Lake Zurich High School, LZHS, or Lake Zurich Senior High School is a public four-year high school located in Lake Zurich, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago, in the United States. It is part of Community Unit School District 95, which is home to five elementary schools and two middle schools, primarily taking students from Lake Zurich Middle School North and Lake Zurich Middle School South, but it also takes students from local parochial schools such St. Francis de Sales. Students from most of Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods portions of Kildeer, Deer Park, North Barrington and unincorporated areas such as Forest Lake and Echo Lake attend Lake Zurich High School.

Ela Township is a township in Lake County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 42,654.

Deer Park is a village in Lake and Cook Counties, Illinois. Per the 2020 census, the population was 3,681. The village is one of the few left in the Chicago area that enjoy a green belt which is bordered by two large natural areas providing outdoor recreation and open space. The village is home to popular shopping and dining destinations: Deer Park Town Center and the Town Center Promenade. The town is also home to the Vehe Farm, an Illinois Centennial Farm. Residential zoning is mainly single family homes with lot of sizes of 1-acre (4,000 m2) or more. Upscale townhomes are available near the Deer Park Center. The Metra/Chicago & Northwestern train line provides commuter service to Chicago with stations in nearby Barrington and Palatine.

Forest Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Ela Township of Lake County, Illinois, United States. It is about 35 miles (56 km) northwest of downtown Chicago. Per the 2020 census, the population was 1,784. The community was founded in 1935 as a vacation community for Chicago residents.

The Quentin Collection is a moderate sized (171,179 square feet (15,903 m2)) lifestyle center/shopping plaza located in Kildeer, Illinois. It is located directly across from Deer Park Town Center, but both are located in different towns (DPTC being located in Deer Park, Illinois). The center, which opened in Fall 2005, is home to a mix of big-box retailers, and upscale retailers.Major retailers include Best Buy, DSW, Inc., Kirkland's, PetSmart, Stein Mart, Fresh Market, and Furniture Kidz.

Kildeer is a village in southwestern Lake County, Illinois, United States, and a suburb of Chicago. Per the 2020 census, the population was 4,091. It has limited development to custom houses on large lots, and has worked to preserve natural features and open space.

Hawthorn Woods is a village in Fremont and Ela townships in Lake County, Illinois, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 9,062. The village is located approximately 40 miles (60 km) northwest of downtown Chicago. Hawthorn Woods was officially incorporated in 1958. Major transportation arteries include Midlothian Road, Old McHenry Road, Algonquin Road, Half Day Road, and the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway. Hawthorn Woods Country Club, whose golf course was designed by golf professional Arnold Palmer, is located within the village's perimeter.

Deer Park Town Center is an upscale lifestyle center in the northwest Chicago suburb of Deer Park, Illinois, situated at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 12 (Rand Road) and Long Grove Road, just north of Lake Cook Road. It opened on October 27, 2000, and is a one-level, open air lifestyle shopping center.The shopping center consists of over 70 retailers and restaurants, spread across 407,293 square feet (37,838 m2) and generates considerable traffic from throughout the northwest suburbs, primarily in the Barrington, Lake Zurich, Long Grove, Palatine, Kildeer and Buffalo Grove communities, and from farther places as well.

The Jewel Tea Company, Inc. building was a historic building at 511 Lake Zurich Road in Barrington, Illinois. The building was built in 1920-30 as a new headquarters for the Jewel Tea Company, which operated the Jewel supermarket chain. The building was used as the company's main offices as well as a manufacturing plant for several of Jewel's products, including coffee and tea. At the time, it was unusual for companies to relocate from the city to the suburbs, and Jewel's relocation to Barrington had a considerable economic impact on the village. Architecture firm Holabird & Root designed the building using a combination of the Art Deco and Moderne styles.The company was bought by American Stores, inc in 1984 and was later added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 3, 2004. It was demolished later in the same year. and was removed from the National Register in 2020.

The largest geographic public library district in Illinois, the Barrington Public Library District covers a 72-square-mile (190 km2) area in Cook, Lake, Kane, and McHenry counties, and encompasses all or part of the communities of Barrington, Barrington Hills, Deer Park, Lake Barrington, North Barrington, South Barrington, Tower Lakes, Algonquin, Fox River Grove, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Kildeer, Lake Zurich, Palatine, Port Barrington, and some unincorporated areas. Located in the center of the library district, the 60,000-square-foot (5,600 m2) library building houses a collection of 330,000 books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, audio and video downloads, and other items. The library's park-like campus includes a sculpture garden, and a series of gardens designed to spotlight native plants. Wi-fi service is available throughout the building and grounds. Advanced self-check out and return systems are used, along with 3D printing services. The library presents cultural events, an art gallery, book discussions for all ages, computer and technology classes, business workshops, and a wide variety of children's programming in the library's meeting rooms, which are also used for meetings by over 300 nonprofit community organizations. Annual circulation is approximately 1,186,681, and more than 415,242 people visit the library each year.
