Motspur Park, also known locally as West Barnes, is a residential suburb in south-west London, in the New Malden district. It straddles the boroughs of Kingston upon Thames and Merton. Motspur Park owes its identity to the railway station of the same name, opened in 1925, which has six trains an hour to London Waterloo, and to the adjacent parade of small shops. Three prominent gas holders, which were used to store the consumer gas supply for south-west London, stand just south of the shopping parade and can be seen from a wide area. Two of London's minor natural watercourses flow through Motspur Park: Beverley Brook runs south to north through the centre and its tributary the Pyl Brook runs parallel to the east in shallow depressions in the land. The Motspur Park athletics stadium was built by the University of London in 1928 and achieved fame when the world mile record was set there in 1938. It was sold to Fulham Football Club as their training ground in 1999.

New Malden War Memorial is a Grade II listed war memorial in the town of New Malden, Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Greater London, England, commemorating local victims of the First and Second World Wars. Situated in the High Street of New Malden, in front of the erstwhile New Malden Town Hall now owned by Waitrose, New Malden War Memorial comprises a three-tiered cenotaph on a pedestal and two-stepped base.The memorial was unveiled in a public ceremony on 8 November 1924 by Private F. Jackson of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, who was blinded during the First World War. It was slightly damaged on 16 October 1940 after a bomb fell within 20 feet (6.1 m) of the memorial during the Blitz. The memorial was rededicated in 1952 to honour New Malden soldiers who died during the Second World War, with more names added on 3 May 1998 in a ceremony hosted by Councillor Chrissie Hitchcock. On 27 July 2014, a new plaque was added to commemorate the centenary of the first World War. It was listed at Grade II by Historic England on 15 March 2017.

New Malden High Street is a 1 km-long high street in New Malden, the centre of the suburb that grew up around New Malden railway station in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, now part of south west London.

Coombe Boys' School and Sixth Form is a non-selective state secondary school with a mixed sixth form in New Malden, Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, England. The cohort comprises boys from Years 7 to 11 and a joint sixth form facility is offered for Year 12 and 13 students. The school was founded in 1931 (as Beverley Central School) and celebrated its 90th Anniversary in 2021. In 2006, the school federated with Coombe Girls' School and Sixth Form forming part of the Coombe Academy Trust and has a long-standing educational partnership with the independent King's College School, Wimbledon. Coombe Boys' School is part of the Kingston Teaching School Alliance, a partnership of over twenty schools, Achieving for Children (AfC) and two higher education institutions; the UCL Institute of Education (University of London) and the University of Roehampton. In February 2023, it was announced that large parts of the school buildings are to be demolished and replaced in a major re-building programme.

Motspur Park railway station is a suburban station in the London Borough of Merton in south London. The station is served by South Western Railway, and is in Travelcard Zone 4. It is 9 miles 57 chains (15.6 km) down the line from London Waterloo. Southbound destinations are Chessington South, Dorking and Guildford. The station stands atop a railway embankment off a service road behind the parade of shops on West Barnes Lane. The shops and surrounding streets on both sides of the line are known as Motspur Park. There is also footpath access from Claremont Avenue on the western side. The station is a single island platform reached by footbridge from either side of the track. The station retains its original Southern Railway buildings in the centre of the platform.

Coombe Brook is a 1 km (0.62 mi) long stream (brook) in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, London, England, that is a tributary to Beverley Brook, itself a tributary of the River Thames. Rising in Malden Golf Course in New Malden, Coombe Brook flows a northeasterly course through the golf course, then into a culvert under the Kingston By-pass section of the A3 road, before finally flowing into the Beverly Brook near Coombe on the boundary of the London Borough of Merton.Historically, Coombe Brook flowed into Beverley Brook at Coombe Bridge, which had existed as early as 1745. In the 1930s, the bridge was demolished and converted into its current state—a box culvert.

Christ Church is an evangelical Church located in the suburb of New Malden in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Greater London. Established on 3 December 1866, Christ Church is part of the Church of England, and is located in the Kingston Episcopal Area of the Diocese of Southwark. As of August 2022, Christ Church claims a weekly attendance of 750. The current vicar is Stephen Kuhrt, serving since 2007. New Malden was a speedily growing town, with its first seven residential streets built throughout the late 1850s. On 17 November 1865, Charles Stirling, first vicar of Christ Church, proposed its construction to the New Malden Local Board, with the opening and consecration of Christ Church taking place on 3 December 1866. The Church was enlarged with a new chancel and sacristy on 23 February 1878. On 12 November 1892, Stirling retired as vicar. Another extension to the church was built in 1966, with said hall later being demolished and replaced with a new entrance and new halls between 2017 and October 2018.

Cottenham Park is a small district of the London Borough of Merton located to the south of Copse Hill, north of Raynes Park, in West Wimbledon, London. It was named after Charles Pepys, 1st Earl of Cottenham.Cottenham Park is home to a recreation ground with the same name. Its facilities include a cricket ground and several tarmac tennis courts. It was opened in 1897, under the name Melbury Gardens.
