Monte Moregallo

The Corni di Canzo (en: Canzo's Horns), (also known as Còrni o Curunghèj o Culunghèj in Canzés) are a group of mountains located in the Triangolo lariano (larian triangle), to the south of Lake Como. Administratively they belong to the province of Como.

The Abbey of San Pietro al Monte is an small medieval monastic complex mostly dating to the 11th century, in Lombard Romanesque style, on a hill outside the town of Civate, province of Lecco, in northern Italy. Founded in 796 as a small hermitage by the Lombard king Desiderius, the complex was considerably expanded in the 11th century, and then left alone in terms of major building and decorating. It was secularized in the aftermath of the French Revolution. Its 11th-century features remain very largely intact, including many frescos and carved reliefs. In 2016 it was added to the "tentative" list to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as part of a group of eight Italian medieval Benedictine monasteries, representing "The cultural landscape of the Benedictine settlements in medieval Italy".

Valbrona (Comasco: Valbroeuna [ʋalˈbrøːna]) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of Milan and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northeast of Como. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,575 and an area of 13.9 square kilometres (5.4 sq mi).Valbrona borders the following municipalities: Abbadia Lariana, Asso, Canzo, Lasnigo, Mandello del Lario, Oliveto Lario, Valmadrera.

The Monte Barro Natural Park (Italian: Parco naturale del Monte Barro) is a nature reserve in Lombardy, Italy. Established in 2002, it encompasses the Monte Barro massif, a Site of Community Importance near Lecco, between Lake Como and the smaller lakes of Annone and Garlate.Despite its small size, the park boasts a varied environment (grasslands, woodlands, and rocks) and considerable biological diversity, with over a thousand floral species in fewer than 700 acres, which led to the Center for the Indigenous Flora of Lombardy being established in the park.The fauna includes fire salamanders, kestrels, common buzzards, black kites, peregrine falcons, hen harriers, common ravens, vipers and Aesculapian snakes.The Piani di Barra archaeological park, centered on late Roman fortifications, is located inside the park, as is an ancient hermitage, today used as visitor center. The park offers a varied range of educational projects for schools.
