John Randolph Tucker High School

The West End is a part of Richmond, Virginia. Definitions of the bounds of the West End vary, it may include only the western part of the city of Richmond or extend as far as western Henrico County. As there is no one municipal organization that represents this specific region, the boundaries are loosely defined as being north of the James River, west of I-195, and south of Broad Street. Historically, the Richmond neighborhoods of the Fan and the Museum District were a part of the West End. A primary conduit through the West End is Interstate 64.

Northstar Academy is a private, non-profit, K-12 school located in Richmond, Virginia for students with learning challenges. The school serves students who experience a broad range of disabilities as identified under I.D.E.A. such as Specific Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorders (Asperger's/High Functioning), and Other Health Impairment (ADHD). Northstar Academy is an inclusive school that provides both academic and social instruction.The students, alumni, parents, and faculty afford students the opportunities to participate in "no-cut" sports (soccer, basketball, and cheerleading), performing arts (including and Talent Show) and school dances.

The mascot of Hermitage High School is the panther. Hermitage High School has athletic facilities with a concrete football stadium and a rubber-turf track.

Regency Mall is an enclosed shopping mall outside of Richmond, Virginia in unincorporated Henrico County, Virginia, United States. Opened in 1975 as Regency Square, the mall features a food court and more than 60 tenants, currently with no anchors. Macy's, which had two locations at Regency Square, closed in spring 2016, Sears closed in summer 2017, and JCPenney closed in fall 2020. Forever 21 closed in early 2020 as part of that brand's restructuring plan.

Glen Allen High School, established in 2010, is a public school located in Henrico County, Virginia. The mascot of GAHS is the Jaguar, and the school's current principal is Reginald Davenport. Glen Allen is the 16th best high school in Virginia, the 533rd best high school in America, and is one of nine high schools in Henrico County. 65 percent of the student body participates in AP classes. The student body is 51 percent female and 49 percent male. 38 percent of the school is made up of minorities. Glen Allen has a 19:1 student-faculty ratio. Virginia House of Representatives' Delegate Schuyler VanValkenburg is a teacher at the school. Glen Allen is a Gold Level LEED Certified building, and is the only school in the county with this distinction.

The Laurel Industrial School Historic District is a 6-acre (2.4 ha) historic district near Laurel, Virginia. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, at which time it included five contributing buildings.The district may be affected by the DC2RVA high-speed rail proposal.

Laurel is a census-designated place (CDP) in western Henrico County, Virginia. The population was 16,713 at the 2010 United States Census. It is the county seat of Henrico County. It is the location of the Laurel Skate Park. The bowl was recently filled in with smooth concrete and the vertical ramp removed to make way for safer amenities.Laurel is the location of the Laurel Industrial School Historic District.

Westham was an unincorporated town in Henrico County, Virginia. It is located in the present day area of Tuckahoe, Virginia. Westham was built at a transportation point on the James River. The James River flows free for several hundred miles from the west and Westham is located at the point where the Fall Line rocks prevented further river passage. Richmond, Virginia was built on the other side of the fall line where the river is navigable to the ocean. This made Westham the first destination for iron used in Revolutionary War. In later years, Canals and then Rail transport connected Westham to Richmond along the James River trade route. Westham was eventually absorbed into Richmond.

The Reynolds Metals Company International Headquarters is an International Style building complex set in a composed landscape in Henrico County, near Richmond, Virginia, completed in 1958. The low-rise Executive Office Building was designed by Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, in collaboration with Richmond landscape architect Charles F. Gillette. The headquarters complex has been cited as a prototype for modern suburban office development. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. It is the headquarters for the Altria Group, formerly known as the Philip Morris Companies, Inc. The property is owned by the University of Richmond.

Deep Run Park is a public park located in western Henrico County, Virginia at the northwest corner of Gaskins Road and Ridgefield Parkway. Henrico County acquired an initial 52.045 acres of land for the park in 1978 and an additional 108.767 acres in 1979, although the park was not opened for public use until 1987. An additional 3.98 acres of land was acquired in 2004, increasing the total size of the park to 164.792 acres.
