Karolin, Warsaw

Karolin is the future terminus of the western part of Line M2 of the Warsaw Metro. It is located in the vicinity of Połczyńska and Sochaczewska streets, in the Bemowo district. The opening of the station is planned for 2026.

Połczyńska Street (Polish: ulica Połczyńska, lit. Połczyn Street) is a major thoroughfare in Warsaw, Poland. Located in the western part of the city, in the borough of Bemowo, the street crosses the neighbourhoods of Chrzanów and Jelonki. It starts as a continuation of Wolska Street, crosses Powstańców Śląskich Street and leaves the city where it becomes the Poznańska Street of Ożarów Mazowiecki. Historically the street, variously known as the Kalisz Road, Poznań Road or Greater Poland Road, was the main road from Warsaw towards Błonie, Sochaczew, Kalisz and ultimately Poznań. Its entire length was formally incorporated into the city of Warsaw in 1950s.

Lazurowa is a neighbourhood in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland. It is a housing estate with high-rise apartment buildings, located between Czułchowska, Okrętowa, Sternicza, and Lazurowa Streets, within the City Information System area of Jelonki Południowe. The neighbourhood was constructed between 1975 and 1978.

Nowy Chrzanów is a neighbourhood in Warsaw, Poland, within the Bemowo district. It is a residential area with low-rise single-family housing, located alongside Okrętowa and Drzeworytników Streets, within the City Information System area of Jelonki Południowe. It was founded around 1877, as a small hamlet, settled by Germans, and was incorporated into the city in 1951.

Warszawa Ursus railway station is a railway station in the Ursus district of Warsaw, Poland. The station is served by Koleje Mazowieckie, who run trains from Skierniewice to Warszawa Wschodnia, and Szybka Kolej Miejska, who run trains from Pruszków PKP to Otwock. The station was opened in 1926 as Ursus. It was changed to its current name in 1977 when Ursus became part of Warsaw.

Mory [ˈmɔrɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ożarów Mazowiecki, within Warsaw West County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) east of Ożarów Mazowiecki and 10 km (6 mi) west of Warsaw.

Jelonki Południowe (South Jelonki) is a neighbourhood, and a City Information System area, in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland. It is a mixed residential area with low-rise singlefamily neighbourhoods of Stare Jelonki and Nowy Chrzanów, and the high-rise multifamily housing estate of Jelonki, and Lazurowa. It forms a southern portion of the area of Jelonki. Jelonki was founded in the 19th century as a small farming community. In the 1920s, its land was partitioned, and the village was developed as a garden suburb. It was incorporated into Warsaw in 1951. In the 1970s, the housing estates of Jelonki, and Lazurowa, were constructed.

The Battle of Białołęka was fought from 24 to 25 February 1831 in the village of Białołęka, Poland, during the November Uprising. Though the Polish forces were victorious over the Russians, the outcome was not decisive, and was inconclusive in the scope of the larger Russo-Polish War.
