Wright Park is a 27-acre (11 ha) arboretum and public park located in Tacoma, Washington, that is managed by Metro Parks Tacoma. The park was designed by Bavarian landscape architect Edward Otto Schwagerl. The park was named in honor of Charles Barstow Wright, who had donated the land for the project. The arboretum contains over 700 mature trees, representing about 100 native and exotic species. The W. W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory is a Victorian-style conservatory located in Wright Park. Built in 1907, it was named in honor of donor William W. Seymour. Designed by Isaac J. Knapp, its wings and twelve-sided central dome contain some 3,500 panes of glass. Six sculptures created by former conservator Clarence Deming rest among the plants and reflect African, Māori, and Aztec traditions. The conservatory contains more than 550 plant species in its permanent collection, including agapanthus, azaleas, bromeliads, cacti, clivias, cymbidium, epiphyllum, ferns, figs, more than 200 orchids, palms, and rhododendrons. It also contains a rotating exhibit of floral displays that generally features between 300-500 blooming plants at any given time. The conservatory was featured in several scenes in the 1992 film The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, starring Annabella Sciorra and Rebecca De Mornay and directed by Curtis Hanson.

First Church of Christ, Scientist is a historic Christian Science church building located at 902 Division Avenue at the corner of I (Eye) Street in Tacoma, Washington. Designed in the Classical Revival style by noted as well as prolific Tacoma architect Frederick Heath, it was built at a cost of $45,000 between 1908 and 1911. It was the second building built by the congregation on this site, the first being a 1901 wooden structure seating 300 that was torn down in 1908. On June 2, 1911, the first service was held in the new church. After becoming debt free, the new church was dedicated in 1921.

"Annie" and "Fannie" are a pair of statues in Tacoma, Washington's Wright Park, in the United States. Sometimes collectively referred to as the "Dancing Girls" and "Greek Maidens", the sculptures flank the park's entrance at Division Avenue. Depicting dancing Greek maidens, the similar artworks were cast in a sandstone and concrete composite. Both were purchased and donated by local businessman Clinton P. Ferry in Europe in 1891, during the park's development. Their nicknames refer to Charles Wright's daughter and the park's proximity to Annie Wright Seminary, as well as the Fannie Paddock Hospital. Also known as "Violet" and "Pansy" during the 1930s, the sculptures were restored and erected on marble bases in 2009.Both are based on original artworks by Italian artist Antonio Canova. One statue, officially Dancing Girl with Hand on Chin, is based on Dancing Girl with Her Finger on Her Chin (1806–10), now installed in Rome's Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica. According to Metro Parks Tacoma, "Early pictures show that the Ferry version of the statue did indeed have her hand on her chin when the statues were first installed in 1892, but sometime in the mid-20th century the statue was broken and restored with her hand across her waist instead." The other statue, officially Dancing Girl with Hands on Hips, is based on Dancing Girl with Her Hands on Her Hips (1806–10), now installed in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.

Western Reformed Seminary is a seminary of the Bible Presbyterian Church located in Tacoma, Washington. The school provides theological training for ministers, missionaries, teachers, and interested Christians. The president is Tito Lyro. Western Reformed Seminary was founded in 1983.

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is a pediatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. It is an 82-bed facility and a state-designated level II pediatric trauma center. Mary Bridge was established in 1955 by members of Tacoma Orthopedic Association, a women's volunteer group established in 1921. Members of the Tacoma Orthopedic Association saw a need for a specialized pediatric health care center in Tacoma. Key funding came from the estate of Dr. Albert W. Bridge, a physician who practiced in Eatonville, Washington and later also opened a clinic in Tacoma. The hospital was named for his mother, Mary.Mary Bridge is physically connected with Tacoma General Hospital and both hospitals are owned and operated by MultiCare Health System, a Tacoma-based not-for-profit integrated health organization. Consequently, Mary Bridge and Tacoma General cooperate extensively and share resources with each other. Mary Bridge is affiliated with the University of Washington and is an active teaching site for medical students. It also has a joint pediatric heart surgery program with Seattle Children's hospital.

First Presbyterian Church in Tacoma, Washington is a historic congregation founded in 1873. Its current Romanesque building was designed by noted church architect Ralph Adams Cram, Mr. Earl N. Dugan (Sutton, Whitney and Dugan), who was locally in charge of construction, completed in 1925, and is a landmark of the Stadium District. In 2012 the church voted to leave the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and affiliate with the more Evangelical, ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. The church is adjacent to Tacoma Bible Presbyterian Church, which split off of First Presbyterian in 1935 and purchased the neighboring Scottish Rite Masonic Temple which fronts on the Wright Park Arboretum.

MultiCare Health System's Tacoma General Hospital is the largest hospital in Tacoma, Washington. It is a level II trauma center with 437 beds and the second-largest obstetrical care center in the state of Washington. Tacoma General began serving patients in 1882. The hospital is owned and operated by MultiCare Health System, a Tacoma-based not-for-profit integrated health organization.

Stadium High School is a public high school in Tacoma, Washington, and a historic landmark. It is part of Tacoma Public Schools, or Tacoma School District No. 10 and is located in the Stadium District, near downtown Tacoma. The original building was severely damaged by a fire in 1898 while it was still a partially-constructed hotel designed by Hewitt & Hewitt being used for storage. It was reconstructed for use as a school beginning in 1906 according to designs by Frederick Heath, and a "bowl" stadium was added later in 1910. Its attendance boundary includes Browns Point and Dash Point.

Fire Station No. 1 is a historic fire station located at 425 S Tacoma Avenue in Tacoma, Washington. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 2, 1986 as one of eleven properties in a thematic group, "Historic Fire Stations of Tacoma, Washington".

The Landmark Convention Center (historically known as the Masonic Temple Building, the Temple Theater, Helig's Theater, and John Hamrick's Temple Theater) in Tacoma, Washington, United States is located at 47 St. Helens Avenue. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. Ambrose J. Russell is credited as the architect of the meeting hall and theater. It is said to be in a Renaissance style and Late 19th and 20th Century Revival style, and said to have had its "period of significance" between 1925 and 1949.For many years the building served as a meeting hall for local area Masonic lodges. Today, no lodges meet in the building and it has been converted into a commercial catering and convention center.
