Linton Village College is a secondary school in Linton, South Cambridgeshire, England. Established in 1937 as a village college, the school now has academy status.The school has specialisms in Business and Enterprise and Applied Learning.

Linton railway station was a railway station in Linton, Cambridgeshire on the Stour Valley Railway. It closed in 1967. The station house is H-shaped and made of tan colour brick. It is still standing, as well as the platform and sunken trackbed space at the back of the building.

It was formed in 1894 under the Local Government Act 1894, covering the area of the previous Caxton rural sanitary district, save for the Huntingdonshire parishes of Great Gransden and Yelling, which were placed in the St Neots Rural District; to which was added Graveley from St Neots RSD. It therefore included the parishes of Arrington, Bourn, Caldecote, Caxton, Croxton, Croydon, East Hatley, Elsworth, Eltisley, Gamlingay, Graveley, Great Eversden, Hardwick, Hatley St George, Kingston, Knapwell, Little Eversden, Little Gransden, Longstowe, Orwell, Papworth Everard, Papworth St Agnes, Tadlow, Toft, and Wimpole.In 1934 under a County Review Order, it was abolished, and its area divided between Chesterton Rural District and the new South Cambridgeshire Rural District.

Furze Hill is a 5.8-hectare (14-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in three nearby areas east of Hildersham in Cambridgeshire.The site has steep banks of glacial deep sandy gravel, and is one of the few examples of a sandy habitat in the county. There are several rare plants, such as hoary cinquefoils, pasque flowers and maiden pinks.The site is private land with no public access.

Hadstock is a village in Essex, England, about 6 miles (10 km) from Saffron Walden. It is on the county boundary with Cambridgeshire and about 9 miles (14 km) from Cambridge. The 2001 Census recorded a parish population of 320, increasing to 332 at the 2011 Census.The Church of England parish church of Saint Botolph has the oldest door still in use in Great Britain. The oldest parts of the church are thought to date from about AD 1020. Since that time the church has received many additions and undergone several renovations. On the outskirts of the village is a disused airfield that was used in World War II. While the official name for the airfield became RAF Little Walden, it was originally named after the village of Hadstock. Hadstock has a silver band.

Hildersham is a small village 8 miles to the south-east of Cambridge, England. It is situated just off the A1307 between Linton and Great Abington on a tributary of the River Cam known locally as the River Granta. The parish boundary extends from the Roman Road, known in medieval times as Wool Street, north of the village, to the border with Essex to the south.The village sign was designed by Mrs D.E. Arkright, who along with her husband, Mr R.B. Arkright MBE, lived in the village for over 40 years.

Rivey Hill is a hill overlooking Linton in Cambridgeshire, England (grid reference TL567480). At 367 feet (112 m) it is the highest point for several miles around. The hill has a steep slope leading down to Linton and a prominence of 69 feet (21 m). The highest point is on private land but a bridleway from Linton crosses near the top. A watertower on the hill identifies it when seen from a distance. The ascent of the hill is the start of a circular walk, detailed in Jarrold's Walks in Cambridgeshire, which goes north from the top to a Roman Road, follows this over the 312 feet (95 m) Hildersham Hill for 2 miles (3.2 km), then descends to Hildersham and returns along the valley of the River Granta to Linton.

Alder Carr is a 6.7-hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Hildersham in Cambridgeshire.The site is a wet valley which has alder on fen peat, a type of woodland, known as carr, which is now rare in East Anglia. Ground flora include angelica and meadowsweet. This habitat is very valuable to invertebrates.The site is private land with no public access.
