St Peter's Church, Regent Square

Regent Square is a public square and street in the London Borough of Camden in London, England. It is located near Kings Cross and Bloomsbury. Regent Square was laid out around a large garden in the historic Harrison Estate and first occupied in 1829, forming a garden square similar to more famous ones to the west in Bloomsbury. The southern side of the square is composed of its original buildings, and is Grade II listed in its entirety. Also listed is the phone box within the square gardens themselves.Regent Square was home to the National Scotch Church (the 'Caledonian Church') - the first purpose-built Scottish Gaelic Presbyterian church in London - which was built between 1824 and 1827. In 1843, it became an English Presbyterian church. The square was also home to St Peter's Church, a Church of England church. Both churches were struck by bombs in World War II and subsequently demolished.

St George's Gardens is a public park in Bloomsbury, London Borough of Camden.

King's Cross is a ward of the London borough of Camden, in the United Kingdom. The ward has existed since the creation of the borough on 1 April 1965 and was first used in the 1964 elections. The population of the ward at the 2011 Census was 11,843.

Westminster Kingsway College is a large college for further education in central London with centres in King's Cross in Camden, together with Victoria and Soho centres in Westminster. Founded in 2000 and having origins dating back to 1910, the college is part of Capital City College Group, alongside City and Islington College and The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London. Altogether, the group have over 25,000 enrolled students as of 2020. Westminster Kingsway College provides further, adult and higher education programmes, including full-time and part-time vocational, professional and academic courses at different levels.

Cromer Street is a road in St Pancras, London in central London, England. It starts in the west at Judd Street, then goes east, ending at Gray's Inn Road. It gave access from Gray's Inn Road to Greenland Place and a bowling green.

Dairy Art Centre was an art gallery in the premises of a former dairy in London founded in 2013 by Frank Cohen and Nicolai Frahm which exhibited work from their personal collections, as well as from other institutions. It was also used a venue to hire for events Dairy Art Centre's inaugural exhibition in early 2013 was called Quicksand by John Armleder.In 2014, Julian Schnabel presented Every Angel has a Dark Side, his first solo exhibition in a public art space in the UK for nearly 15 years. The exhibition was universally panned by local art critics, with the Guardian calling it "colossally bad" and the Telegraph labelling it as "irrefutably awful"The gallery ceased its activities later that year on 7 December 2014

Sartorial Contemporary Art (2005–2010) was an artist-run gallery founded by Gretta Sarfaty Marchant, artist and curator, as a project-led space in central London, England. Originally based in an 18th-century Georgian house on Kensington Church Street. Sartorial Contemporary Art moved to Kings Cross in October 2008 where it has built a reputation for embracing newly emerging artists. The Guardian said of the Harry Pye exhibition, Me, me, me, "the gallery space has achieved maturity and it has become a real space within the artistic circuit." Sartorial Contemporary Art in house magazine The Rebel started in 2005, in collaboration with Harry Pye is released four times a year, usually connected with a current exhibition theme.

The Foundling Museum in Brunswick Square, London tells the story of the Foundling Hospital, Britain's first home for children at risk of abandonment. The museum houses the nationally important Foundling Hospital Collection as well as the Gerald Coke Handel Collection, an internationally important collection of material relating to Handel and his contemporaries. After a major building refurbishment the museum was reopened to the public in June 2004. The museum explores the history of the Foundling Hospital, which continues today as the children's charity Coram. Artists such as William Hogarth and the composer George Frideric Handel are central to the Hospital story and today the museum celebrates the ways in which creative people have helped improve children's lives for over 275 years. It is a member of The London Museums of Health & Medicine group.

The Knowledge Quarter is a knowledge cluster, located in a small area of London around King's Cross, the Euston Road and Bloomsbury.The partners of the Knowledge Quarter include The British Library, The British Museum, Google, The Alan Turing Institute, Francis Crick Institute, SpringerNature/Holtzbrinck, The Wellcome Trust, The Guardian, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Royal College of Physicians, UCL, SOAS, University of London and Working Men's College amongst others.

The Water Rats is a live music venue at 328 Grays Inn Road, Kings Cross, London, England. Until 1992, it was known as The Pindar of Wakefield and was famous for its regular old time music hall entertainment. Bob Dylan played his first UK gig here in December 1962. The Pogues (then known as the Pogue Mahones) had their first performance here on October 4, 1982. Oasis's debut London performance took place here on 27 January 1994. The Beta Band played their debut show here on Wednesday 23 July 1997. Acts such as Katy Perry, Sisteray, The Courteeners and Ra Ra Riot also appeared here prior to international acclaim. On October 1, 2004, the venue hosted The Decemberists, who were playing their first show outside North America. In 2014, The Water Rats began hosting a weekly quiz night. The venue reopened in October 2015 with a new management.Originally built in 1517, when the landlord was George Green, one-time Pindar of Wakefield, who was supposed to have had connections with Robin Hood. The present house, built in 1878, was once patronised by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Until the 1980s, it housed a regular 'Old Time Music Hall'. In 1986, the premises were bought by the Grand Order of Water Rats and the name of the venue was changed to the Water Rats.

The Foundling Hospital in London, England, was founded in 1739 by the philanthropic sea captain Thomas Coram. It was a children's home established for the "education and maintenance of exposed and deserted young children." The word "hospital" was used in a more general sense than it is in the 21st century, simply indicating the institution's "hospitality" to those less fortunate. Nevertheless, one of the top priorities of the committee at the Foundling Hospital was children's health, as they combated smallpox, fevers, consumption, dysentery and even infections from everyday activities like teething that drove up mortality rates and risked epidemics. With their energies focused on maintaining a disinfected environment, providing simple clothing and fare, the committee paid less attention to and spent less on developing children's education. As a result, financial problems would hound the institution for years to come, despite the growing "fashionableness" of charities like the hospital.
