Whitnall High School is a comprehensive secondary school in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. It is part of the Whitnall School District. It is named for Charles B. Whitnall, the first Socialist City Treasurer of Milwaukee and the architect of Milwaukee County's system of public parks.

WOKY (920 kHz, "The Big 920") is a commercial AM radio station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. It is one of two sports radio stations owned by iHeart in Milwaukee. WRNW focuses on Wisconsin-based sports shows, while WOKY mostly airs national programs from Fox Sports Radio, including Dan Patrick and Colin Cowherd. WOKY's studios and offices, which became the home of all iHeart Milwaukee stations in 2000 after a building expansion, are on West Howard Avenue in Greenfield. By day, WOKY is powered at 5,000 watts. To protect other stations on 920 AM from interference, it reduces power at night to 1,000 watts. It uses a directional antenna with a four-tower array. The transmitter site is behind the studios in Greenfield. WOKY broadcasts using HD Radio technology.

WVCY-FM (107.7 MHz) is a non-commercial listener-supported radio station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is owned by VCY America, founded by Vic Eliason, with studios on West Kilbourn Avenue. WVCY-FM is the flagship station of the VCY America Christian radio network, airing a mix of talk and teaching programs and traditional Christian music. The station has multiple FM translators in Wisconsin and other Midwest states and is simulcast on WVCY 690 AM in Oshkosh. WVCY-FM is a Class B FM station, with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 43,000 watts. The transmitter is on Beloit Road at SW 124th Street in New Berlin.

Trimborn Farm is a Victorian era estate located in Greendale, Wisconsin, United States, and owned by Milwaukee County. Spanning 7.5 acres (18.5 hectares) and nine buildings, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The farm is also a State Historic Site and designated Milwaukee County Landmark.

The Jeremiah Curtin House is a stone building built in 1846. It was the boyhood home of noted American linguist and folklorist Jeremiah Curtin (1840-1906) and is part of the Trimborn Farm estate in Greendale, Wisconsin. The house is owned by the Milwaukee County Historical Society and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house is a two-story building with 18-inch (0.46 m) thick walls of Milwaukee County limestone and stucco. It is about 24.5 feet (7.5 m) by 19 feet (5.8 m) in plan. The house was restored in the 1930s in a Works Project Administration project but later was vandalized heavily. It was acquired by the Milwaukee County Historical Society in 1952.In addition to its association with Jeremiah Curtin, it was deemed notable as it was believed to be the first stone dwelling in Greenfield Township and the oldest surviving structure in the area. It is also significant as a tangible representation of Irish immigration to the rural areas of Milwaukee County.The NRHP nomination for the house asserts incorrectly that it was the birthplace for Jeremiah Curtin, but in fact he was born in Detroit in 1840.

Boerner Botanical Gardens are botanical gardens located on the grounds of Whitnall Park in the village of Hales Corners, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The gardens are named for Alfred Boerner, who designed the original five formal gardens. The Annual, Perennial, Rock, Rose and Peony Gardens were constructed in the 1930s. Later additions included trial, herb, lily and shrub rose gardens, as well as the Bog Walk. Part of the Milwaukee County Park System, the gardens are maintained by professional horticulturalists. Many species of plant life are cultivated and displayed. The gardens include test and display gardens for All-America Selections, and is an American Hosta Society Display Garden.Boerner Botanical Gardens is open from late April to early November, and closes for the winter.Within the gardens and adjacent to them in Whitnall Park, and along the Root River Parkway is the arboretum, which showcases arranged groves of trees and shrubs. Nearby are the Wehr Nature Center and the historic Trimborn Farm estate, which are also maintained by the county park system.

Nathan Hale High School is a public high school in West Allis, Wisconsin, located on Lincoln Avenue and South 116th Street. The school boundaries are the City of West Allis, Village of West Milwaukee as well as portions of New Berlin and Greenfield. It runs on a 50-minute, 8 period, 2 semester schedule. The faculty is made of more than 100 faculty members including 5 guidance counselors and 6 administrators. Nathan Hale High School offers organizations including Nathan Hale Mentors, FBLA, HOSA, and DECA as well as clubs, such as Students for Saving the Earth, Key Club, DART, Bowling Club, Forensics, National Honor Society, German, French and Spanish Honors Societies, Drama Club, Magic the Gathering Club, Video Game Club, and more. Nathan Hale's rival is the West Allis Central Bulldogs.

Wehr Nature Center is a 220-acre (89 ha) nature preserve located in Hales Corners, Wisconsin: it is part of Whitnall Park. It was named for philanthropist Todd Wehr whose foundation donated $200,000 USD to help build the center.
