rock Mine is a disused micaceous haematite mine about 3 km north of the town of Bovey Tracey in Devon, England. It was worked from the nineteenth century until 1969, and was the last active mine in the Dartmoor National Park area.At its most active during the 1940s, the mine produced 2,500 tons of micaceous haematite per year. The mineral was an important ingredient in the rust-resistant paint used on Royal Navy ships and on bridges, including the Royal Albert Bridge and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Kelly Mine is a disused metalliferous mine situated on the eastern flank of Dartmoor near the village of Lustleigh in Devon, England. It was intermittently operational from the 1790s until 1951. It is one of some ten mines and two or three trials within the triangle formed by the towns of Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampstead and the village of Hennock, which worked deposits of micaceous haematite, known as "shiny ore". Since 1984 the mine has been the subject of a volunteer restoration project.

Canonteign Falls is a waterfall in the historic tything of Canonteign in the Teign Valley and Dartmoor National Park near Chudleigh, South Devon, England. It is 220 feet (70 m) high and is one of the highest waterfalls in England. It was created in 1890 by diverting a stream over the edge of a cliff.

Bridford is a village and civil parish in south west England, located in the Teign Valley, Devon on the edge of Dartmoor. The parish is surrounded (clockwise from the north) by the parishes of Dunsford, Doddiscombsleigh, Christow, and Moretonhampstead. At the 2011 census the population of the parish was 503, compared with 404 in 1901.

Hennock is a village and civil parish about 3 miles west north west of Chudleigh, in the Teignbridge district, in the county of Devon, England. In 2011 the parish had a population of 1747. The parish touches Bovey Tracey, Kingsteignton, Christow, Chudleigh and Trusham.

Pullabrook Halt was a railway station opened in 1931 by the Great Western Railway to serve the hamlet of Pullabrook that lies between Bovey Tracey and Lustleigh in West Devon, England. Opened as Hawkmoor Halt after Hawkmoor Hospital, originally known as Hawkmoor County Sanatorium, a specialist hospital founded in 1913 as a pulmonary tuberculosis sanatorium. It was renamed Pullabrook Halt by the British Railways in 1955, a few years before closure. The halt was opened at a later date than most of the stations on the line which had itself opened in 1876. The single platform's construction was of infill behind railway sleepers. The track was single with no passing loop or sidings.

Lustleigh station was on the Moretonhampstead and South Devon Railway serving the village of Lustleigh, Devon, England. Lustleigh was the penultimate station on this 12.3 mile (20 km) branchline off the South Devon Main Line. It had a single platform and one siding. The platform survives and the station building has been greatly enlarged. The Moretonhampstead and South Devon Railway company was formed in 1861, and work on the line commenced in 1863. The line opened to the public in 1866 and converted from broad gauge to standard gauge in 1892. The station was host to a GWR camp coach from 1934 to 1939. A camping coach was also positioned here by the Western Region from 1952 to 1958.The station closed to passengers after the last train on 28 February 1959, with goods trains continuing until 1964. The station was used on 28 February 1931 for the film The Hound of the Baskervilles, its name being temporarily changed to Baskerville.

The Harbourne River is a river in Devon in England. Its estuary is known as Bow Creek, and flows into the River Dart near Stoke Gabriel. The river rises on the slopes of Gripper's Hill on Dean Moor on Dartmoor. From the source it flows generally south east, under the A38 road, to the village of Harberton. There it turns south, then east through Harbertonford to the hamlet of Bow near Ashprington. Below Bow the river is tidal, and becomes Bow Creek. Two miles below Bow, the estuary joins the Dart. The hamlet of Tuckenhay lies on the south bank of Bow Creek. There was a history of milling on the river. From the late 18th century there was a woollen mill at Harbertonford, fed by a leat from a weir upstream of the village. Until flood defence works were completed in 2002, the river caused periodic flooding at Harbertonford.The river gives its name to Harbourne Blue, a goat's cheese made near Ashprington.

Bovey Tracey Association Football Club is a football club based in Bovey Tracey, Devon, England. They are currently members of the South West Peninsula League Premier Division East and play at Mill Marsh Park.

Bovey Tracey Town Hall is a municipal building in Town Hall Place, Bovey Tracey, Devon, England. The town hall, which is the meeting place of Bovey Tracey Town Council, is a Grade II listed building.

The Church of St John the Baptist is the Church of England parish church of the village of Lustleigh, Devon, located in the centre of the village.
