Murphy's Bush

The Okura Bush Scenic Reserve is a protected forested area on the Hibiscus Coast in the Auckland Region, New Zealand. It is the location of the Okura Bush Track.

Ōkura is a northern suburb of the North Shore, part of the contiguous metropolitan area in Auckland, New Zealand. It is under the local governance of the Auckland Council. The official name is spelled with a macron.Ōkura is a small village on the south shore of the Okura River, on the opposite shore to the Okura Bush Scenic Reserve. It is the only location that provides access to the Okura River in the form of basic launching facilities for small craft. The New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage gives a translation of "place of red (clay)" for Ōkura.

The Ōkura River, also known as the Ōkura Estuary, is a river in the north of the Auckland Region in the North Island of New Zealand. The river rises in the low hills to the south of Silverdale and flows into Karepiro Bay on the Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana. The river is extremely tidal with only a narrow channel being navigable by small craft at low tide. The area is popular for horse riding, riders wait till low tide and then ford the boating channel to ride the estuary and beaches on the northern side.

Redvale is a settlement slightly north of the Auckland metropolitan area, in New Zealand. Part of it is located in the North Shore, and most of Redvale is rural. It is located north of Fairview Heights, and borders Lonely Track Road. State Highway 1 runs through parts of Redvale, and the suburb is located in Albany ward.The area of Redvale used to be a rural locality, but most of Redvale's purpose nowadays is to store rubbish in a landfill. The landfill is appearing to soon be full, and is apparently a source of power. It is home to half of the rubbish in Auckland.

Karepiro Bay is a bay of the Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana in the Auckland Region, New Zealand. It found between the Whangaparāoa Peninsula and North Shore, and is the mouth of the Weiti River and Ōkura River.

The Weiti River is an estuarine river to the north of Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand. It rises as the Weiti Stream in the low hills approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) west of Silverdale and emerges into the Hauraki Gulf immediately south of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula. The upper stretches of the river are heavily grown with mangroves but with care, small craft can navigate it as far as Silverdale at high tide. Stillwater is the only other settlement along the river's banks. Wentworth College, based in nearby Gulf Harbour, uses the Weiti River for its rowing training.Up until the 1950s this river and estuary was known by locals as the Wade river.

Stillwater is a village in the northern end of Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand. Situated on the Weiti River immediately south of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula in the Rodney District, it is part of the area known as the Hibiscus Coast. There is also a Stillwater, West Coast in the South Island.

Long Bay is one of the northernmost suburbs of the North Shore, part of the contiguous Auckland metropolitan area located in New Zealand.The coastline is occupied by the Long Bay Regional Park, and the shoreline is in Long Bay-Okura Marine Reserve, which opened in 1995. The beach is sandy and swimming is safe. It offers forest walks and scenic cliffs. This beach has low tide water. Smaller beaches to the north, such as Pohutukawa Bay, accessible except at high tide, are among Auckland's most popular naturist spots; Public nudity is technically legal on any New Zealand beach where it is "known to occur".The Vaughan Homestead is an historic house at the north end of the beach. It is open fortnightly to the public.

Pōhutukawa Bay is a beach north of Long Bay, located on the North Shore of Auckland. It is situated northeast of Ōkura, close to Piripiri Point. Directly south of Pōhutukawa Bay Beach is Granny's Bay Beach, and a little further south is Long Bay Regional Park. The beach is accessible only at low tide, and it is among one of Auckland's most popular naturist beaches. Public nudity is technically legal on any New Zealand beach where it is "known to occur". Getting to the beach requires going through the coastal track, a 6 km (3.7 mi) walk that starts from the beach carparks, and ends at the Okura River.

Long Bay College is a state co-educational secondary school located in Torbay, a suburb of the North Shore in Auckland, New Zealand. The decile 10 school serves Years 9 to 13, and has 1510 students as of February 2023. Christopher (CJ) Healey is the school's current principal. Long Bay College has a large zone boundary including the upper east coast bays, Brookfield, Albany, Albany heights, Redvale, Coatesville, Paremoremo and Brighams creek. Long Bay College in NCEA school exams 88.5% of students passed in Level 1 year 11 a 2.8% decrease compared to last year, 89.6% of students passed in Level 2 year 12 a 3.5% decrease compared to last year, 88.4% of students passed in Level 3 year 13 a 4.5% increase compared to last year, 76.1% of students entered universities a 0.7% decrease compared to last year.

The Long Bay-Okura Marine Reserve is a 980-hectare (2,400-acre) protected area at Long Bay on the North Shore in the Auckland Region of New Zealand. It was created by Order in Council in 1995.The shoreline of the Long Bay Regional Park and the Okura Estuary Scenic Reserve adjoins the marine reserve.

Torbay Heights is a suburb of the North Shore, located in Auckland, New Zealand. It is currently under local governance of Auckland Council and is situated next to Torbay.
