Nøtterøy Church

Borgheim is the administrative centre of the municipality of Færder in Vestfold, Norway. The village is located in the middle of the island of Nøtterøy. Before 2018, Borgheim was the administrative centre of the municipality of Nøtterøy before Nøtterøy and Tjøme where combined into the municipality of Færder.

Vestskogen is an area on the island of Nøtterøy, in Nøtterøy municipality, Norway. It is located on the north-eastern side of the island and forms part of the urban area of Tønsberg. Vestskogen has 1847 inhabitants (2010).

Teie Church (Norwegian: Teie kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Færder Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is located in the village of Teie. It is the church for the Teie parish which is part of the Tønsberg domprosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Tunsberg. The red brick church was built in a rectangular design in 1977 using plans drawn up by the architect Elisabeth Breen Fidjestøl. The church seats about 520 people.

It is considered a part of the urban settlement Tønsberg, which covers the greater Tønsberg city area as well as the northern and eastern parts of Nøtterøy. The urban settlement Tønsberg has a population of 45,447, of which 15,818 people live within Nøtterøy.

Skjerve is a village and statistical area (grunnkrets) in Nøtterøy municipality, Norway. The statistical area Skjerve, which also can include the peripheral parts of the village as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of 152.The village Skjerve is located between Kjøpmannskjær in the south and Borgheim in the north. It is considered a part of the urban settlement Årøysund, which covers the southern part of the island. The urban settlement Årøysund has a population of 2,069.

Nøtterøy is an island and a former municipality in the present-day municipality of Færder in Vestfold and Telemark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Borgheim. The parish of Nøtterø was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Two islands were later transferred from the municipality of Stokke to Nøtterøy: Håøya (in 1901) and Veierland (in 1964). The whole municipality was made up of a small island group south of Tønsberg municipality, including the islands of Nøtterøy, Føynland, Veierland, and about 175 smaller islands. Nøtterøy includes the villages of Borgheim, Glomstein, Teie, and Torød. As 2010, 16,418 of the municipality lived within the town of Tønsberg, an urban area shared between the two municipalities.It is the largest island in Vestfold County. The highest point on Nøtterøy Island is Vetan with an elevation of 99.7 meters. The mountain has been operated by the Norwegian Armed Forces since 1897. The military currently operates a radio station at Vetan.

Signaturen is a residential high-rise building in Tønsberg city, Norway. The building is situated in Kaldnes on the northernmost part of the island Nøtterøy in Tønsberg municipality. At 43 metres (141 ft) tall, it is Vestfold county's tallest building.The building is owned by the Norwegian residential property developer Selvaag Bolig and completed in early 2019, but was opened for new residents already in December 2018. The construction started in 2017. The residential building has 13 floors and 23 apartments. The top floor can be reached by either stairs or a high-speed Kone traction elevator. The tower has a neo-futuristic architectural style.

Tønsberg Cathedral (Norwegian: Tønsberg Domkirke) is a Lutheran church located in Tønsberg, Norway. It is the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Tunsberg within the Church of Norway. Originally a parish church, it was elevated to cathedral status in 1948 when the Diocese of Tunsberg was created, detached from the Diocese of Oslo. The cathedral has space for 550 seats.

Vestfold County Municipality (Norwegian: Vestfold fylkeskommune) was the regional governing administration of the old Vestfold county in Norway. The county municipality was established in its most recent form on 1 January 1976 when the law was changed to allow elected county councils in Norway. The county municipality was dissolved on 1 January 2020, when Vestfold was merged with the neighboring Telemark county, creating the new Viken county which is led by the Viken County Municipality. The administrative seat is located in Tønsberg and the county mayor was Rune Hogsnes of the Conservative Party and the final chief administrative officer for the county municipality was Egil Johansen.The main responsibilities of the county municipality included the running of the ten upper secondary schools with about 8,500 pupils in addition to Skiringssal Folk High School. It managed all the county roadways, public transport, dental care, culture, and cultural heritage sites in the county. Public transport was managed through Vestfold Kollektivtrafikk.
