Church of Santa María Magdalena (Lima)

The Palacio de la Magdalena (Spanish for Magdalena Palace) is a viceregal house located in the district of Pueblo Libre in Lima. It is located near the Plaza de los Libertadores, and is also known as the Quinta de los Libertadores. The building was declared a national monument in 1972.

La Cruz del Viajero (The Cross of the Traveller) is a monumental cross located in what now Pueblo Libre, a district of the city of Lima, Peru. It was erected in 1579 by Catholic missionaries. Travellers would stop at the cross to ask for protection on the road to the port of Callao, a route which was beset by bandits. In 1759 the cross was moved 100 metres from its original location to a plaza that bears its name on the corner of Torre Tagle and Julio C. Tello streets. Both José de San Martín and Simón Bolívar are said to have knelt before the cross.The cross was declared a Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación (Cultural Patrimony of the Nation) in 1998.

The Museo Nacional de Arqueología Antropología e Historia del Perú (English: National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology, and History of Peru) is the largest and oldest museum in Peru, located on Plaza Bolívar in the Pueblo Libre district of Lima. The museum houses more than 100,000 artifacts spanning the entire history of human occupation in what is now Peru. Highlights include the Raimondi Stele and the Tello Obelisk from Chavín de Huantar, and an impressive scale model of the Incan citadel, Machu Picchu.

The Seminario de Lima or Seminary of Lima Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo (founded 7 December 1590) is the major seminary for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lima and provides training for those studying for the priesthood. Headquartered in Lima, Peru, it can be considered one of the oldest seminaries on the American continent; it was founded on December 7, 1590, by Archbishop Toribio de Mogrovejo. The seminary receives young people who want to be priests. Priests graduating from the seminary serve the Roman Catholic Church under the jurisdiction of the Archbishop.

Pueblo Libre (originally called La Magdalena or Old Magdalena to differentiate it from Magdalena del Mar District) is a district of the Lima Province in Peru. Its name, which means Free Town or Free People, was granted by José de San Martín on April 10, 1822, as a recognition of the patriotism shown by its inhabitants during the Peruvian War of Independence. The district was created by law 9162 on November 5, 1940. Pueblo Libre is a middle-class residential community and has the most parks in Lima, although it has several branches of banks, local private universities and major corporations.

The Larco Museum (officially known as Rafael Larco Herrera Archaeological Museum, in Spanish: Museo Arqueológico Rafael Larco Herrera) is a privately owned museum of pre-Columbian art, located in the Pueblo Libre District of Lima, Peru. The museum is housed in an 18th-century vice-royal building. It showcases chronological galleries that provide a thorough overview of 5,000 years of Peruvian pre-Columbian history. It is well known for its gallery of pre-Columbian erotic pottery.

The Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Spanish: Iglesia del Inmaculado Corazón de María), commonly known as The Dome (Spanish: La Cúpula), is a Catholic church located in the intersection of Antonio José de Sucre Avenue and Jirón 28 de Julio, in Magdalena del Mar District, Lima, Peru. The work was conceived by the Claretian priest Simón Llobet. Since 1957, the year of its inauguration, it has become one of the most visible religious and architectural symbols of the city despite its great demographic growth. It is the tallest church in Lima. The works were financed through donations and charitable events.

The Diez de Octubre School (Chinese: 中華三民聯校; pinyin: zhōnghuá sānmín lián xiào; lit. 'Chung Wa-San Min United Colleges'; CDO), is a Peruvian private school headquartered in Lima—in the districts of Breña and San Miguel— and Chiclayo. It was founded in 1924 by a group of women from the Catholic Ladies' Association of the Chinese Colony. The college offers early, primary and secondary education studies.The school, originally funded by the government of the Republic of China, is the first Chinese school in the Americas.

Universidad Alas Peruanas (UAP or Peruvian Wings University) is a university located in Lima, Peru, founded on April 26, 1996, by Joaquin Ramirez thorough an Cooperativa Alas Peruanas, composed of members of the Peruvian Armed Forces. In January 2014, the school launched UAPSat-1, a satellite that monitors the environment outside the earth's atmosphere aboard the Cygnus CRS Orb-1 mission.
