Waterworld (Welsh: Byd Dŵr), formerly the Wrexham Swimming Baths, is a leisure centre in Wrexham, North Wales. Known for its hyperbolic paraboloid roof, the only roof of its type in Wales, the centre houses a set of swimming pools and a gym. The centre was opened in 1967, with a major refurbishment occurring in the 1990s, being re-opened by Elizabeth II in March 1998 under its current name. Due to the difficult and high maintenance costs of the roof, the building was proposed to be demolished before its 1998 refurbishment and again in the 2010s as part of a council reorganisation and cost-saving measure of leisure services in Wrexham County Borough. Under these newer proposals, Waterworld was proposed to be replaced by a new facility somewhere in Wrexham city centre. The plans were abandoned in 2015 due to funding concerns, and the centre was instead transferred to a trust, Freedom Leisure, in 2016 for ten years. Since being transferred to a trust, a petition was launched to reinstate the centre's unofficial mascot, a green inflatable alien. The centre houses multiple pools, a lazy river, water slide, and a bubble pool, as well as a large viewing terrace. It houses a gym, Costa Cafe and spaces for other activities.

The Grove Park School (or simply the Groves School) is a former school building in Wrexham, North Wales, which was home to a school between 1939 and 2003. The site has been derelict since 2003, and was proposed for demolition by Wrexham council, until the Welsh Government listed the building in 2016 following a campaign to preserve it. Various bids have been made to re-develop the site, including becoming part of Coleg Cambria, converted into a new primary school or a Welsh-medium secondary school, a medical training facility, and most recently part of a national gallery. There were initially two schools using the local name Grove Park, a boys and a girls school, based on Grove Park Road and Chester Road respectively, until they were both converted into comprehensive schools, with the former boys school merging to the main existing girls school site, in which it became the Bromfield High School and later Groves High School. The old boys school buildings became part of Coleg Cambria's Yale campus.

Tŷ Pawb (Welsh pronunciation: [tɨ pau̯b]; lit. 'Everybody's House') is a multi-purpose centre in Wrexham, Wales. It serves as a venue for arts, cultural and community events, as well as being a market and art gallery. A redevelopment of the former Wrexham People's Market (Welsh: Marchnad y Bobl) between Chester Street and Market Street in Wrexham city centre, the community centre opened on 2 April 2018. It provides exhibitions, a gallery, a food court, small stage concerts and live events, as well as a market space for local traders and the relocation of Oriel Wrecsam. A multi-storey car park is located on top of Tŷ Pawb, on the building's upper floors.

Chester Street (Welsh: Stryt Caer; rarely Stryd Caer) is a street in Wrexham city centre, North Wales. It was once a main north–south road on the edge of the centre of Wrexham. The street has several listed buildings, as well as Wrexham's civic centre containing various council, memorial and leisure buildings, Coleg Cambria's Yale campus, Tŷ Pawb (former People's Market) and various historical buildings now demolished.

Saith Seren (Welsh for 'Seven Stars'; its former name) is a Welsh-language community centre and pub in Wrexham, North Wales. Located on the corner of Chester Street and Lambpit Street, the Grade II listed building dates to 1898, as a rebuilding of a previous pub located on the site. The rebuilt building was designed by Liverpool architect Thomas Price, who designed the building in a commercial style, incorporating elements of the Arts and Crafts style. The two-storey building is made of Ruabon red brick, and Price also designed the building adjacent, the former Empire Music Hall. The building operated as the Seven Stars pub until 2011. A few months later, plans were announced to reopen the building as a community-run Welsh-language community centre and pub. The new centre opened as Saith Seren (Welsh for 'Seven Stars') in January 2012, under a lease from a new landlord. The landlord pressured the centre to close in 2015 over unmet finances, but community support raised enough funds to keep it open. The community co-operative running the centre, Canolfan Gymraeg Wrecsam, purchased the building in 2023.

The Elephant and Castle was a public house on Charles Street in Wrexham, Wales, known to have existed in 1788, and closed in 1999. The building has housed the Magic Dragon Brewery Tap since 2019. It was sometimes known as the Elephant Inn.

Xplore! Science Discovery Centre, branded simply as Xplore!, is a science centre in Wrexham, Wales. It is currently based between Henblas Street and Chester Street in Wrexham city centre. Formerly known as Techniquest@NEWI and Techniquest Glyndŵr, as a sister venue to Cardiff's Techniquest, it was housed on Wrexham University's (then Glyndŵr University) Plas Coch campus from 2003 until its relocation in 2020. The centre is operated by North Wales Science, a charity wholly owned by Wrexham University.

Llwyn Isaf (Welsh for 'lower grove'), also known as the Library Field, is a green space in the centre of Wrexham. It is surrounded on two sides by the city's guildhall and on another by the library. The space is most popular with students from the nearby Yale College. It is home to a bandstand and often hosts outdoor events and activities. All ball games and alcohol are banned on Llwyn Isaf. Wrexham Council run a webcam that is pointed at the grass.

Charles Street (Welsh: Stryt Siarl) is a street in Wrexham city centre, North Wales. It contains multiple listed buildings. It was originally considered part of the High Street, but later became known as Beast Market Street due to its importance as a drovers' road towards Wrexham's Beast Market. Today, the street is known for its small independent businesses. The listed buildings on the street include the No. 20–23 terrace, and parts of the Wynnstay Arms Hotel and former Feathers Hotel. The street was also home to the Elephant and Castle pub, a historically notorious pub in Wrexham.

The General Market (Welsh: Y Farchnad Gyffredinol; or Marchnad Gyffredinol) is an indoor market in Wrexham city centre, North Wales. It is situated inside a Grade II listed building between Wrexham's Henblas Street and Chester Street on a site formerly known as Manchester Square. Built in 1879 as the Butter Market, it is one of the two dedicated indoor markets of Wrexham. The indoor market has since suffered from declining visitor numbers over the last few years, and as a result Wrexham County Borough Council has announced plans to re-develop the indoor market from 2023.

Yale College, Wrexham (Coleg Iâl) is now part of Coleg Cambria. Formerly a further education college situated in Wrexham, North Wales, Yale College, Wrexham merged with Deeside College in August 2013 to create Coleg Cambria, the college for North East Wales, one of the largest UK colleges. Coleg Cambria is a Young Adult community for people aged 16 years and older. Coleg Cambria consists of six campuses including Deeside, Yale Grove Park, Yale Bersham Road, Llysfasi, Northop and Wrexham Training. The college offers a wide range of courses from Further Education to HNC’s and Foundation Degrees for full and part-time students, apprentices and part-time community learners.

The Feathers Hotel is a former pub and coaching inn in Wrexham city centre, North Wales. First known as The Plume of Feathers, the building was popular with drovers heading to Wrexham's Beast Market. The inn was remodelled in the mid-19th century to extend its frontage onto an adjacent property on Chester Street. It closed as a pub in 2001, and has since been converted into a grocery shop and apartments.
