The Centre for Studies on Federalism (CSF) was established in November 2000 with the primary purpose of studying and researching the theory and practice of Federalism both as a political doctrine and in its implementation in the institutional systems of the Modern state. CSF's main focus is on the infra-national, macro-regional and global scale of federalism: it specifically considers regional integration at a time of globalisation, with special reference to Europe, its history and civilization, its progress towards unification and its future.

The Collegio Carlo Alberto is a private research and teaching institution, located in the city of Turin, northern Italy, in the province of Turin. The institution was created in 2004 as a joint initiative of the Compagnia di San Paolo and the University of Turin, at first located in Moncalieri. Its mission is to foster research and education in social sciences. Acting president of the Collegio is Giorgio Barba Navaretti.The Collegio's research community consists of full-time junior faculty hired on the international academic job market, faculty of the University of Turin, and visiting scholars. They conduct research within the social sciences with both empirical and theoretical emphasis. Research interactions are fostered by seminar series and scientific conferences. Since 2006 the Collegio has hosted hundreds of international speakers, including Nobel laureates, and leaders of financial institutions.The Collegio coordinates the Allievi Honors Program, organizes five one-year master's degree programs (Economics, Economics and Complexity, Finance, Insurance and Risk Management, Public Policy and Social Change), and hosts two doctoral programs of the University of Turin. English is the operating language of the Collegio. Historically, prior to the 1990s, the Collegio Carlo Alberto referred to a Piedmont boys boarding school. The school has since closed, but the building retains its name.

CLEI, the Centre for the Comparative Analysis of Law and Economics, Economics of Law, Economics of Institutions is a research center founded in 2004 by four renowned research universities, Cornell University Law School (School of Law, John M. Olin Program in Law and Economics), Ecole Polytechnique (Pole de Recherche en Economie et Gestion), University of Turin (Dipartimenti di Economia 'S.Cognetti de Martiis', Scienze Economiche e Finanziarie 'G.Prato', Scienze Giuridiche) and the University of Ghent (Law School, Centre for Advanced Studies in Law and Economics).Subsequently, the centre has been expanded to include the following partner universities. Moncalieri (Italian: [moŋkaˈljɛːri]; Piedmontese: Moncalé [mʊŋkaˈle] (listen)) is a town and comune of 56,134 inhabitants (31 January 2022) about 8 kilometres (5 mi) directly south of downtown Turin (to whose Metropolitan City it belongs), in Piedmont, Italy. It is the most populous suburb of Turin and it is notable for its castle, built in the 12th century and enlarged in the 15th century, which later became the favorite residence of King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy and of his daughter Princess Maria Clotilde of Savoy. It is part of the World Heritage Site Residences of the Royal House of Savoy.

The station is a through station of the Turin-Pinerolo-Torre Pellice railway. It started to work on 27 July 1854. Since 2012 it serves line SFM2, part of the Turin metropolitan railway service.

Palavela, formerly known as Palazzo delle Mostre and Palazzo a Vela is an indoor arena that is located in Turin, Italy, on the bank of the River Po. It was designed by engineer Franco Levi and architects Annibale and Giorgio Rigotti. The arena is 130 metres in diameter. It has a seating capacity for a maximum 12,200 people, and 9,200 when configured for basketball games.The Palavela was featured in the 1969 film The Italian Job. In a famous scene in the film, three Minis are seen driving onto and over the arena's distinctive roof.

Bengasi is a station of the Turin Metro in Turin, Italy, opened on 23 April 2021. It was one of two stations opened in 2021 as part of the Line 1 southern extension. The station is located under Piazza Bengasi, near the city limits of Turin and Moncalieri. As of April 2021, it is the southernmost terminus station for Line 1, previously it was Lingotto. Upon her visit to the construction site in November 2020, the mayor of Turin, Chiara Appendino, called the completion of Bengasi station a priority for her administration, acknowledging that the work, now in the final stages, has had a significant impact on the daily life of residents in the neighborhood. She also confirmed Spring 2021 as the scheduled opening to the public.
