Thornhill, Torfaen

Upper Cwmbran (Welsh: Cwmbrân Uchaf) is a suburb of Cwmbran, Torfaen in Wales. It lies in between the suburbs of Pontnewydd and Thornhill. It is a community and electoral ward of Torfaen County Borough Council.

Greenmeadow is a suburb of Cwmbran in the county borough of Torfaen, within the historic county boundaries of Monmouthshire, southern Wales, United Kingdom. Not to be confused with Green Meadow Golf Club, which is on the other side of Cwmbran in Croesyceiliog.

Cwmbran High School (Welsh: Ysgol Uwchradd Cwmbran), previously known as Fairwater High School, is a state-funded and non-selective comprehensive school in the Fairwater district of Cwmbran, Torfaen, Wales. The school is one of two secondary schools in Cwmbran, the other being Croesyceiliog. It educates children from the age of 11 up to 16. The school also houses the community swimming pool. Construction began in 1969 and was to replace the secondary modern in Coed Eva, opened in 1960, that had to become a primary school in order to accommodate the growing younger population in Cwmbran New Town. In 2015, as part of Torfaen County's 21st Century Schools Programme, Llantarnam School, one of the original Cwmbran New Town schools, closed and was merged with Fairwater High to form a new school on the latter site. It opened in September of that year as Cwmbran High School. Cwmbran High School also has a Hearing Impaired Base and an ASD Base attached. The Governing body has now been replaced by an Interim Executive Board (IEB) and has recently introduced a Shadow Governing Body. [1]

Fairwater is a community and suburb of Cwmbran in the county borough of Torfaen, in south east Wales, and was built by the Cwmbran Development Corporation between 1963 and 1966.

Coed Eva (Welsh: Coed Efa) is a suburb of Cwmbran in Torfaen County Borough, Wales. It lies in the preserved county of Gwent and within the historic boundaries of Monmouthshire.

Cwmbran Central is a community in the new town of Cwmbran, Torfaen, South Wales. It had a population of 9,947 as of the 2011 United Kingdom census.

Two Locks is a suburb of Cwmbran in the county borough of Torfaen, in south-east Wales. The locks in question are part of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal in its southern section between Newport and Pontypool.

Mynydd Twyn-glas is a sprawling 472-metre-high mountain extending into Caerphilly and Torfaen county boroughs in South Wales. It lies southwest of Pontypool, west of Cwmbran and east of Newbridge and taking the form of a rolling plateau the margins of which are defined by steep slopes, many of which are cloaked with conifer plantations. A broad shoulder extending south from the summit is known as Mynydd Maen whilst to the north is Mynydd Llwyd. The thickly afforested northern slopes of the hill drop down steeply into Cwm y Glyn.

Old Cwmbrân (Welsh: Hen Gwmbrân; also known as Cwmbrân Village) is an area of Cwmbrân, Torfaen in Wales, within the historic boundaries of Monmouthshire.
