Lake Munmorah or Munmorah Lake, a lagoon that is part of the Tuggerah Lakes, is located within the Central Coast Council local government area in the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. The lake is located near the settlement of Lake Munmorah and is situated about 110 kilometres (68 mi) north of Sydney.

Adelaide was a wooden cutter that was wrecked near Bird Island, Norah Head, New South Wales, in May 1834. She was carrying a load of timber.

HMAS Allenwood (FY18) was an auxiliary minesweeper operated by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) during World War II. She was launched in 1920 by Ernst Wright at Tuncurry, New South Wales, Australia as Allenwood for Allen Taylor and Co. Ltd. The ship operated along the east coast of Australia, and was requisitioned by the RAN on 27 July 1941. She was returned to her owners in 1946 before being wrecked near Norah Head on 14 September 1951.

The last decade has seen an important change in Budgewoi with the influx of people bringing greater infrastructure and development to the suburb. Coles opened its doors in 2005 expanding the central business area and drawing businesses and consumers to the area. It is a relatively quiet, coastal town.

The area's coastal setting and panoramic views, perched sand dunes, diverse vegetation communities, protected threatened species and migratory bird habitats, together with opportunities for nature based recreation and for educational and scientific study, were cited as reasons for the reserve's creation. The reserve is part of the Tuggerah Important Bird Area, identified as such by BirdLife International because of its importance for a variety of water and woodland birds.The area is located at an estimated altitude of 50 meters.

Crangan Bay is a coastal suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located between Budgewoi and Swansea on the bay of the same name. It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area. The suburb is a bushland area currently undergoing urban development. The major land owners are the local aboriginal land council and land held by an urban development company and the Coal and Allied mining company, who intend to turn this area into a suburb. There is a concrete recycling depot and gravel quarry on the northern end of the suburb which contains conglomerate used for road base. This product has been extensively used by Wyong Shire Council in the construction of local roads. This bay is part of the greater Wallarah Peninsula and Lower Hunter bioregions.

Colongra Gas Generation Plant (also known as Colongra Power Station) is a 667 MW gas-fired power station located in Colongra, New South Wales, Australia and is the largest gas-fired power station in New South Wales. It will generally be used during peak demand periods in New South Wales. The plant's construction was tendered to Alstom which began the construction in October 2007, adjacent to the Munmorah coal-fired power station. The plant was completed and commissioned in December 2009 at a cost of A$500 million.It was bought by Snowy Hydro in January 2015.
