Tel Masos

Tel Ira is an archaeological site in the Negev (Israel), overlooking the Beer Sheva valley. It was occupied in the Early Bronze III, Iron II, Persian, Hellenistic, Early Roman, Byzantine and Early Arab periods. It was first occupied in the 27th century BC. Its ancient/biblical name is unknown.

Nevatim Airbase (Hebrew: בסיס נבטים, English: sprouts) (IATA: VTM, ICAO: LLNV), also Air Force Base 28, is an Israeli Air Force (IAF) base, located 15 km east-southeast of Beersheba, near moshav Nevatim in the northern Negev desert. It is one of the largest in Israel and has three runways of different lengths. Stealth fighter jets, transport aircraft, tanker aircraft and machines for electronic reconnaissance/surveillance, as well as the Wing of Zion, are stationed there. The air base was long considered for dual use, military and civilian, as an airport for the growing city of Beersheba (see International Airport).

Abu Basma Regional Council (Hebrew: מועצה אזורית אבו בסמה, Moatza Ezorit Abu Basma, Arabic: مجلس إقليمي أبو بسمة, Majlis Iqlimi Abu Basma) was a regional council operating in 2003-2012 and covering several Bedouin villages in the northwestern Negev desert of Israel. Following the Minister of Interior decision on November 5, 2012, it was split into two newly created bodies: Neve Midbar Regional Council and al-Kasom Regional Council.

al-Kasom Regional Council (Hebrew: מועצה אזורית אל קסום, Mo'atza Azorit El Kassum, Arabic: المجلس الإقليمي القيصوم, al-Majlis al-Iqlīmī al-Qayṣūm) is one of two Negev Bedouin regional councils formed as a result of the split of the Abu Basma Regional Council on November 5, 2012. Al-Kasom regional council is in the northwestern Negev desert of Israel. It is made up of seven recognized Bedouin communities: Tirabin al-Sana, Umm Batin, al-Sayyid, Mulada, Makhul, Kukhleh (Abu Rubaiya) and Drijat (Durayjat). The overall population is over 20,000 (as of June 2013). There are also Bedouin living in unrecognized villages whose exact number is unknown. The al-Kasom Regional Council, as well as Neve Midbar Regional Council are the main arena for the implementation of the Prawer Plan, which was shelved in 2013.

Neve Midbar Regional Council (Hebrew: מועצה אזורית נווה מדבר, Moatza Azorit Neveh Midbar, Arabic: المجلس الإقليمي واحة, al-Majlis al-Iqlīmī Wāḥah) is one of two regional councils formed as a result of a split of Abu Basma Regional Council on November 5, 2012. This regional council is situated in the northwestern Negev desert of Israel and populated by the Negev Bedouin.

Mulada (Arabic: مولدا; Hebrew: מולדה), also known as Sa'wa (Hebrew: סעוה), is a Bedouin village in the Negev desert in southern Israel.

Ar'arat an-Naqab (Arabic: عرعرة النقب) or Ar'ara BaNegev (Hebrew: עַרְעָרָה בַּנֶּגֶב), previously called Aroer, is a Bedouin town (local council) in the Southern District of Israel. Its name stands for "the juniper tree in Negev". It is situated not far from the archaeological site of Aroer. Ar'arat an-Naqab was founded in 1982 as part of a government project to settle Bedouins in permanent settlements. It is one of seven Bedouin townships in the Negev desert with approved plans and developed infrastructure (other six are: Hura, Lakiya, Shaqib al-Salam (Segev Shalom), Kuseife (Kseife), Tel as-Sabi (Tel-Sheva) and the city of Rahat, the largest among them).

Highway 31 is an inter-city highway in southern Israel. It begins at Lakiya Interchange with Highway 6 at Lakiya. It passes through Hura, Kuseife, Arad, and it terminates at Zohar Junction with Highway 90 south of Neve Zohar just west of the Dead Sea.

Nevatim (Hebrew: נְבָטִים) is a moshav in southern Israel. Located in the northern Negev desert around 8 km (5 mi) south-east of Beersheba, it falls under the jurisdiction of Bnei Shimon Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 1,068.The nearest settlements are the Bedouin towns of Tel as-Sabi to the north and Shaqib al-Salam to the south. At a greater distance to the northeast lies Nevatim Israeli Air Force Base, named after the moshav.

Umm Batin (Arabic: أم بطين; Hebrew: אום בטין) is a Bedouin village in southern Israel. Located in the northern Negev desert, 12 km northeast of Beersheba and adjacent to the highway 60, it falls under the jurisdiction of al-Kasom Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 4,705.

Kukhleh (Arabic: كحله; Hebrew: כוחלה) is a Negev Bedouin village in southern Israel. Located between the Bedouin towns of Hura and Kuseife, it falls under the jurisdiction of al-Kasom Regional Council. In 2023 it had a population of 344.

Abu Qrenat or Abu Karinat (Arabic: ابو قرينات; Hebrew: אבו קרינאת) is a Bedouin village in Israel. Located in the northwestern Negev, it falls under the jurisdiction of Neve Midbar Regional Council. The village was established for the Abu Qrenat tribe from which the village receives its name. In 2021 its population was 2,081.In 2016 a trial archaeological excavation took place at the El-Ghanami Neighborhood ahead of development work. The excavation revealed intensive agricultural activity in the region, mostly from the Byzantine (4th-7th centuries CE), Mamluk and Ottoman periods (15th-19th centuries CE). The findings included poor remains of structures (including a possible open mosque), installations, dams, cave dwellings, tombs and terraces.
