The Fondation pour l'audition is a French scientific foundation for research about hearing impairment. The foundation is located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris.

The Opéra Bastille (French: [ɔpeʁa bastij] (listen), "Bastille Opera House") is a modern opera house in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, France. Inaugurated in 1989 as part of President François Mitterrand's Grands Travaux, it became the main facility of the Paris National Opera, France's principal opera company, alongside the older Palais Garnier; most opera performances are shown at the Bastille along with some ballet performances and symphony concerts, while Palais Garnier presents a mix of opera and ballet performances. Designed by Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott, it is located on Place de la Bastille. It may seat 2,723 people in total, with a main theatre, concert hall and studio theatre.

The Hôpital des Enfants-Trouvés was an institution of Paris established to take care of abandoned children. It was founded by Vincent de Paul in 1638.

Gare de la Bastille was a railway station in Paris. The station was opened in 1859 and served as the terminus of the 55-kilometre (34 mi)-long line to Vincennes and Verneuil-l'Étang. The line was opened only to serve the Fort de Vincennes, and was extended to La Varenne and later to Brie-Comte-Robert. The line finally reached Verneuil-l'Étang in 1892, and connected to the line to Mulhouse. Part of the line was included into the RER A on 14 December 1969. The station was demolished in 1984 so that the Opéra Bastille could be built.

The Mazas Prison (French: Prison de Mazas) was a prison in Paris, France. Designed by architect Émile Gilbert, it was inaugurated in 1841 and located near the Gare de Lyon. The building was destroyed in 1900.
