Greåker is a borough in the city of Sarpsborg, Norway, located 7 km west of the city centre. Before 1992 Greåker was a part of Tune municipality. It is situated at the river Glomma between Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad.The borough of Greåker is the home of the Premier League Floorball team "Greåker Bulldogs". The team's home arena is the Tindlundhallen arena. Greåker has been a site for diverse industry for decades, most notably in the area of paper production. The most notable remaining industry today is Nordic Paper's kraft paper mill by the Glomma river, which is the continuation of over a hundred years of various wood processing works (e.g. Greaker Cellulose, Greaker Industrier).There is a fortress located in Greåker, built during the first decade of the 20th century. It was one of several fortresses built along the Norwegian/Swedish border during this period, in preparation for a potential war between Norway and Sweden. Norway was struggling to leave the union with Sweden, which had lasted since 1814. This war never came to happen, and the fortress was partially disabled. During World War II, the Germans attacked the fortress, coming across the river Visterflo, which unites with its source, Glomma, again at Greåker. Today the fortress is in poor condition, and used as a look-out point over Fredrikstad and the southern parts of Sarpsborg.

Glosli is a village in the eastern part of Fredrikstad municipality, Norway. Its population (SSB 2005) is 613.

Rolvsøy is a village, an island, and a former municipality in Viken county, Norway. It was created by a split from Tune on 1 January 1911. At that time Rolvsøy had a population of 2,381. On 1 January 1994 Rolvsøy was incorporated into the municipality of Fredrikstad, the neighboring municipality to the south. Prior to the merger Rolvsøy had a population of 5,947. The Tune ship, a viking ship dating from ca. 900 and now exhibited in the Viking Ship Museum in Bygdøy, Oslo was found in Rolvsøy in 1867. It was so named because it was found in a boat burial mound on Rolvsøy which was a part of Tune at that time.

Sellebakk is a community in the town of Fredrikstad in Norway. It is located in the former municipality Borge, on the eastern bank of Glomma. Lisleby is located to the west. Sellebakk is also sometimes written as Selbak. The local sports team is Selbak TIF.

Yven is a borough in the city of Sarpsborg in Østfold, Norway. It is located east of the city centre on the west side of the Glomma river between Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad. Yven was previously assigned to the former municipality of Tune. As of 1885, the village was estimated to have had 297 inhabitants.

Fredrikstad/Sarpsborg is an urban area in Norway consisting of the twin cities Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad, in addition to several smaller towns in between and on the outside of the core of the cities. The development of the region has progressed so far that Fredrikstad/Sarpsborg now is considered one urban area. Fredrikstad/Sarpsborg is Norway's seventh largest urban area, with a population of 101,698 as of January 2009, of which 42,803 reside in Sarpsborg and 58,895 reside in Fredrikstad.

The Tune ship (Tuneskipet) is a Viking ship exhibited in the Viking Ship Museum (Vikingskipshuset på Bygdøy) in Bygdøy, Oslo.The Tune ship is of the karve, a small type of longship with broad hull. It was found at the Haugen farm on the island of Rolvsøy in the parish of Tune in Viken, Norway. It was discovered in a ship burial mound (Båthaugen, from the Old Norse words båt meaning boat and haugr meaning mound or barrow). It was discovered when the burial mound was opened and the site was excavated by archaeologist Oluf Rygh in 1867. It was named the Tune ship by Professor Rygh after excavation. This is due to the discovery being located in Tune parish.The Tune ship is fragmentary, but may have been up to 18.7 metres (61 ft) long. It is 4.2 metres (14 ft) wide and would have had 11 or 12 pairs of oars. The length of the keel is approximately 14 metres (46 ft). The ship was built around AD 900. It was made principally of clinkered oak planks. It is of rugged construction with naturally grown ribs, thick crossbeams and a solid gunwale.

Sparta Amfi is an indoor ice hockey rink located in Sarpsborg, Norway. The 3,900-spectator venue is the home of Sparta Sarpsborg and Sarpsborg Skøyteklubb. The arena opened in 1963 as the first indoor ice rink in Norway. Major upgrades were carried out in 2006 and 2012, and a second rink opened in 2007.

Østfold Hospital Trust is a health trust in Norway with bases in Fredrikstad, Moss, Sarpsborg and Halden. It is owned by Southern and Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority.

Tune is a former municipality in Østfold county, Norway. The former municipality originally covered the current Sarpsborg municipality with the exception of Skjeberg and with the addition of Rolvsøy.

The Tune stone is an important runestone from about 200–450 AD. It bears runes of the Elder Futhark, and the language is Proto-Norse. It was discovered in 1627 in the church yard wall of the church in Tune, Østfold, Norway. Today it is housed in the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History in Oslo. The Tune stone is possibly the oldest Norwegian attestation of burial rites, inheritance, and beer.
