Tregonning Hill is the westerly of two granite hills overlooking Mount's Bay in west Cornwall, United Kingdom, the other being Godolphin Hill. They are approximately 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) west of the town of Helston. The Plymouth chemist William Cookworthy mixed china stone with kaolin, mined from the hill to make Plymouth porcelain in 1768; which was the first time hard-paste porcelain was made in Britain. Part of the hill is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and at the date of notification (1994) was the only known site of western rustwort (Marsupella profunda) in Great Britain.

Trewithick is a hamlet in the parish of Breage in Cornwall, England. The hamlet is at the end of Trewithick Road from the A394 (formally known as School Road) and is at the junction between Porthleven and Rinsey via Breage. The hamlet is mainly farms; however, there are also some cottages there. Breaney Methodist Chapel is about half a mile from the hamlet.

Balwest (Cornish: Bal West, meaning Western mine) is a hamlet in the civil parish of Germoe in west Cornwall, England, in the United Kingdom.The hamlet is on the southern edge of a former mining area, part of a geological formation known as the Tregonning-Godolphin Granite (one of five granite batholiths in Cornwall) which was formerly an important source of tin and copper ore (see also Geology of Cornwall). A Wesleyan Methodist chapel was opened at Balwest in 1829 for miners. The building is Grade II listed.

The nearby hamlet of Rinsey Croft is located 1 km to the north-east. The nearby cliffs and beach are owned and managed by the National Trust and part of Rinsey East Cliff is designated as the Porthcew Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for its geological interest. The South West Coast Path passes through the property. Rinsey lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The name Rinsey is an anglicisation of the Cornish language Rynnji, which contains the words rynn 'point of land' (as in Penryn), and chi 'house'.

Carleen is a village in the parish of Breage, Cornwall, England, about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north of the village of Breage on the road to Godolphin Cross. Carleen Wesleyan Chapel opened in 1883 and was later renamed Carleen Methodist Church; it closed in 1990. Carleen Community Church is affiliated to the Apostolic Church and runs a day care centre.The Wheal Vor mine, about a mile to the north east of Carleen, has been described as "one of the biggest and richest Cornish tin mines" of the 19th century. In 2021, Cornish Tin Ltd announced plans for test drilling on the site, its "2021 Exploration Area" including much of Carleen village, and local residents formed the Great Wheal Vor Community and Environment Group to enable them to "make informed decisions concerning activities which will impact their lifestyles and businesses."

Wheal Prosper was a tin mine in Cornwall, England, a short distance from the hamlet of Rinsey and about 2.5 miles (4 km) west of Porthleven. The ruined engine house remains, overlooking Mount's Bay near Rinsey Head. The site is a Scheduled Monument, and the engine house is a Grade II listed building.

Breaney Methodist chapel is a Methodist chapel in the village of Breage, near Helston, Cornwall, UK. The chapel is on Trewithick road in Breage, past the school. It was built in 1829 for and by the Miners of Breage. There were many other chapels in Breage parish (all of them turned into houses except one which is now a social club). The chapel is listed as of having architectural merit and must be painted white as it is a marker for fishermen in the bay. It was officially called Troon Methodist chapel until 1992 when the name changed to Breaney. Breaney was the name chosen by the uniting congregations of Breage and Sithney obviously taking half of each name! In 1992 the chapel was renovated with a new first floor worship area, new seating, new carpets, new paint, a new organ and more whilst key features such as the gallery pews and plaster columns were retained. In 2016 the future of the chapel was questioned in a rationalisation process by The Lizard & Mounts bay Methodist circuit. After much prayer and discussion the fellowship are seeking new ways to serve the community and share the love of God. The Methodist chapel originally had a very old, mainly wood pipe organ which was fitted in the organ loft but in 1992 the organ was taken out and replaced by an electronic organ. There is an Ordnance Survey benchmark on the bottom wall of the chapel on a corner.

The name Boscreege is an anglicisation of the Cornish language Boskrug, which contains the words bos 'dwelling' and krug 'barrow, mound'.

Breage Parish Church is the Anglican parish church of the parish of Breage, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is dedicated to Saint Breage or Breaca, said to have been an Irish nun who came to Cornwall in the 5th-century.
