The Neilson Hays Library is a privately funded English-language library in Bangkok, Thailand. It occupies a historic building on Surawong Road in Bangkok's Bang Rak District, designed in neoclassical style by Italian architects Mario Tamagno and Giovanni Ferrero. The library traces its origins to the Bangkok Ladies' Library Association, which was established in 1869, but did not have a permanent location until the current building was commissioned in 1921 by resident American doctor T. Heyward Hays in memory of his late wife, Jennie Neilson Hays, who had been an active member of the library board. The building, completed in 1922, features a symmetrical plan, with a domed rotunda originally serving as the entrance hall (now a gallery), and an H-shaped reading room. The building received the ASA Architectural Conservation Award in 1982, and was registered as an ancient monument in 2001. It underwent major restoration work from 2016 to 2018.

The British Club is an expatriates' social club in Bangkok, Thailand. It was founded as a British gentlemen's club in 1903, and established in its current location on Surawong Road in 1910. The club's operations were disrupted by the Second World War, after which it was re-established. Today, the club features several sporting facilities, as well as dining services and function rooms in the original clubhouse, which has been recognized as an award-winning historic building, and is one of several historic buildings in Bang Rak District.

Bang Rak (Thai: บางรัก, pronounced [bāːŋ rák]) is one of the fifty districts (khet) of Bangkok, Thailand. It lies on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River, beyond Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem, which marked the old city boundary. Originating from riverside settlements dating from before the city's foundation, Bang Rak grew inland as new roads and canals were constructed through the area during the second half of the nineteenth century and the early twentieth, attracting communities of expatriates and developing into a major commercial district. Bangkok's rapid economic growth in the late twentieth century saw the areas along Si Lom and Sathon roads transformed into one of the city's main business districts, teeming with skyscrapers. The district, officially recognised at least since 1908, covers an area of 5.54 square kilometres (2.14 sq mi), and has a registered population of 48,227 (as of 2019). Today, Bang Rak is known for the financial activity of its commercial offices, as well as its vibrant nightlife scenes. Diverse historic and religious sites, most significantly concentrated in Bang Rak Subdistrict on the waterfront, reflect the district's multicultural history.

Si Phraya Road (Thai: ถนนสี่พระยา, pronounced [sìː pʰráʔ.jāː]) is a road in Bang Rak District, Bangkok, Thailand. It divides the areas of Maha Phruettharam and Si Phraya subdistricts. Built in 1906 by four noblemen of the rank phraya (hence the name, which means 'four phraya'), the road runs from Si Phraya Pier at the mouth of the Phadung Krung Kasem Canal to Sam Yan Intersection, where it meets the Phaya Thai and Rama IV Roads.

Bangkok Folk Museum, or Bangkokian Museum (Thai: พิพิธภัณฑ์ชาวบางกอก, RTGS: Phiphithaphan Chao Bang Kok), is a museum in Bangkok, Thailand. It is at house number 273 on Soi Charoen Krung 43, near the Sri Rat Expressway, several hundred metres from the left bank of the Chao Phraya River. Set in a building dating back to the World War II period, the museum offers an insight into the lifestyles of well-off Bangkokians during World War II and its aftermath (1937–1957). On 1 October 2004, the museum was bequeathed to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration by Waraporn Surawadee who had inherited it from her mother.The museum consists of two main two-storey buildings and a garden. In an upstairs room of the first, are the family quarters. Here are displays of many of the possessions of original family members. These include the old Benjarong jar made from Thai porcelain in five basic colors, from the King Rama V period (1858 – 1910).The second building in the Bangkok Folk Museum is at the rear and was once intended to be the home and clinic of Dr. Francis Christian, the stepfather of the owner. Christian died before he could move in. On display are his cigar collection, and various stoves dating back to the early-20th century. One display has an old Bangkokian kitchen from the war period. Another room displays sanitation and toilet facilities during the war and has two toilets standing next to each other.

The Jewelry Trade Center is a 59-story mixed-use skyscraper located in the Silom Road gemstone district of Bangkok, Thailand. Designed by Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum, the building was completed in 1996. At 220.7 metres (724 ft) it is currently the eighth-tallest building in Thailand. It was the tallest building in Thailand when it was completed. The center is the largest center for selling, sourcing and distributing jewelry in Bangkok and one of the largest such centers in Asia. It contains a fully equipped gem-testing laboratory operated by the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS) as well as a gemological school, also operated by AIGS. The Bangkok Fashion Mall located in the building's lower plaza is a large retail space for outlet stores featuring clothing, shoes and accessories. Suppliers of loose gemstones, rough stones and jewelry from around the world are also in the retail areas of the building. The building contains banks, a food court, coffee shops, a convenience store, a health club, a post office, a customs office, and residential condominiums.The center is built on a plot of land of 9.5 rai, or approximately 4.5 acres (18,000 m2). Partners in the project included Henry Ho (of Bijoux Holdings), Samrit Chirathivat (late CEO of the Central Group, later replaced by Vanchai Chirathivat), Vichai Maleenont (of Bangkok Entertainment, operator of TV Channel 3), and Chatri Sophonpanich (CEO of Bangkok Bank).

The Gallery Soulflower is an art gallery in Thailand created and managed by Soulflower and founded by Amit Sarda and Natasha Tuli. Since 2007 they have been promoting Indian art and it serves as a platform for Indian contemporary artists to present their individual art. The gallery is housed within the Silom Galleria and organizes 4-6 exhibitions annually, by established and emerging Indian artists from all over the country, as well as foreign artists. Works on display range from painting, sculpture, photography, installations, to new media and conceptual-based art. Some of the artists who have displayed their work include: Yashwant Deshmukh, B M Kamath, Pooja Iranna, Chintan upadhyay, Vivek Vilasini, Murali Cheeroth, Navin Rawanchaikul, Ranbir Kaleka, Maya Burman, Lavanya Mani, Shefali Nayan, Varunika Saraf, Prajakta Potnis Ponmany, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Viraj Naik, Azis T M, Zakkir Hussain, K P Reji, E H Pushkin, Binoy Varghese, Gigi Scaria, Babu Xavier, Sheba Chhachhi and others.

San Chao Chet is a temple to Goddess Mazu, Chinese Goddess of Sea and Patron Deity of fishermen, sailors and any occupations related to sea/ocean. The temple is located on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River in the Bang Rak District of Bangkok in Thailand, and is named after the seven statues of Goddess Mazu.

Sri Maha Mariamman Temple (Tamil: அருள்மிகு ஶ்ரீ மஹாமாரி அம்மன் கோவில்), also known as Maha Uma Devi Temple (Thai: วัดพระศรีมหาอุมาเทวี; RTGS: Wat Phra Si Maha Umathewi and Wat Khaek (วัดแขก) in Thai, is a South Indian architecture style Hindu temple on Si Lom Road in Bangkok, Thailand. It was built in 1879 by Vaithi Padayatchi, a Tamil Hindu immigrant.

The Peninsula Bangkok is a 5-star hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The hotel opened in 1998, counting 37 floors and 367 rooms. The hotel was 50% owned by the Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (HSH) and 50% by the Phataraprasit family until 2020, when HSH purchased the Phataraprasit family's stake in the property.

Surawong Road (Thai: ถนนสุรวงศ์, pronounced [sù.ra.wōŋ]) is a road in the Bang Rak District of Bangkok, Thailand, linking Charoen Krung Road to Rama IV and forming the boundary between Suriyawong and Si Lom subdistricts. It was built at the end of the 19th century during Bangkok's period of expansion following the country's opening up to the West, and was home to many leading businesses, upper-class families, and members of the expatriate community. It was known as a Western-style nightlife entertainment district during the 1920s, and was—and still is—home to many leading hotels. The road grew as a business district along with the nearby Si Lom Road during the mid-20th century, but lagged behind in development toward the end of the century due to its limited traffic capacity. Today, it is still home to several historic landmarks, as well as many well-known restaurants.

The General Post Office (Thai: อาคารไปรษณีย์กลาง, RTGS: Akhan Praisani Klang, pronounced [ʔāː.kʰāːn prāj.sā.nīː klāːŋ]), also known as the Grand Postal Building, is a historic building in the Bang Rak District of Bangkok. Opened on 24 June 1940 on the former site of the British Legation, it was designed by architects Sarot Sukkhayang and Mew Aphaiwong in a mixture of Art Deco and International Style architecture which reflected the desire of the ruling People's Party to project a modern and powerful image of the state.In 2017, the building was converted for use as the new headquarters of the Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC). The conversion received the ASA Architectural Conservation Award in the New Design in Heritage Contexts category for 2020–2021. A branch post office of Thailand Post remains at the building, providing postal services to the general public.
