Marikina Cityhood Park is a public park along the corner of Sumulong Highway and Shoe Avenue in Marikina, Metro Manila, Philippines. It features a 12 m (39 ft) concrete monument with a clock and 12 bells sourced from Italy as well as a fountain. It was unveiled in 2005 to commemorate ninth year anniversary of Marikina's cityhood.

It is widely known as the 2nd best public high school in Marikina, behind only the prestigious Marikina Science High School where Mayor Marcelino Teodoro formerly studied. However, the lack of its students' discipline and some of its students lacking when it comes to academics are often criticized Through the initiative of Marcelino Teodoro, and the PAGCOR Institution of the Aquino administration, a new building was established for the students of Sta. Elena High School, especially for the Senior High School students, due to the SHS Program of the Department of Education. .

The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned (Spanish: Santuario y Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados; Filipino: Dambanang Pandiyosesis at Parokya ng Ina ng mga Walang Mag-Ampon), better known as Our Lady of the Abandoned Parish Church, is a Roman Catholic church in Marikina, the Philippines. The church enshrines one of several images of the Madonna and Child venerated as miraculous, which has received a Pontifical decree of coronation. The church itself is a testament of a religious controversy rooting back from Marikina's early history wherein both the Jesuits and Augustinians fought over the ecclesiastical control of the area. The church is also known for featuring Metro Manila's longest Holy Week processions with around 87 floats as of 2023, and the third overall after the St. Augustine Parish in the Town of Baliuag and the San Isidro Labrador Parish in the Town of Pulilan, both located in the province of Bulacan and featuring at least 110 floats.

Kapitan Moy Building, also known as Cultural Center of Marikina situated in Marikina, Metro Manila, the Philippines, is the 200-year-old house of Don Laureano Guevarra (July 4, 1851 – December 30, 1891), known as the founder of the Marikina shoe industry. Also known as Kapitan Moy, he served as capitan municipal in the former municipality. A historical marker honoring him as the "Pioneer of the Shoe-making Industry in Marikina" was installed at his birthplace in 1970. Presently, there are two restaurants found in the ground floor of the Kapitan Moy Building and these are Café Kapitan Restaurant and Kusina ni Kambal. At the Café Kapitan Restaurant is an old well which serves as a décor and a wishing well to customers.

Jesús de la Peña Chapel or San Isidro Labrador Church is a historic visita in Marikina where the first Catholic Mass was held. Built by the Society of Jesus in the year 1630 with the permission of the reigning Archbishop of Manila, its establishment marked the beginning of the recorded history of Marikina, which was once a vast and mountainous area traversed by the Marikina River.

The Marikina Valley Fault System, also known as the Valley Fault System (VFS), is a dominantly right-lateral strike-slip fault system in Luzon, Philippines. It extends from Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan in the north and runs through the provinces of Rizal, and the Metro Manila cities of Quezon, Marikina, Pasig, Makati, Taguig and Muntinlupa, and the provinces of Cavite and Laguna that ends in Canlubang.
