Frick Park is the largest municipal park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, covering 644 acres (1.006 sq mi). It is one of Pittsburgh's four historic large parks.

The Fern Hollow Bridge was a bridge in the East End of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that carried Forbes Avenue over a large ravine in Frick Park. The bridge opened in 1973 and collapsed on January 28, 2022. The bridge was west of the intersection of Forbes Avenue and South Braddock Avenue, connecting the Squirrel Hill neighborhood with the neighborhoods of Point Breeze and Regent Square.

Homewood Cemetery is a historic urban cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located in Point Breeze and is bordered by Frick Park, the neighborhood of Squirrel Hill, and the smaller Smithfield Cemetery. It was established in 1878 from William Wilkins' 650-acre (2.6 km2) estate, Homewood.

Alvin P. Shapiro (December 28, 1920 – November 21, 1998) was an American physician and professor primarily at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Shapiro was the recipient of a Lasker Award and was known for his research in hypertension, behavioral sciences, and related diseases.

The Colfax Elementary & Middle School is a public school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Its building, built in 1911, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. As of October 1, 2017, there were a total of 890 students enrolled in the school. The school's Principal is Dr. Tamara Sanders- Woods and the Vice Principal is Joan Murphy (middle school). The school is one of oldest schools still open in the City of Pittsburgh. The school added a new building with a glass bridge connecting the two buildings, in 2007 circa. The school is under Pittsburgh Public Schools direction, and led by Superintendent Anthony Hamlet.

Swisshelm Park is a neighborhood located in the southeast corner of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is represented on Pittsburgh City Council by Corey O'Connor. Swisshelm Park houses PBF 19 Engine, and is covered by PBP Zone 4 and the Bureau of EMS Medic 7. A majority of Swisshelm Park is largely surrounded by Frick Park. Squirrel Hill's Nine Mile Run project borders it on the west; to the north is a section of the park adjacent to the Regent Square and the Parkway East. It also includes Duck Hollow, whose roads only connect to Squirrel Hill, in its borders. The Sarah Jackson Black Community Center caters to the recreational and civic interests of the neighborhood. The Center also lists the names of the hundreds who fought in the Second World War from the small community, including seven who died in action. Swisshelm Park Parklet is the place for young children to play. The neighborhood adjoins Frick Park, Regent Square, the Squirrel Hill shopping district, and Edgewood Towne Centre. Swisshelm Park is full of suburban-style ranch and two story brick homes. It is also a tightly knit, family-oriented community. Its residents are active in its many recreational and youth programs. Because many city agencies require its employees to be city residents, the suburban character of the neighborhood has attracted many employees in the Department of Public Safety's Bureaus of Fire, Police and EMS, and the Pittsburgh Public School District.

St. Philomena's Church was a Roman Catholic parish originally located in Pittsburgh's Strip District within the Diocese of Pittsburgh. Although this church was formally established in 1921, the origin of the parish dates to 1839.

Taylor Allderdice High School is a public high school in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It opened in 1927 and is part of the Pittsburgh Public Schools district. It was named for industrialist and Squirrel Hill resident Taylor Allderdice, who was a member of the city's first school board and president of National Tube Company, a subsidiary of U.S. Steel.

The Sterrett Sub-District School in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a building from 1898. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Frick Pittsburgh is a cluster of museums and historical buildings located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States and formed around the Frick family's nineteenth-century residence known as "Clayton". It focuses on the interpretation of the life and times of Henry Clay Frick (1849–1919), industrialist and art collector. The complex, located on 5.5 acres (22,000 m2) of lawn and gardens in the city's Point Breeze neighborhood, includes Clayton, the restored Frick mansion; The Frick Art Museum; The Car and Carriage Museum; the Greenhouse; the Frick children's playhouse; and The Café. The site welcomes over 100,000 visitors a year. Admission is free. Helen Clay Frick (1888—1984) was the driving force to preserve the Frick estate and allow it to open to the public after her death.

Killer Heals (Killer Heels: The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe) was a blockbuster exhibition that ran at the Brooklyn Museum from September 10, 2014 – March 1, 2015.The exhibition displayed high-heeled footwear, for men and women, as art objects. The New York Times called the exhibition, "mesmerizing, disturbing but undeniably consummate." The Museum extended the extremely popular show an additional 2 weeks beyond the scheduled closing date.The curator was Lisa Small, who also edited a well-received illustrated book on the topic, "Killer Heels: The Art of the High-Heeled Shoe. Photographer Steven Klein collaborated on the exhibit.Killer Heels was also presented later at: Albuquerque Museum of Art and History in 2015, Frick Art & Historical Center in Pittsburgh in 2016, Currier Museum of Art in New Hampshire.

The Old Heidelberg Apartments in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a building from 1905. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
