Lincoln Central Mosque and Islamic Centre, also known as Lincoln Central Mosque, is a mosque in the city of Lincoln in the ceremonial county of Lincolnshire, England. It is located on Dixon Street to the southwest of the city centre. The local congregation attend from the city and surrounding suburbs/villages near Lincoln. It is the only mosque in the city and is home to the second largest Muslim community in the county.

The Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) is a 446-seat multi-purpose auditorium, designed for live arts performances, conferences, and film screenings, in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England, and part of the University of Lincoln.

The River Till is a river in the county of Lincolnshire in England and is ultimately a tributary of the River Witham. Its upper reaches drain the land east of Gainsborough. The middle section is embanked, as the water level is higher than that of the surrounding land, and pumping stations pump water from low level drainage ditches into the river. Its lower reaches from the hamlet of Odder near Saxilby into the city of Lincoln were canalised, possibly as early as Roman times, as part of the Foss Dyke.Much of the channel is managed by the Environment Agency as it is classified as a main river, while the upper river and the land drainage ditches which border the river are managed by the Upper Witham internal drainage board. In order the help protect the city of Lincoln from flooding, a sluice has been built across the channel at the Till Washlands site. When flooding is a possibility, the sluice is closed, and other sluices allow the surrounding farmland to be inundated until water levels start to fall again. The defences were first used in 2000, and successfully prevented flood damage in Lincoln in the summer of 2007. There are issues with water quality on much of the river, caused by run-off from agricultural land, physical modification of the river channel, and discharges from sewage treatment works. In 2011, a stretch of the river near Saxilby was affected by the invasive aquatic fern Azolla. An environmental project to control the fern saw some 8,000 Azolla weevils (Stenopelmus rufinasus) released into the river. As they feed exclusively on the fern, once the fern has been consumed they die out naturally without affecting native species.

Boultham is a district and suburb of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. The population of the City of Lincoln ward at the 2021 census was 11,258 this included the areas of New Boultham and Swanpool Garden Suburb.The ecclesiastical parish of Boultham covers most of Lincoln west of the River Witham near Lincoln High Street and part of Lincoln City Centre. The northern boundary is defined by Brayford Pool and the Fossdyke as far as Carholme Golf Course. The district includes the suburbs of Hartsholme, New Boultham and Swanpool. Tritton Road runs through the centre of Boultham. As at 2011, the Boultham ward on Lincoln City Council is represented by three Labour Party councillors; the ward on Lincolnshire County Council by one Labour councillor. The area is home to Lincoln Central Mosque and Cultural Centre and multiple retail parks.

The Engine Shed is a music and entertainment venue at the University of Lincoln in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England, and is operated by the University of Lincoln Students' Union. The venue comprises three areas: The Engine Shed, which is the main hall; The Platform, which is a smaller floor overlooking the main hall; and Towers, which is a sports bar serving food and drink split over two floors.

John of Gaunt's Palace was a late 14th-century merchant's house which stood in the lower part of Lincoln High Street, opposite the St Mary Guildhall. It was progressively demolished from the late 18th century until the 1960s. The very fine oriel window from the building has been preserved in the gatehouse of Lincoln Castle.

St Mary's Guildhall is a major domestic complex, indicating the highest social status, built in the part of the medieval city of Lincoln, England, known as Wigford. The Guildhall faces directly onto Lincoln High Street and stands to the north of Sibthorp Street. To the south is the late Saxon church of St Peter at Gowts. Stocker describes it as "the only survivor from the small group of the king's town houses which existed in several major towns….St Mary's Guildhall is a domestic complex on a palatial scale, indicating the highest social status, and as such is representative of a little known urban building type".

Central Methodist Church, Lincoln (formerly known as Portland Place Methodist Church) is a Grade II listed Methodist church in the city of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. It is an active place of worship in the Boultham area of the city near St Peter at Gowts church. It is one of the most unique listed buildings in Lincoln.

The Brayford Island is a man-made island that lies in the Brayford Pool in the centre of Lincoln in England. A single willow tree covers the island. It is also known as Swan Island as it is a site for nesting swans. Speculation about the origins of the island has led it to be of historical interest.

St Peter at Gowts is a Grade I listed parish church in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.

Brayford Pool is a natural lake formed from a widening of the River Witham in the centre of the city of Lincoln in England. It was used as a port by the Romans – who connected it to the River Trent by constructing the Foss Dyke – and has a long industrial heritage.Today, the waterfront surrounding the pool is home to a range of hotels, restaurants, bars, entertainment venues and a modern University (the University of Lincoln). There is also a year-long programme of events on the waterfront including vehicle displays, music evenings and carnival parades.
