Olivos, Buenos Aires

Asociación Escuelas Lincoln is an international school located in La Lucila, a residential neighborhood in the Vicente López Partido district north of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The school has class sizes of 15–22 students and is the only US-accredited school in Argentina. Many of its students have parents that work for embassies or international companies.

Northlands School is a co-educational, non-denominational bilingual school with campuses in Olivos and Nordelta, Argentina.

The Quinta presidencial de Olivos, also known as Quinta de Olivos, is an architectural landmark in the north side Buenos Aires suburb of Olivos and the official residence of the President of Argentina. It is one of the President's official residences.

The Kheyvis fire was a fire in the Kheyvis nightclub in Olivos, Buenos Aires, Argentina. On 20 December 1993, a fire in the club caused the deaths of 17 teenagers in a graduation party for the La Salle College. It is believed to have been caused by the burning of furniture as a prank, although no one was charged with starting it. The Kheyvis fire led to tougher regulations, including mandatory emergency exits and extensive security inspections of existing nightclubs. Until the República Cromagnon fire on 30 December 2004 in Buenos Aires, the Kheyvis fire was the worst nightclub tragedy in Argentine history.

La Lucila is a neighborhood in Vicente López Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The community is a suburb in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. It has a light railway station (La Lucila) on the Retiro-Tigre line - north on the line is Martínez and south is Olivos. It is also close to the Tren de la Costa. The name comes from a large mansion that was named for the owner's wife. He was teniente coronel Alfredo F. de Urquiza and his wife was named Lucila Marcelina Anchorena de Urquiza.

Florida is a neighborhood in Vicente López Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The community is a suburb in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. In 2020 the population was estimated at 48,158, making it the second most populated neighborhood in Vicente López Partido. It is 15 kilometers north of downtown Buenos Aires. Florida grew and prospered in the late 1800s when it became a railway stop; the community became progressively more urban and started to receive Italian and English immigrants who set small farms that provided vegetables and fruits to nearby Buenos Aires. Nowadays it is an upper middle class residential area serving as a bedroom community. It is bordered to the east by Vicente López neighborhood, to the north by Olivos, to the south by the city of Buenos Aires, and to the west by Villa Martelli.

Martínez is a city in San Isidro Partido, Buenos Aires Province. It is part of Greater Buenos Aires, and effectively a suburb of Buenos Aires. It is served by a commuter train service, the Tren de la Costa tourist railway line, and many buses. Some areas of Martínez, especially near Avenida del Libertador, are relatively affluent. That area is considered rather safe. Unicenter is a major shopping centre. Some of the better-known cafés are Café Victoria and Café Martinez. A favoured street for shopping is Calle Alvear. A UBA (Buenos Aires University) building is located in Martínez. The Martinez local government has a recycling program. Martínez is distinct from Villa Martínez de Hoz and Coronel Martínez de Hoz. The Josefina C. Bignone Rehabilitation Institute for visually impaired and blind people provides rehabilitation services for sight-impaired people in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The institute is funded by the Municipal Direction of Disability (an agency of the Buenos Aires City Legislature) and by the Ministry of Public Health. It was founded in 2001. The institute aims to promote eye health prevent, detect and treat eye diseases.

The Museo de la Fundación Romulo Raggio is a museum located in Vicente López Partido, Buenos Aires, Argentina.The museum is operated by the Rómulo Raggio Foundation. It is housed in a 5,600-square-metre (60,000 sq ft) 1930 neoclassic palace that has been declared of municipal interest.

The Instituto La Salle Florida is an Argentine private school founded in 1934 and located in Florida, Vicente López Partido, Buenos Aires Province. Although it is managed by lay people, it belongs to the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, a Roman Catholic religious teaching congregation created by French priest and educational reformer Jean-Baptiste de La Salle in 1680. Originally established as a boys-only school, nowadays both male and female students attend classes. It offers early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary education. In recent years, the school has organized a marathon in order to raise funds for charitable purposes.

Florida Oeste is a city of the Vicente López Partido in the northern suburbs of Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is principally a middle-class and industrial neighbourhood located between the barrios of Villa Martelli and Munro, also in the same partido (department).
