Sintra Station (Portuguese: Estação Ferroviária de Sintra) is a railway station in the town Sintra and the terminus of the Sintra Line from Rossio, one of main stations in Lisbon. It is managed by Infraestruturas de Portugal.

Sintra (Santa Maria e São Miguel, São Martinho e São Pedro de Penaferrim) is a civil parish in the municipality of Sintra, Lisbon District, Portugal. It was formed in 2013 by the merger of the former parishes Santa Maria e São Miguel, São Martinho and São Pedro de Penaferrim. The population in 2011 was 29,591, in an area of 63.55 km².

The population of the municipality in 2011 was 377,835, in an area of 319.23 square kilometres (123.26 sq mi). Sintra is one of the most urbanized and densely populated municipalities of Portugal. A major tourist destination famed for its picturesqueness, the municipality has several historic palaces, castles, scenic beaches, parks and gardens. The area includes the Sintra-Cascais Nature Park through which the Sintra Mountains run. The historic center of the Vila de Sintra is famous for its 19th-century Romanticist architecture, historic estates and villas, gardens, and royal palaces and castles, which resulted in the classification of the town as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sintra's landmarks include the medieval Castle of the Moors, the romanticist Pena National Palace and the Portuguese Renaissance Sintra National Palace. Sintra is one of the wealthiest municipalities in both Portugal and the Iberian Peninsula as a whole. It is home to one of the largest foreign expat communities along the Portuguese Riviera and consistently ranks as one of the best places to live in Portugal.

The Sintra Natural History Museum (Portuguese: Museu de História Natural de Sintra) is a museum of natural history located in the historic center of the village of Sintra. The museum has both at national and international level due to the quality and rarity of many of its exhibits.

College Internacional Infanta D. Maria de Portugal is an international school located in Sintra, Lisbon, Portugal. The school was established in 2005 when it obtained its official license from the Ministry of Education.[1] International School Colégio Infanta D. Maria de Portugal is an international bi-lingual school. International School College Infanta D. Maria de Portugal has an emphasis on Portuguese education and follows a modified version of the Cambridge curriculum and prepares students for IGCSE and A-level examinations. All IGCSE subjects are based on the Cambridge University curriculum. Admission to the school is dependent on a successful interview and entry examination. Founded in 2005 and a private fee-paying school, it has been run since 2006 by a Board of Governors composed of teachers. Children from the ages of 3 to 18 enjoy an exceptional education. The school operates with the internationally recognised[1] and demanding Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programme of study. This programme offers a broad choice of curriculum and has a reputation for developing successful students.[2] International School College Infanta D. Maria de Portugal has integrated the teaching of the national language and culture into their curriculum, with a department of dedicated and qualified English speakers faculty. Portuguese language lessons are now mandatory at the younger levels with children taking these classes divided into groups according to their linguistic skill level. This will increase the opportunity for those attending the school to leave it fully bi-lingual. Portuguese children at the school, meanwhile, achieve an education in English while still being able to learn their own language and literature in accordance with the Portuguese Education Ministry programme. It is also an accredited University of Cambridge Examinations Centre. In 2007 it received planning permission to build Portugal's first bi-lingual primary school which delivers some subjects in Portuguese and English. Most classes are taught in English and some in Portuguese. The bilingual concept took two years to devise and formed the basis of a Masters in International Education dissertation by its director, Carlos Miguel Sousa Almeida.

Igreja de Santa Maria (English: Church of Santa Maria) is a church in Sintra, Portugal. It has been classified as a National Monument since 1922 and is part of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, a World Heritage Site since 1995. The church, with three naves, represents the transition between Romanesque and Gothic of the mid-12th century.

The Palace of Sintra (Portuguese: Palácio Nacional de Sintra), also called Town Palace (Palácio da Vila), is located in the town of Sintra, in the Lisbon District of Portugal. It is a present-day historic house museum. It is the best-preserved medieval royal residence in Portugal, being inhabited more or less continuously from at least the early 15th century to the late 19th century. It is a significant tourist attraction, and is part of the cultural landscape of Sintra, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Ferreira de Castro Museum is a museum in Sintra, Portugal devoted to the life of José Maria Ferreira de Castro, a Portuguese journalist and writer, who was buried in the hills overlooking the city. The museum is run by the municipality of Sintra and admission is free.

The Castle of the Moors (Portuguese: Castelo dos Mouros) is a hilltop medieval castle located in the central Portuguese civil parish of Santa Maria e São Miguel, in the municipality of Sintra, about 25 km (16 mi) northwest of Lisbon. Built by the Moors in the 8th and 9th centuries, it was an important strategic point during the Reconquista, and was taken by Christian forces after the fall of Lisbon in 1147. It is classified as a National Monument, part of the Sintra Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Quinta do Relógio (literal translation: Farm of the Clock Tower) is a quinta located near the historic center of Sintra, on the Portuguese Riviera. It is classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO within the "Cultural Landscape of Sintra". Along with the nearby palaces such as Seteais Palace and the Quinta da Regaleira next to it, it is considered one of the tourist attractions of Sintra. The property consists of a romantic palace and chapel, and a park. Relógio was featured in numerous publications internationally including Variety magazine, and Architectural Digest, when pop star Madonna reportedly purchased the property.

The Seteais Palace (Portuguese: Palácio de Seteais) is a neoclassical palace located in Sintra, on the Portuguese Riviera, operating as a luxury hotel known as the Tivoli Palácio de Seteais Hotel. The palace is a national landmark and is included in the UNESCO Cultural Landscape of Sintra World Heritage Site listing.

The Pena Palace (Portuguese: Palácio da Pena) is a Romanticist castle in São Pedro de Penaferrim, in the municipality of Sintra, on the Portuguese Riviera. The castle stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains above the town of Sintra, and on a clear day it can be easily seen from Lisbon and much of its metropolitan area. It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. It is also used for state occasions by the President of the Portuguese Republic and other government officials.
