Rainbow Bridge connects Fidalgo Island and La Conner, crossing Swinomish Channel in Skagit County, Washington. This is a deck arch bridge made of steel, built in 1957, with a total length of 242.90 metres (796.9 ft) and a main span of 176.80 metres (580.1 ft). There is 75 feet (23 m) of clearance below the bridge, above Swinomish Clannel

La Conner is a town in Skagit County, Washington, United States with a population of 965 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Mount Vernon–Anacortes, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town hosts several events as part of the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival held in April.

The Museum of Northwest Art (also referred to as MoNA) is an art museum located in La Conner, Washington, and is focused on the Northwest School art movement, which had its peak in the mid-20th century. The Museum was founded by Art Hupy in 1981. It moved to its present building in 1995.

Fort Whitman (Washington) was an Endicott Board fortification on Goat Island, Puget Sound, Washington state, just offshore of La Conner, a part of the Harbor Defenses of Puget Sound. It comprised a single 4 gun 6" DC battery, Battery Harrison, and mine control structures. The usual barracks and other support facilities were temporary and built for the duration, excepting a caretaker's quarters. It protected the confined back passage east of Fidalgo Island, Skagit Bay. By World War II, the six-inch DCs were no longer required; the main armament was 37mm AMTB guns. Except during wartime, the fort remained on caretaking status throughout its existence.

The Swinomish SWIN-ə-mish (Lushootseed: swədəbš) are a historically Lushootseed-speaking Native American people in western Washington state in the United States. The Tribe lives in the southeastern part of Fidalgo Island in northern Puget Sound, near the San Juan Islands, in Skagit County, Washington. Skagit County is located about 70 miles (110 km) north of Seattle. Swinomish people are enrolled in the federally recognized Swinomish Indian Tribal Community, also known as the Swinomish Tribe, which is headquartered in Swinomish Village, across the Swinomish Channel from La Conner.

The Swinomish Indian Tribal Community, also known as the Swinomish Tribe, is a federally recognized Tribe located on Puget Sound in Washington. They are an Indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest that includes the Central and Coast Salish peoples who lived in the Samish and Skagit River valleys, nearby coasts, and islands. The Tribe's population includes Swinomish, Lower Skagit, Upper Skagit, Kikiallus, and Samish peoples.

The Swinomish Channel is an 11-mile (18 km) long salt-water channel in Washington state, United States, which connects Skagit Bay to the south, and Padilla Bay to the north, separating Fidalgo Island from mainland Skagit County. The Swinomish Channel is the smallest of the three entrances to Puget Sound—the other two being Deception Pass and Admiralty Inlet.The Swinomish Channel is partly natural and partly dredged. Before being dredged, it was a collection of shallow tidal sloughs, salt marshes, and mudflats known as Swinomish Slough. The United States Army Corps of Engineers used dredging and diking to create a navigable channel, completed in 1937 during the Great Depression.The channel is heavily used by fishing boats, tugs, recreational craft, and shallow-draft freight vessels.To maintain navigable depths, the Swinomish Channel must be dredged at least every three years. Dedicated federal funding for continued dredging was eliminated in the 1990s. A study in 2004–2008 determined that sedimentation would render the channel's north end impassable for virtually all vessels by 2015, and its south end by 2019. The channel was dredged again in 2008. In 2012 the Army Corps of Engineers received funding from Congress for another dredging project, which was finished in January 2013. The channel was most recently dredged in 2018.

The Swinomish Indian Reservation is the reservation of the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community, located on Fidalgo Island in western Washington state. The western boundary of the reservation is disputed between the Swinomish Tribe and the United States government. De facto, the reservation is around 15 square miles (39 km2; 9,600 acres) in size. It comprises a substantial portion of the eastern portion of Fidalgo Island. The total reservation population in 2000 was 2,664.

Bethsaida Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church Parsonage is a historic church parsonage in La Conner, Washington. Bethsaida Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church was built in 1890. The parsonage building which was located next to the church, was built in Vernacular Late Victorian style. The parsonage was added to the National Register in 1990.

Hope Island State Park - Skagit is a 200-acre (81 ha) Washington marine state park located on Hope Island at the northern end of Skagit Bay in Skagit County. The island has primitive campsites, beaches and forest with occasional meadows and rock outcroppings, and a trail across the island. Five mooring buoys are found on the island's northern flank. Herons nest on the southwestern end of the island. Significant cliffs surround most of the island, making getting inland a challenge.

Snee Oosh (also spelled Snee-Oosh or Snee-oosh) is a populated place on Fidalgo Island in the U.S. state of Washington, on the Swinomish Indian Reservation. Population was reported as 302 in 1999.There is also a Snee Oosh Point at 48°24′01″N 122°32′51″W, and Snee Oosh Beach at 48°24′07″N 122°32′38″W. The names all derive from a Swinomish village. In 2014, dozens of skinned animals washed ashore Snee Oosh beach. The carcasses were determined to be skinned minks being used as crab bait that were improperly disposed of.

Snow Goose Produce is a farm stand located on Fir Island in Skagit County, Washington.The roadside farmers market is located in the Skagit Valley midway between the towns of Conway and La Conner. The seasonal stand sells local goods and produce such as organic vegetables, Dungeness crab, smoked salmon, and large scoops of ice cream.The business is named after the migratory snow geese that winter on Fir Island and elsewhere in the Skagit River delta.
